@SubhamChitrakar It's good that you have realised that Buddhist teachings are compatible with Islam. Both philosophies help us to live a good life. They don't compete with each other in any way. I am an atheist. Buddhist teachings have helped me to become a more contented and therefore happy person. I hope they do as much for you. Best wishes
I am from Nepal and I am hindu but I been watching this man from past few days ,he literally changing my life , thanks man! Peace, love everyone,at the end of day we all are human beings,no religion is greater than truth, kind, and love

It's not proper to address a Buddhist monk by 'man'. Not only Buddhist monk but also the clergy of all the religions should be addressed by their status of clergy.
You are my most favorite and beloved monk on social media. I listen to your wisdom every single day. Your smile is infectious and gives me a sense of peace. I don't even know your name. Please tell me your name so I can keep you in my loving kindness meditations. Your content on TH-cam is so important to so many of us. Keep spreading Supreme Buddha's teachings...it has helped me in deep ways that I could never express.
Today I downloaded the Dhammapada. Though I am a Buddhist by birth now only I realized the valuable teachings behind these verses. Thank you very much for your guidance. Theruwan saranai
Thank you for your recommendation. I bought and read the Dhammapada several years ago but have not picked it up for a while. You have reminded me how beautiful AND helpful these verses are. I WILL go back to using them as an integral part of my daily practice.
What a great book in which all Buddha’s teachings are! Every morning, I open randomly to read whichever verse and learn as Buddha’s message to me on that day 😊. Namo Buddhaya! ❤❤❤
Im currently reading it for the first time and I completely resonate. It gives me all the advice and answers I need too. And it’s the book that’s completely accurate to my hearts values
May the whole Sangha of the Buddha and all Buddhists be blessed, healthy, well, well provided for and happy and in bliss and all attain Nirvana and Buddhahood, I pray, Om mani padme hum.
Impressive, meanwhile 2024 brought my household a miracle of $30,000 every month, God has been more faithful to us Now I can afford anything and also support my businesses and worry less about the expenses of this year
I have a Spanish edition of Dhammapada but I don't read it every day, so right now I promise myself to read some verses daily and meditate on them. Namo Buddhaya 🙏❤
I have my handy penguin black cover classics version of the Dhammapada. It might be quite thin and dainty as books go, but it’s full of wisdom and great guidance.
Thank you for the online links and both translations. There is indeed a big difference in reading them. I love to see the contrast, it helps with understanding 🙏
Love the Dhammapada ❤ Also love The Bhagavad Gita and Tao Te Ching 😊 I read Huston Smiths Religions of Man at 19, started a lifelong journey into the many beautiful ways cultures celebrate God. I went to Powwow as a kid and later Quest and Sweat Lodge from my own culture. Then I went to Thich Nhat Hanhs Plum village in my 20s, visited Catholic cathedrals, and drove the El Camino Real down the 101 to visit the Spanish missions. Sound baths and gong ceremonies in Poland, temples in Bali, Pyramids in Egypt. I enjoy yoga, and now I sit Vipassana regularly. It’s the inner journey when we face ourselves that brings us lasting peace. 🧘🏼♀️ May all beings be happy.
I have a 1994 edition of a English-Japanese copy of "The Teaching of Buddha" by Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai. It was my doorway as a young teenager in America. I found Zen to be the best practice for me, but it is amoral and always leads back around to Sunyata, which capitalism tells us "void = bad". In my 30's I discovered the Upanishads, which led to the Bhagavad Gita. Now, I find that practicing Krishnaconsciousness is a form a personal meditation that leaves room for spirituality, and that loving God as myself leads to loving others as myself, as well. We are all self, we are all One. "Sub ek." Spirituality isn't totally essential, but it really boosts compassion when you practice it.
I’ve had the Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai for thirty years at least. Threadbare now but invaluable. In some hotels in Asia you will find one in the bedside table - similar to the Gideon’s Bible. 🙏
@@TheRealFamespear I can see it used similar to Biblical canon. I first picked it up at a Vietnamese Buddhist temple in Biloxi, Mississippi some 20 years ago. I carried it around with just a chindi rug for meditation until society reminded me that only monks are allowed to completely exit, and that the Middle Way was opposite to the direction I was facing. (In other words, poop or get off the pot, lol. Something the Bhagavad Gita helped me to reconcile with that the Buddhist canon prevaricated around.)
But, at this stage, relating "Dhammapada" to "Dharmayoga" is a good conceptual bridge between the two worlds that I hadn't the wisdom to perceive at the time.
@@TeddehSpaghetti seems like you misunderstood the core concept of the "middle way" to me...try reading the abidhamma or a compendium thereof,it offers much more clarity on the basic concepts
"loving myself as others" is just plain empathy, you arrive at it with the insights of the non-self aswell, but without the grandiose delusions of deities...loving kindness is a very necessary pillar that should be cultivated through metta meditation, but it is only one of several pillars necessary for attaining nibbana
Thank you sir, I am Buddhist too I will try to read this book because your recommend it, as you mentioned there are many many books in Buddhism which are great, from many I would say “the word of my perfect teacher” is one and Bodhicaryāvatāra, the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life by Santideva, an Indianmaster.
Thank you monk for this most awaited video!!🙏Please if possible hold sessions to explain the facts in Dhammapada in detail, I think it would be beneficial for many individuals seeking the true essence of Buddhism🙏
You explains complex miseries in very simple and insightful way .....Thank you so much venerable monk we are go grateful to have you and can learn lord buddha's teachings from you ........ I have a request to you that could you please tell about how you were like in age of 17-18 like us what was your perspective about like at that tine how u used to see the world and life .............
Dear Monk Thank You so much.I really appreciate Your life and wisdom and how You are changing our life .Now I finish reading Chapter 1 "Pairs". Thanks ❤
You don't have to mention which religion you belong to.. Buddhism always teaches us to become a better Hindu.. Better Muslim.. Better Christian or any religion you are from.. You can follow the teachings of Buddha & become a better person.... I have written 5 quotes of buddha every alternate days & tried to read on alternate days... In just 5 months it's already a diary full of my writings & his quotes... When i feel low i read it & it helped me a lot to become a better & kinder person.. More forgiving person. I am calmer & i got clarity in certain things. Thank you so much.. Your channel also helped me to be a better person.. Still in the processs. Namo Buddhaya 🙏
I'm a 15 year old Muslim boy from India. I love buddha and I want to learn life lessons from him..

"The most difficult war is to conquer yourself." = TRUE
Indeed. Resentment, restraint from extreme greed and desires, as well as learning the right wisdom and knowledge. Taming yourself is indeed difficult.

This is what Melissa Jonas Richard does, she has changed my life.
After raising up to 30k trading with her, I bought a new house and car here in the US and also paid for my son’s (Oscar) surgery. Glory to God.shalom.
I know Melissa Jonas Richard, and I have also had success
Absolutely I have heard stories of people who started with little or no knowledge but managed to emerge victorious thanks to Melissa Jonas Richard.
