    Can’t even compare to any other bourbon whiskeys. It’s hands down the best. That’s why it’s so rare to find in stores.

    Setting here with what I think is called a white buffalo. May be my new favorite drink. 2 shots of buffalo trace, 2 shots of half an half cream, 1/2 a shot of hazelnut liquor, and half a shot of ameratto, and a 1/4 shot of simple syrup. Mixed well an topped with cinnamon. Absolutely love it. Best whiskey on earth in my opinion. Love buffalo trace.

    I respect the tradition of Buffalo Trace. I respect the men throughout history that has helped create that tradition. That being said, I don't think the bourbon coming out of Buffalo Trace is as great as they would have you believe it is. It's average at best. It's on par with most bourbon being produced in the US. It's not special, it's ancestors are. There is a huge difference between the two. Buffalo Trace has done a wonderful job at convincing the public that it's bourbon is wonderful, and unique, and rare, and that you must have it. It's called marketing, and they are some of the best. I give them credit for that. I am not a Buffalo Trace hater, I in fact would love to visit the distillery, and go home with several bottles that I can't find where I live. I'm just not a lover that believes the bourbon coming out of Buffalo Trace is the best available.

      Ok I will name one. I live right down the road from Bardstown Kentucky. Where Jim Beam and a lot of other fine bourbons from the glorious bluegrass state. Get the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Unfortunately, getting the Fifth Bottle, in the same city, will still set you back about $70. It’s hands down the single best bourbon I have ever had in my life. If I drink it’s usually a top shelf small batch bourbon either on the rocks or served very very chilled. Like from the freezer. But I can say that I took a tiny sip as soon as I took it out cuz I mean you have to when it’s that special. And even warm it had this flavor and even served warm it was the smoothest bourbon I have ever tasted. It’s definitely not in my price range to buy often but it is definitely the most smooth, flavorful, and just had an amazing finish (What us Kentucky boys call, after taste). That’s all I wanted to say. But also I love Buffalo trace it is definitely a good bourbon and I can’t knock Jim Beam. But there are much better bourbons in Kentucky alone. If you happen to find a nice decent sized liquor store within 100 miles from Louisville you can find, in fact, better by a country mile, better bourbon than buffalo trace for cheaper and even better small batch bottles for about the same price. Some Henry McKenna small batch for about $35 a Fifth is a great choice as a cheaper, and in my opinion, better bourbon. If you do come to northern central Kentucky and can find a good selection here, you will find so many more. Basil Hayden also is another top shelf about $40 a bottle. I’m in no way hating just pointing out some of my favorites as an avid Kentucky limestone filtered water (that really does change the flavor I believe) bourbon, not saying that you can’t get the same water in more southern states but these old Kentucky distilleries know what good bourbon is all about.

      @@c-dubmediallc4933 he said name one at the same price point. Jim Beam has its fans and those who don’t like it as well. And I’ll take 2 bottles of EH Taylor for the same price as one bottle of your Woodford Double Oak every single time. Buffalo Trace puts out ridiculously good product for even better prices. A bottle of Stagg Jr is only $55 and was named 2nd best whiskey in the world in the last whiskey bible and still comes in cheaper than Woodford. The point being, everyone has their preferences and idea of a good value. BT is a great value in many peoples opinions. And mentioning Basil Hayden’s pretty much ruins your credibility 😂

    • @c-dubmediallc4933
      @c-dubmediallc4933 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProfessorOfLogic81 I’m not saying BT is bad by any means. And IMO I believe Basil Hayden is a better bourbon. I was just stating that in that price point there are better bourbons.
