Very interesting!!! Thanks for sharing this information!!!! Hey a win is a win whether it be half a length or 3 car lengths!!!! Every bit makes a difference in the NA arena!!!! Cheers 🥂 Brother‼️👍💪😎🇺🇸✝️
If the ported intake changes stock parameters monitored by the pcm it may not have the effect your looking for. If there was a tuner available you might see more consistent gains
Interesting video. That seems like a lot of work for the results you saw. It definitely wasn’t worse but that sounded like more work than taking out the Carbon traps. Anyway, keep up the great work. This series is definitely entertaining.
Thanks! That is what it's all about, someone has to do it...right? Naturally we plan to have one of the faster S650 Mustangs for a while, so we cannot sit and watch others. :)
Honestly, with how the stock manifolds already peak at limiter, you probably won't see the gains from being ported until they can be tuned and raise the limiter
I believe this is better than showing on a Dyno. Usually a ported intake on a n/a car doesn’t show much if any improvement on the Dyno but it definitely helps
In my opinion, you won't see any major gains on the ported intake until the car is boosted. Specifically, twin turbos. Then you may see a few tenths up to a half second.
Great stride man so i’am not sure if I should have my 2018 plenum ported for the price, your are doing it and testing it for me. Great content i’am ringing that bell right now keep it up can’t wait for some testing and ET at the track.👍😎💪🇨🇦
Thanks! Track results coming SOON - I cannot wait! Myself and my sidekick Corey should be going anytime now so we can snag that official 11-second slip! Stay tuned!
Thanks for the content...seeing as how your DA was much worse with the ported intake runs, I would say you were down HP, but it would not be that much (like 5hp)....but combine that with your ported intake gain and you might have saw a 10hp overall gain...hard to really say unless your testing apples to apples :)
Yep! Thats how I took it. I wasn't expecting big gains, but, it all adds up. When the car is at a level ahead of others we can look at the simple mod list and realize the package was either worth it, or not.
Liked the port job. Looking at the acceleration, there is more of a bow in the average in the ported vs. stock; starts higher and then falls off. Unfortunately, you can't remove the mufflers, but maybe the restriction is on the backend vs. intake at stock redline? Dumps for the win?
When you removed the stock or installed the ported, did you disconnect the battery? I was debating on porting mine but def don’t want any codes or that mess lol.

Thanks for watching!

Yeah, the plan is for it all to pay off eventually 👍

Absolutely agree 👍
I love your videos man! Wouldn’t bother me if you posted every single day!
Thanks! I will keep, "grinding away" :)

Thanks! I want to do more of this style testing on the future
I think it will help if the cylinder head is ported also .
Both ported there is a noticeable improvement.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting anything crazy. But I agree, I think it'll pay off down the road. 🤟

Headers coming soon! Let's see what happens. 🤟

I did. It still threw some codes and acted funky but eventually went away.
Great content! I was wondering why you didn't port the throttle bodies?
We may test those soon from Bret Barber at AFS. 👍
Great. I installed a ported throttle body on my C7 Z06 and it made a difference.@@MisterDragy
Is removing the air straighteners the right move? I would of liked to see you keep those to see if they matter.
We have never kept them on any previous intakes, and the power was always better with them removed.
@@MisterDragyDoes it cause any problems at all to remove those carbon traps?
How does the draggy calculator atmospheric pressure?
Great question!
Attitude difference
👌
I would not buy Mustang which is modded like that..
Me either!
How do you intend to run headers without tuning? Any way to not throw a code?
We will be sharing that, hopefully soon!
