Correct me if I'm wrong, but this theory makes 0 sense. For example: If every single zombie just blew up randomly and there was no zombies left, The Walking Dead still couldn't be over; if one person dies of age or sickness, they just become a zombie and bite somebody else and it just restarts the cycle. Please correct me if I missed something.

"Q: Tell us about the zombie decomposition that’s happening in Season 3. How are you changing the ways the zombies are portrayed from season to season?
A: Well one thing I always think about and the rest of the crew can attest to is just how grueling the weather is in Georgia. The sun literally will bake you if you stand out in the sun too long. And one day I’m thinking about it and I’m like, “OK, what would happen to these creatures that have no actual ability to protect themselves from the elements?” So you can only imagine how horrible the smell would be, and what we felt it was important to play up is the idea that these things are becoming dried up and disintegrated and leathery.
Q: What new tricks have you come up with for the zombie makeups this year?
A: We’ve been able to do a lot more full-body prosthetics. One thing that I wanted to allow for in Season 3 was, you know, rotted chests and rotted backs. So we sculpted male and female rotted torsos that get glued directly to the performers. And one of the ideas we like playing up was that the walkers, because they are rotting and decomposed, is that they’re sort of putrefying - so if you come in contact with any of them and you slash at them, parts of them might sort of liquefy and come off."

The problem is that while the original zombies have been decomposing, they’ve been adding new zombies to their ranks. Biting people, people just... dying and becoming zombies without being bitten. These newer zombies would be in earlier stages of decomposition, thus filling out the ranks of the zombie horde.

I kinda address that. I mention that most people turned in the two months that Rick is in the hospital. Sure you'll have new zombies over time, but the big zombie rush will be over!

hm..... now that i think about it, the humans are kinda killing each other at a rather accelerated rate, i think even they themselves are more of a threat to each other. So are the people who remain immune to the virus and hence why zombies eat them rather than the bite and leave them alone to turn or would they still turned? If they did turned since they were pretty much eaten, would that also mean the new zombie wave would degenerate faster?

None, this theory count only the first generation of zombie, not EVERY zombie on the show.
You don't turn from getting bitten, you turn from strictly dying. When you get bit you die of infection or bloodloss.
+EradsVFX They addressed this in both the tv series and the comics so let me explain:
If you are even mildly interested in the tv show season 1-3 you know that everyone infected already (most likely through an airborne parasite) and when you die your body is restarted by that parasite with the sole purpose to feed.
Now on to the bites. If you remember back to season 1 they said you get infected by bites or scratches. Maybe this was just common for zombies, but there is a truth behind it.You see, the zombies dont have any special poison or venom that kills you, its the fact that they are rotting corpses, filled with diseases, bacteria and parasites, so when they bite you, all those diseases go straight into the bloodstream. Cutting off a limb stops infection because it stops the disease from spreading to the rest of the body.
And that also explains the scratches. Because theoretically, on the skin of the zombies after decaying or eating dead people, would also be full of disease. The zombies scratching you, provided it breaks the skin layer, would also infect and kill you. The producers most likely cut this out over time as nearly every character has been scratched or pulled by a zombie by now.

Well, the apocalypse but not the zombification. The disease, unless a cure is mass produced, will still be around. Sure, they'll find ways to prevent it from infecting, but it'll still infect.
Most of the human population turned right in the beginning. The survivors are very few compared to the zombie numbers. So the total population decline of Zombies is inevitable even if few new once turn.

This is false. The comic of The Walking Dead is already 2 years ahead with everyone all older. The zombies appear the same as they did in the current timeline of the television show. In the walking dead universe this decaying process doesn't seem to exist.

Season 2's ending is my favourite Season ending for some reason.. It just feels so good because it's the first major horde their base got raided by. Also they split up which opened up different storylines and shaped the seasons after. Probably one of the most important for character development.
Season 2/Farm House is a great season to binge watch but a TERRIBLE week to week season because it is a very slow moving season.

Has anyone else ever thought about whether or not zombie bites are poisonous in the walking dead? I thought about it a while ago, in the game the walking dead season 1 by telltale, when Duck is bitten in episode 3, he becomes more and more weak until he becomes motionless leaning against a tree, at which point he is shot. The same thing happens to Lee, he gets weaker and weaker towards the end. It's very similar to at the beginning of episode 2 when Katja can't save the kid's life, and she thinks he's dead until he comes back as a zombie. I just thought that maybe zombie bites in the walking dead were poisonous as opposed to infectious. If anyone has any evidence disproving or proving this I would like to know please because as far as I know nobody has really mentioned it online.

I think they explained it as just really dirty. The walkers are riddled with contagious disease. Most of the time the people die of a fever not of the bite itself.

Survivors in the walking dead are obviously terrified of getting bitten, not because this will turn them into a zombie, but because a bite will simply kill them. The way a zombie bite kills you isn't exactly poisonous so to speak, but you're definitely not far off because it may as well be!
Human mouths already house a horrid amount of bacteria, usually more so over many, many animals. That's why getting bit by a human is sometimes a lot worse than getting bitten by an animal, because humans have filthy mouths essentially.
Taking this into consideration, when a person becomes a zombie, as stated in this video, decomposition starts within days, that means that the body starts to decompose and rot, and the mouth is no exception. The mouth will continue to house bacteria which will thrive on this new, necrotic, rotting flesh, and that will create a host of new infections and bacteria in the mouth.
Getting bitten by a zombie, transitions all of these horrific infections, parasites, bacteria amongst other things, into the open wound through direct contact and transitioning through bodily fluids.
Because you're getting such a huge dose of all these infections and what not, instantly transmitted into your blood stream via directly into an open bloody wound. These infections don't need time to manifest and find a way to slowly kill you, all of it is already traveling through your bloodstream almost instantaneously, that's why cutting off the limb is mostly the best way to go about controlling these infections and bacteria before they have time to fully travel through your bloodstream, to throughout the rest of your body, because once it's everywhere, it's too late.
So it's not the "zombie" that really kills you, it's the parasites, bacteria and other infections the bite/scratch host. These are the things that kill you, and your body is trying to hard to combat everything at once, you get a fever, and your body shuts down because it cannot cope with fighting this losing battle. That's why Lee and Duck are weak and sick. because the body is dedicating nearly 100% to fighting these infections. Not being able to walk and feeling sick, is a lot better than getting on with your day then suddenly dropping down dead. Atleast that's what your body thinks.
I'm aware i've probably left out a lot of information, and I MAY have even gotten some details wrong, but that is the basic jist of things, and I hope I helped you understand a little bit more :)

In any case, zombies might work like how we thought the Komodo dragons worked. the theory was that the dragon had a bunch of bacteria in it's mouth, so it could poison prey without actual poison. Zombies are constantly decomposing, making them a haven for any kind of bacteria, and the constant eating of raw flesh can only add more types. It is likely that you get some deadly bacteria through a bite. This would however means that a bite won't always be lethal, as you might luck out and have some form for imunity.
I mean, just because the old walkers die, doesn't mean all of them will. It also doesn't take away the fact that you turn when you die.

The majority were made at the very beginning. Even though it won’t be all the zombies dead, it will be the majority.
He actually adressed that. He said that yea, more zombies keep turning people, but the big majority of the zombies were turned the first 2 months and we know this bc when Rick woke up, after 2 months in coma, entire cities were already overrun and it was hard to find living people, so the zombies had limited supply to keep turning.
So, the entire math, is just taking into account this thousands of thousands of people who got turned the first 2 months. He's saying those zombies have little time left. Then boom! the biggest part of the walking dead are going to drop. Yes, a lot of zombies will still go aroud, but it will definitely be fewer.
