You know honestly, one of the things I love about watching my favorite artists on TH-cam is how open they are that they were NOT Mozart when they were younger. They were not some perfect prodigies that could draw right out of the womb. You and Lisa Clough are the two I watch the most, and when you both show your early artwork, it is age-appropriate. The thing that makes a successful artist of any kind is simply not giving up and doing it for decades. That's incredibly motivating.
I love seeing how far you can go from the first few flipbooks you've drawn to the remakes over 30 years later! It's really inspiring, and it makes me want to see how far I can go when creating and re-creating flipbooks!

1:15 the fact you tried your best was the best thing. You simply didn’t understand the physical movement and the anatomy behind it, as you sort of pointed out and so it ended up as the flip book we see today, it wasn’t a matter of drawing badly just a matter of not knowing what to start with

How did I almost forget THAT HOLE PAPER!!! What a mess lol. I used to make chains out of the holey scraps. Was there an actual reason for the holes? Option to put in a notebook? Or maybe paper alignment in printer? I’m not sure if I ever really knew the purpose, it’s been so long! This was an unexpected but wholesome dose of nostalgia for me, thanks!!
hi Andy I don't want to tell much about myself on the internet but I've been inspired by you after a year I ran out of paper but from the fun I had with the amount I did have thank you Andy you inspired my creativity inside from when I was little to burst out and am into flip books even more then I was before ever since I was little I liked art and flip books where the type of art that i found myself loving seeing the little drawings come to life I really love animating on paper but am going to have to animate on a screen for a while due to us not having the funds to buy paper or the new starter set I started off with a basic light pad with no hooks for the paper I know your not reading this and nobody cares but thank you very much for the fun times I had with your products :) I will always love you video's EDIT 1 my friends say I type fast I don't know how I just wrote a whole paragraph in minutes peace out

what kind of pen do you use? whenever i made flip books or any sort of outlining, when i erase my pencil lines the pen ink always smudges.
