For all the people just seeing this episode/anime for the first time, it is a really wholesome, funny and great anime trust me. The age jokes are just there for comic relief (dark humour) but they don't go farther than just that. I reccomend you all watch till the latest episode, it's really worth the watch
I think the only reason the dude became a ruthless Emperor in the future is because he didn't have somebody to love him and steer him away from such path. Bro was just lonely.
