Fantastic video! Valley of Tears is the only Gran Canaria climb I ever really hear about but seeing awesome ones like this has definitely sent the island shooting up on the destination list! And those last two kilometres 😍I'm with you on the height/edge fear as well...but what about bridges?!
Thanks Illi, really kind of you 😊 I did love VoT but as you say, it's already hyped enough! I don't know how GC compares to all the other awesome places you get to ride but I did really enjoy the variety of climbs there. Bridges are some how inexplicably excluded from my fear... 😂 Maybe I'm just soothed by how much I love them
Nice and 11% should not be in the same sentence mate :) Great climb though, but you really need to ride some alpine climb if you think that is high. The views from climbs as the Galibier, Ventoux, Stelvio, the climbs of the Sella ronde, the climbs around Andermatt (Susten, furka, Grimsel etc.) are on another league. Not that Gran Canaria has bad views, but the difference between 800-1000m and 2500m is really massive.
11% is the perfect gradient if you're an oddball like me 😂 Tbf the height isn't really that much of a draw for me, though I'd like to try those climbs simply for the reputation. Some of the other climbs on this holiday got to almost double this elevation (max 1700 I think) but I didn't find as exciting as this one - it's so dependent on road structure etc. Not that I doubt the views up those climbs aren't also great, just a secondary thing for me!
Off back there in May, never tried this one, will definitely give it a go! Thanks for the tip 👍
Awesome mate, I am jealous. Hope you have a great time and I hope you enjoy the climb, would hate to have given you a bad recommendation 😂

Nice one, cheers Nick 👍
Thanks Lee!
Speed bumps looked steep 😂
They're the only reason Dad needed the ebike tbh Stu
