Everything Wrong With My Jeep JL WRANGLER After 2 YEARS!!!!

  • After a few years of ownership i have come to notice a few things that just havent withstood the test of time with my Jeep JL wrangler. With any new vehicle it is common to find the wear points and see where things tend to not hold up.The most annoying one was the RADIO and this still happens to this day however there was a week long period where it just completely stopped working and this then resulted in the dealership having to take a look and see where the electrical issue was. then there was an issue with the back glass and the defroster coming undone from the glass itself this is an issue that can A cause the glass to not defrost but also can short out a system if you hit a bump and make a connection when not meaning too. finally there is the parking sensors and more specifically the wiring harness where one of the pins just stopped being seated due to no wrong doing on my behalf causing the entire system to not work.
    As nit picky as these things are i felt it important to make a video on it i hope you all enjoyed this and it helped you make a decision on if you want to buy one of these jeeps or not. And for what its worth i LOVE this jeep.
    Thank You For Watching!!

    I’m glad that you have such a good attitude about what is going on with your Jeep. You do seem frustrated about the things that are wrong, and for good reason. Thanks for posting the content bro. I’ve been considering whether I should get a Jeep myself, but I think I’ll wait to see what the new bronco looks like first.

I applied anti-seize/anti-corrosion paste to all the hinge bushings, and I will spray rust proofing oil spray onto the hinges to seep into the cracks. Hopefully this works to prevent corrosion going forward. FCA really needs to figure out a resolution to this when manufacturing. Thanks for vid or heads up:) I just bought a pre owned 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport 3.6L with 60 000kms. Everthing looks mint and stock however after 2 weeks of owning it, I noticed sometimes on cold starts, the transmision doesn't go into reverse after I shift. Last time I heard a loud clunk after lightly touching the gas, scared the sh** out of me. Is this a common issues? btw, as good practice, I always engage the e--brake before parking to eleminate any tension on the gears, not making a difference.
    Should I be worriend? Is this a common problem the Jeep JL owners? What should I do? Thanks.

    • @TaskForceOffroad
      @TaskForceOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      First question is do you have manual or automatic sounds like an auto and could be a torque converter issue. If it’s a manual trans my guess would be something to do with your shifter linkage or potentially something wrong with the gear itself. If you’re using a manual i personally don’t see a need for not having tension on the gears as they are traditionally the brake for a manual vehicle using the compression of the engine to stop the vehicle from rolling

    • @WilliamVG
      @WilliamVG ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TaskForceOffroad Mine is a Auto trans and this problem is only intermittent. Should I drop the pan is go with a new filter for peace of mind? I hear transmission oil should be replaced after 60 000kms?

    • @TaskForceOffroad
      @TaskForceOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WilliamVG can’t hurt to do a good fluid flush and that sounds about right for “normal maintenance schedule” all depends on driving though if i had to guess it’s the torque converter getting alittle stuck untill it builds up enough pressure to get the jeep moving a good flush and filter definitely wouldn’t hurt and you can do an assessment of what the oil looks like at the same time

    Jeep is famous for poor quality control. They get away with it because Jeeps have a cult like following and their customers tolerate this by paying top dollar for a poorly manufactured product. I’m on my third Jeep. I love my Jeep JK but it’s quality is no where near the quality in my wife’s Mazda CX-5.
    Japanese and Asian cars are simply the best engineered cars on the planet. Change the oil and they’ll run forever with very few mechanical issues. Nissan is an exception. They can’t seem to figure out how to build a maintenance free transmission. The Nissan Maxima’s transmission issues are well known.
    Ford’s Bronco is having serious engine issues, which doesn’t surprise me. Ford isn’t exactly know for great quality control either. Don’t know why Toyota hasn’t brought back the FJ Cruiser. There is still a lot of demand for that vehicle.

Right now...rear main seal leak,rear axle leak both sides,coolant leak from hose, last week wipers came in and literally every light in the cluster came on ,stuck in Park, limp mode, do i replaced the green canbus block behind glove box, hopefully it fixed it🤞🤞🤞 ,had about 35 codes come up. Now CEL is back on for the same yearly summertime evap leak. Oh ,and yes the rear defrost fell off in about 8 months after purchase. Now also possibly the oil cooler is leaking,almost forgot that one.

    Me and my wife just recently took our 2019 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport in because we was having issues with it not having four-wheel drive traction control e-brake and coming to find out. They also told us that our Jeep was not under warranty. After the simple fact, we just recently bought the Jeep back in April of 2022. Then the issue was they had to rewire the whole entire harness system and there were two bad rear wheel sensors to where I looked at them and said you guys had told us back in April that this g pad pass inspection and now all these problems come up. You guys are going to fix this in which we only have to end up paying $100 service fee for everything in which they was going to try and charge us over $1,000 for everything to get fixed.
