THANK YOU, BROMPTON! My wife's CHPT3 V4 came completely out of whack from the dealer (would not shift into 1st or 4th, noisy in any gear), so I decided to try a factory reset.
WOW, this was dicey! To start, I don't have a bike mechanic stand, so I flipped the bike over. Then at the point of retightening the wire clamp bolt, this video says to shift to 4th gear, but my shifter wouldn't go above 2nd, and the derailleur was in 3rd. With no directions for this scenario, I tightened the wire clamp bolt anyway, then kept adding back tension turning the barrel adjuster counterclockwise, and the chain slowly moved from 3rd to 2nd, then 1st. And when 1st worked flawlessly, then 2nd and 3rd worked flawlessly. 4th also worked but was noisy b/c the derailleur was a bit out past the 4th gear, so I adjusted LS2 again a bit, but now it's working just as well as my CHPT3.

I'm no expert at all with respect to bicycle mx, BUT the 4 speed on my T Line shifts unbelievably smoothly and accurately, thank you Brompton!

Shifter position indicator inside a housing, behind a window, is useless in the dark.

True, but it’s also pointless. I have an MTB with two gear indicator windows but I don’t think I have ever used them to know what gear I’m in. I don’t suppose that Mark Cavendish feels the need for a window indicator when he’s planning his sprint for the finish line.

Google translate, or whatever was used to translate/localize the caption and video title, does not handle bike gears very well. The Dutch version mentions (the Dutch equivalent of) "gearbox".🤔 A bit confusing, at the very least, particularly for derailleur type bike gears - the least 'boxed' gear type around ...
