All things considered it hasn't been that long, the last time a Dark Matter looking character appeared was Rainbow Curse which was only a year before Planet Robobot, although I think the return of Dark Matter in Planet Robobot as well as the heavy references to Zero and 02 in Star Dream's battle indicate that the Dark Matter may return in some regard.
The Audiosurfer though i doubt it star dream was much stronger than dark matter or Zero. so for kirby to battle him again after cause a massive genocide of dark matter

If they do make another zero battle then I think they should give him three phases then after his fight you fight much more darker and stranger versions of the bosses from other kirby games
Somehow Zero's massive blood explosion and release of all-blood core eye upon defeat seems slightly unfitting for a Kirby Game.

The people who came up with the ESRB etc. ratings propably didnt think any kid would actually try to 100% the game or couldnt even do it themselves ^^
Not a bad point... considering how many games they have to rate chances are they only play each game like one hour and just go with what they saw.
Then again Ocarina of Time contains the pretty horrifying Shadow Temple as well as the overly sexualized Great Fairy with the terrifying laugh and that game got an E (I think... may have been 10+ )
Maybe it's just more to do with the fact that back in those days the ESRB was still young and probably comparing this to Mortal Kombat, etc. , the games that more or less called them into existence.

But although with the introduction of the internet these raters should have more access a wider area of a game to rate and see beyond what lies in front of them, naturally some games will still get an undeserved rating from people who didn't (or rather couldn't, I don't want to make false accusations against raters ^^) fully experience the game, like for instance The Binding of Isaac, which got a 16+ rating NOT for its extremely gory if cartoony violence, but rather for it's "anti-religion" based theme, which doesn't really make sense for me in a game where you can literally descend into hell and then proceed to kill Satan.

How to make a Kirby boss.
1. Make a circle or abstract shape.
2. Add 1 or 2 eyes.
3. Give it two disembodied hands. (or none)
4. Make it float.
5. Make it have *dark* colors.
6. DONE!

I refuse to believe that the Dark Matter Forces won't come back.They left too much of an imprint on the kirby series to be gone for good. Plus, there have been a lot of demonic possessions in the kirby world lately, with those possessed becoming hell-bent on destroying pop star.

Dark Matter has to come back as the main villain. I mean so many final bosses from Kirby copy his design of a floating eyeball. Plus I feel like he just makes the perfect main villain against Kirby. More than King Dedede since he became Kirby's ally in the recent games
He's been his ally ever since the end of the first game, but they've been stop fighting over things fulltime in the recent games..

Hm....The fact that the machine was able to create a clone of the Dark Matter swordsman at all must mean that Dark Matter is still present in Kirby's world. What if this entire time, Dark Matter was just biding its time? Damaged, but rebuilding itself. Waiting for the right moment to come back and take over, ready for what Kirby has to throw at it.
And now we have the return of what is at least a form of Dark Matter's species in Star Allies, which even goes as far as to foreshadow that Kirby is a member of that species too.
I can't wait to see how they will incorporated The Dark Matter Invaders in future Kirby games.
You make the battle in Dreamland 2 look so easy.
The battle against Zero 2 is actually really gruesome as it causes Zero's eye to actually bleed blood.
Dark Nebula put up so little fight because it was all that was left of Zero. You don't notice until the very end that it's even lurking. It trailed Kirby until it could use it's last strength to take a couple swings at him.

Nebula's fight had such a great concept. Some tweaks would've made it so perfect.
The funny thing is that Dark Matter Swordsmen (Dream Land 2) was the most challenging out of all the Dark Matter battles. And this is the first battle against a Dark Matter member!

(Warning: this comment contains spoilers for the final boss of Kirby Star Allies)
You should probably update this because Void Termina is all but confirmed to be Dark Matter. Here’s why:
1. In the second phase when you first enter the body of Void, blood drops from the ceiling. It’s not confirmed to be blood, but c’mon, what else would it be? Anyway, this isn’t too groundbreaking, but it could be a reference to Zero and Zero2.
2. In the third phase, the wings of Void look extremely similar to those of Zero2.
3. In the fourth phase, one of Void’s forms looks strikingly similar to Dark Matter and even has some attacks that resemble those from other Dark Matter fights.
4. Void Termina’s soul form is white, which could be a reference to Zero and Zero2.
There probably are more reasons, but I’m not gonna list them all here.
I hope Kirby and the Forgotten Land digs deeper into Dark Matter
