This seems like FUD. "Get a horse" was a phrase used in the 1910s by people to taunt early motorists. Many people at the time still believed that the horseless carriage was a fad and would eventually fade away. In fact, in 1903, people would sometimes lie on sidewalks and yell "get a horse" at drivers of horseless carriages that were stuck in the mud.
