Windmill, Barns, Granaries & The White Carpathians - Vrbecko-Kuželovská Stezka Trail I Horňácko, CZ

The goal of our visit was this time the eastern half of the educational trail Vrbecko - Kuželovská stezka. It is located in the Moravian area of Horňácko, opposite to the Slovak region of "kopanice" and these pieces of land are also similar in its character. We started our hike from the village of Hrubá Vrbka with a nicely preserved structure of the original village and continued up to the White Carpathians("Bílé/Biele Karpaty") through meadows and deciduous forests. Probably the biggest attraction of the circuit was the restored Dutch-type windmill about 1 km from the outskirts of Kuželov. It is also possible to see its interior, in addition to pleasant wooden surfaces, the grinding equipment and the visible rotating mechanism of the roof and wings are particularly interesting here. A short walk distance, having crossed a little wood behind the mill, we cut the Vrbecko - Kuželovská stezka trail about halfway through the basin, in which the villages of Malá and Hrubá Vrbka and Kuželov are located, and returned through the meadows and along the arboretum back to the village of Hrubá Vrbka.
Interesting stops along our route:
Hrubá Vrbka - a village with a nice core, where there is also a bell tower and preserved granaries, on the outside it is flanked by barns originally made of stone and unfired bricks, (there is also an Orthodox male monastery with a monument to the martyr Gorazd, an evangelical church, rich folklore and the Vrbecké Museum and also an eco-farm, called Horňácká farma)
