Wasn't expecting another video this soon!!! I really enjoy seeing different sailboats and when you can interview the owners it makes it that much more special.. hopefully you can find more boats that are available to go through and check out. . It makes for some good content
Marina, what a pleasant surprise. Fantastic boat tour, such a lovely couple. We all wish them the best with their project. So nice to have a community of Helpful, knowledge around the yard. Enjoy!
Hi Guys.. Very interesting video. One thing that impressed me is how your English is so fluent Marina. It's not easy doing that much interviewing and you did a fantastic job.
I have a love for cats. I worked on several and a trimirand. Lots of room in the latter. Boats make me homesick. Thanks for showing us this tour.your friends look very cool as well
I watched these guys a while back , so that still haven’t smoothed out and painted the stb hull ! A tough job but which I could have given them pointers at the time . Defiantly a well respected cult boat , they will have to work hard not to overload it!!!! Cheers Warren
Happy people, here! A bonus episode! It was lovely meeting your friends. We really enjoyed touring their boat, and are now subscribed to Sailing Joa. 😎❤️😎❤️😎🥰
Team Seabird out and about 😊. I liked what they said about introducing a new positive vibe and love into the boat. With all the sweat, dedication and hardwork I think Seabird knows she is loved and one day she will take you to new beautiful places ❤.
Watched your blogs. Funny there was a mention of Prout Catamarans. I worked for them in about 1994. Built four boats. Traced one. Been refurbished now in the Carrabean. Made me smile
Been watching your videos for a good while now, love the fact that nothing seems to bother you to much, you just crack on , I've been working on Celine a boat in northen Spain viveiro, she should be ready for a shake down in the summer time, well as they say in the USA good job , all the best Craig
Its a bit like a similar size wharram or Maincat. The easy solution to the condensation is to buy rolls or tiles of cork as thic as can bend to the curves.. If they need more add two layers...they can seal it or paint it with bathroom emulsion for the headlining. It will keep it cooler in summer as well and large computer fans will help circulate air whilst using very little energy. 🧙♂️
very nice surprise I wouldn't mind to see your videos more often than only once a week but I know that refitting boat and making videos are quite time consuming tasks :)
@@SailingSeabird true, true - I miss it, kinda happy to be coming back for a few days - going to suck balls not having my car but I'm trying to be less of a lazy schmuck so I'll be walking over to the supermarket :D Also since y'all are there, does Port Napoleon have a trailer lift or only that travel lift? I've been thinking about taking my motor tub down but it can't be strap lifted without bending like a pretzel most likely :/
Oh, I thought you meant they bought a kit boat. Did you know they sell kit boats where you the DIY attach the different hull modules together & outfit the craft and save a ton of $$$$$$$? !
Will there be any 38' or 42' monohull for me around on this marina? Hmmm... any almost-key-ready? I also liked this bonus-episode... maybe more of this? How mutch for a boat staying on the hard at this place? And where is it?
Maybe. And turn-key ready? Hah. No. Most cheap boats for sale down there are definitely projects. Or you have to go through the broker, but then it's $$ :) The place is Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhone, 2 dry ports there. Port Napoleon and Navy Service. Costs vary, depending on length. Call em and ask! :D
If I had this catamaran, I would cut the beams out, rebuild it to be like a Warham catamaran not solid she will haul ass as is but being an Engineer I would have to make it my own. Lol.
Yes sure and then it be worth nothing ,that is highly engineered twin hull unique for it's year and set the standards of its time ,it has cult status ,and you want to cut it up and stick wood on it wtf 😂😂😂
@@SailingSeabird much appreciated. Hopefully you can find some other boats to give us a tour of including derelict sailboats that are in need of some help
It's interesting to see something different, but catamarans do nothing for me. They just deviate so wildly from any form traditionally associated with a boat that it bothers me. Plus I've heard too many horror stories about them breaking in half at sea for me to consider them to be a valid type of boat.
What a lovely couple! Thanks for introducing us to them, Marina and Stu!
They are!
We are so glad you enjoyed the extra video.
Cheers for watching 🙂

This interview was excellent I hope you do more interviews and show us more information about the boat yard. DIY!

Yes and boys head straight to the boating social lubrication.

Wow - Sunday bonus! I'd love extra videos of a bicycle ride or dumpster diving - so we know you're not always sanding, glassing & suffering.

I already follow those guys.. how cool you are neighbors

Your friend Hyaejin does an excellent Spiderman, she is great.
Thanks for showing us that it was really interesting to see another boat, I will be sure to look them up, see you both on Friday. xx
That is such an interesting boat, really different to most of the ones you see on here. Thanks :)

awesome!!!!!
I have a Boat from the same Boatyard it is a EDEL4! Not so big but i like!
Cool, Prouts catermarams were the forefathers of Cats based originally on Canvey Island Essex UK, where i lived for 50+ years 😊
thanks for showing this inside view of this kind of cat , always wanted to know how they look in the inside
Well that is entirely different boat altogether I will subscribe to their channel 😊
Thanks for the video. You should do a review of the craziest boats in your marina
Thanks for the idea!
We'll keep you posted if we do.
Cheers for watching 🙂
The boys drinking beers while the girls are getting are doing the tour 😅 sounds like you are all having fun 👍🏻
It's all about perspective.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Looking forward to watching their progress. I subscribed.
This is a surprise
A little treat 😊
Thanks!
What’s funny is I was already subscribed to both of you, but didn’t know you were so close to each other
Yeah! 😊 5 minutes away on the bike
very nice surprise I wouldn't mind to see your videos more often than only once a week but I know that refitting boat and making videos are quite time consuming tasks :)
We also would love to share more but it’s challenging 😅 We’ll try to introduce some more extra episodes like this 😊
4:36 "right to the beers", ha ha!
Always time for beers 🍻
Cheers for watching 🙂
It's a sacrifice boat , you sacrifice comfort for speed !
So true.
Luckily we aren't in a rush.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Awesome collab! I was already subbed to and following both channels 👍
Some juicy boats in that yard. Why not do a 'what's for sale' episode?
It'd never end - there's always things for sale, if it's not today it'll be tomorrow :D
With me being 6’2 tall I think I prefer seabird to the cat. Just a bit cramped for my liking
Cool interview.
Nice 🎉🎉🎉
You sneaky buggers, you snuck one in when I wasn’t looking lol
Coastal cat, I would replace the below hull mast post/rigging
They are very seaworthy cats. Whilst its on the hard i would put an old tennis ball over the dolphin 🐬 basher .
Nice people
They really are a lovely couple.
Thank you for watching 😊
Woo. Saw the Joa folks already and was wondering if you guys met up yet :D
Of course we met! 😂 You know how small this world is! We have to socialise… it’s all we have around the boatyard hehe

Wow such nice neighbors 👍🖐️🍾❤️
What's their channel name ? I will sub
Sailing Joa 😊 The link is on the description. They are lovely
The link for their page doesn't work. Says it's not available
It has been sorted. It should work 😊👍🏼
@@SailingSeabird much appreciated. Hopefully you can find some other boats to give us a tour of including derelict sailboats that are in need of some help

Should work now. Sorry about that 😅
What nationality are your neighbors?
