Like almost any aftermarket parts, you’ll need to do some fitting. A washer on the driver side hinge and bring the fender in a little and the driver side is square.
Great talking points! You need to get an ETS FMIC kit to fit the Marsh Composites hood 100%. If you choose to go rotated down the road, it's simple as changing the hot side piping for the big spooly boy. The cold side can stay the same. 🍻🍻🍻
First thought every time you see these hoods is that they don't match or really go with the Aesthetics of the car. Maybe it would look better with black paint I know it was the rally cars traditional color but I'm not a fan of this pearl blue.
Damn you explain every detail about the hood better than the makers themselves lol. I'm debating if I should get it or not as well because I might go FMI too. Thanks for all the info bro! 😁
I got me the vis racing hood for my c5 corvette oem style it wasn't complete the underside of hood had nothing fused and I couldn't attach my hinges to my car the latch was at the nose but if you know corvette they operate window there where holes for windshield fluid not on a corvette there attach at wipers it was soo bad .. waste of time and money.
No wonder your having Fitment issues it’s miss aligned.with the hood popped your passenger sits lower than your driver that’s before the stops add washers
I'll save you the time. No. VIS and Seibon are both fiber glass rip offs posing as carbon fiber. If you want a real carbon fiber hood send me a message and I can send you to a guy that literally makes full carbon fiber hoods or any body panel you would ever want.
@@CarsWithJR Yeah I saw that during the video. Glad you included that. Love your channel I just hate these companies ripping off people with fake carbon products. The guy I know isn't the same company you mentioned. He makes molds off of the existing body panels and can do color'd full carbon.
@@snailboah yeah i think so, dude has done some crazy stuff, its not cheap though. I think he quoted me 5k for a hood and like 3500 for a trunk (blue carbon fiber with a specific weave pattern direction) but he has videos of him taking sledge hammers at the hoods he has built and trashed and it just takes it. He doesn't have a business website but his name is Jay Bradley, I can't send you his facebook page if you need to get in contact with him.
Thanks for the video n details...to be honest looks shit especially the fitments I mean u paying good money for something that supposedly fit n doesn't sits right that just shit job by the company... so I'll be getting something else... thanks for the video again

I agree with everything on this video about the hood. I had to loosen the driver side fender to slightly close that gap.
Good option for block off plate?
@@zero7hree487 for this hood, there isn’t one you can buy. For the OEM hood, verus sells one.
@@CarsWithJR I figured, I was looking at it trying to figure out how I can fabricate one.
Good fitting carbon hoods are expensive. I had a chargespeed hood and it fit like oem. Crazy expensive though

Thanks bro! So exited for you with the new hood!
@@CarsWithJR Thanks! And to you for your new power bump!
So which hood would you go instead of this going carbon fiber hood soon it would help me.

You can play with the fenders and lights untill it fits righty not sure if you knew.
Thanks for the transparency man. I was very close to ordering one of these myself. Back to the drawing board.
📝
I am looking at ordering one right now!Cannot wait!!!!!
Marsh composites huh. Sounds good 👍. Great video. Stay safe brother.
Thanks you sir!
I was considering getting a carbonfiber hood after my OEM aluminum hood was recently dented but I think I will stick with OEM.
I just got my hood dented and debating on what to do. What route did you end of taking?
Dear @Cars with JR, what happens if you drive in the rain without rain guards ??? and how bout winter does the engine heat up with so much vents ?
I've got an 18 Impreza, what kind of Headlight models are compatible with it?
A nice looking hood JR. 👌 Subies forever.

Do you have a short throw shifter if yes which one?
Definitely should let a good body man touch it definitely could get that to fit way better
What’s that Perrin hood latch thing for? Spacer or
I’m not too sure on the marsh composites one lol 🥴
The varis one is 🔥 and expensive
first !
That good looks so good, I want to get one as well.
Where do you the hood scoop mesh?
Man, for the price it's not worth it. Thank you for being honest
No wonder your having Fitment issues it’s miss aligned.with the hood popped your passenger sits lower than your driver that’s before the stops add washers
There are washers installed.
There’s also micro adjustments your can do to the door and fender it’s very tedious to do though
Does the verus hood scoop plate fit this hood hood?
Wheels setup?
where can i get the mesh from ?
Hot boy points 🤣🤣
Charge speed > *
Was that @different_not_less_wrx car
