This game always has a soft spot in my heart and I always consider it the best turned-base mech game. The game is fast, and the best thing is every decision in 1 turn will happen at the same time, which is not something I have seen much in a turned-base game. I had already beaten this game long before they updated the boss, and this video convinced me to go back again. I also saw a guy solo on the last mission with a full-fledged melee build. Which is also super cool and very anime.
9:25 "Missiles are likely to miss" I mean, of course! That's why they're called *miss* -iles, not *hit* -iles! For real though, loved the video, and looking forward to watching more.
I would like this game more if every match wasn't an hour long exercise of my brain beyond endurance. Still absolutely love it. Also I've haven't played since shoulder attachments were a thing, what do those bongo drum looking things do?
@@FireMissionBattery that one specifically is a mine layer, I'm more of a middle guy myself but I ran the mines on my sniper for when enemies tried chasing him
See, I did fight the bosses the way you mentioned, with missiles and railguns and behind cover, and worked out fine but slow, for quite some time. But eventually the bosses will drop assault rifles that have seeking bullets, and two of those + two similarly tracking incendiary "shotguns" on mechs with speeds of no less than 25 can dance around it at point blank dodging in and out of the seismic blasts, chop off any turrets they need to on the first turn, outrun tracking and traverse limits of the ones they can't get rid of immediately, and the cherry on top... It also deleted half of their health bar minimum if you focus the core. Would heavily recommend it. Also the aimbot rifles are effective at any range, especially if your enemies are standing still. the game tells you it has "3% effectiveness at the other side of the map" but if the bullets course-correct... It just deletes most things in one volley.
Loved this game for the first few hours. Too bad the campaign turns into a grind, once you have mechs you like you just have to keep farming as the enemy arbitrarily levels up, half the map is totally pointless. Everytime you take an enemy territory all enemy stats go up by a fixed amount so every fight is basically the same.
@@dontyoudare61 yeah it's the first time I've considered a game having too much content a bad thing. Of they had like half the provinces there would be much more incentive to take them all
Yeah around the 10th - 12th province felt like there wasn't really anything new so I've just been finishing the campaign slowly and leisurely and experimenting with some loadouts. Still fun but yeah it feels like they've left the groundwork for an rpgmaker length game but without most of the content of one.

Cool review, but why are you copying Seth. Clearly you are good enough to write good script, just don't be boring and have something to say. Personally I would tackle game mechanics a bit more if there is more to this game than you said.
Wdym? Really just felt like a normal semi - serious review. Only real sseth reference i see is the title. I mainly say this because this video barely has any schizophrenic bits enough to be similar to sseth.
