I’ve seen people say they skipped his parts. Of course, they’re going to say Deepak crushed him bc they only care to listen to one sided conversations. Objectively, Tharoor explained his points quite clearly. It’s just an intellectual discussion but some would like to turn it into a debate where one has to win over the other. That’s the problem with most people - they choose not to have an open dialogue about anything and would instead choose to just take a side that fits their preexisting beliefs. The sad state of the the comment section proves just that.
Shashi did the same quite a few times but perhaps you didn't notice it because you nodded your head in agreement whenever he did that.
It's a great debate. It's good to hear both sides of the philosophy. We may disagree at times but there's always a common ground we must find to accommodate one another and respect the feelings and thoughts of everyone as long as they are within the confines of an established legal system, which also evolves with the times. 😊
