The fact that jason was the one who opened Pop's door to let Betty in and see her friends and the audience could see all those characters for one last time is actually quite significant. Because Jason was one of the 2 characters that appeared in the first scene of first episode of riverdale along with cheryl. Jason and the mistery surrounding his death was one of the reasons all those characters came together and their respective stories intertwined in the beginning of the series. Now he introduces us to all those characters for one last time.
Thats really a cool take
I think seeing Jason first also symbolises that Jason died first and it was like going in the order.
But Jason never existed in the 1950s timeline so why is he here?
Because Angel Tabitha gave them back their memories from the original timeline so they did know about him.
@@martdarts8916Because it’s not the timeline G, it’s Betty’s final memory
What makes me sad is that this was the last broadcast teen drama out there. First Teen Wolf, then Pretty Little Liars and now Riverdale. No matter how you feel about the show, it's truly the end of an era.
It really is, and regarless of how I feel about this show, It really feels final.
😭
Yeah it really is and as much as it feels sad and like we lost something I am also curious to see what The new era holds for us. GOODBYE RIVERDALE.👋😊🥲.

Things can't come back, and if they do. It wont be the same.
No truer words have ever been spoken since the start of the year like theirs nothing left. Hell the CW is on its last beaths
I really liked this final scene. However, I got teary eyed when Betty finally passed away in front of her granddaughter and her husband after she finally returned to Riverdale one last time. But I did like that their Heaven was their life as teens reuniting at Pops and that will get to go on for all eternity. And I am glad that all the characters got their happy ending before they departed this World.
it's very sweet but not the crisis i needed right now entering junior year 😭
please give me reassurance that my OCD is wrong and this isn't some sign from the universe
LOL it just reminded me that I had a dream about that a dinner in the clouds in Heaven & getting some delicious food . 😀
At least Betty gets to live through the rewritten version of 2023. I mean for starters, To do the math, Betty was 17 years old in 1955. 1955 + 86 = 2041. Then 2041 - 17 = 2024. So Betty did live through the 2023 time period where there were no comet. In the OG timeline of 2023, the comet came. Due to no time jumps, this proves that these characters were expected to be senior citizens in 2023. Betty on the other hand just made it past 2023 and ended up living long enough to be in the futuristic timeline of 2024. So that meant Betty was 86 years old in 2024. If they time jump to 2023, then they are young. If they go to the present day era the long way, then they are guaranteed to be senior citizens. Many characters did not even live long enough to be in the rewritten version of the present day. So that proves Betty died at age 86 1 year in the future from 2023.
I didn't watch the 7th season, it seemed too weird to me, but considering I spent past 6 years watching Riverdale, I decided to watch the last episode. And it broke me. I cried the whole episode, tit was a beautiful farewell for all the fans. I don't know if anyone noticed the resemblance to the last scene from Titanic - when Rose dies, she walks into the ballroom full of the dancing passengers, and finaly joins Jack waiting for her. I think Riverdale writers were inspired by Titanic. Even if the show was weird and messy many times, I think it's the end of an era. Goodbye, Riverdale!
@@michap5214 That's exactly what I thought it resembled titanic
I know people hate this show, but it's been such a joy to witness the journey of the characters and the cast, as well.
I remember watching the very first episode, the same day it aired with my best friend. 6 years later, we're still friends and I'm grateful for all of the funny moments, the crying and the cringe, the horrible musicals, and all of the memories.
Goodbye, Riverdale 🩷

In real life, people graduate, move on, and you never hear from them again. It's rare that a group of friends keep in touch for the next 5 years after graduating, let alone for decades. A life that is destined for an individual is not meant for another. Everything is finite.
Sad but true. At least in this day and age you can keep in contact way easier. But still the inevitable happens you get busy and drift away until you become total strangers
I still talk to my friend from Kinder, Middle School, high school.and college. A friend for each transition in my life.
I still keep in touch with old friends from my elementary school years through college. Some of us keep in touch through Facebook.
I have a group of friends I've know for 30 years. But we still make time to see each other. We all live in different states, too.

Riverdale is one of those shows where I don’t really know why I watched it from start to finish, other than the fact it’s just comforting to watch the journey of young characters through their highs and lows of life. No matter how ridiculous it gets. I’ll miss these characters.
Thank you, and goodbye Riverdale.
Exactly my words ✨
The epic highs and lows of high school football
Yep. Riverdale’s prime was season 1-3
Man they were speaking some real deep stuff about life and how you only get to be young once. You only get to have that time, this one time to be with your friends and family all together and then time goes on and life goes on then you're old, God spare life, if you're blessed enough to live to be old. That's what made me sad. They said something like "you meet someone, walk along side them for a while then you have to say goodbye. That's the arc of life." So true yet so sad. Please be grateful for the time you have here on Earth and most importantly, be grateful for your lives and the people in it.
Honestly, I was shocked and surprised by how the endings for the core 4 and Cheryl went. I'm happy Choni got a happy ending and ended up together. But the nods and 4th wall breaking of the episode and callbacks was amazing! Riverdale may not be the best show ever written, but it was memorable in it's own way for being a wacky crazy show that didn't follow normal teen drama norms. I am satisfied with this ending!
7 Seasons, 7 Years. Will always be an OG favourite. Like all Good things they come to an end… Well done actors/actresses, crew behind the scenes & everyone in creating “Riverdale” !
This ending made me think of Titanic's ending. Tabitha said it was her favorite movie so I don't think that was a coincidence. Well done.

@@vreauqthat doesn’t mean it was bad, so many shows r chaotic and r loved by the community, I’m just not seeing what was wrong with riverdale.
@@catherinedeeznuts The problem is that Season 1 was perfect as far as teen dramas go, but then they ruined it with increasingly more ridiculous plotlines, twists and villians to the point you couldn't take it seriously anymore. I gave up on Riverdale after Season 3 and I'm glad, because the show descended into supernatural madness afterwards to the point that in the final season the creators themselves decided to literally erase everything that happened in seasons prior.
@@catherinedeeznuts actually, this time it does mean it was bad, with each season this show was getting more horrible and made no sense
I never did finish this show but seeing this be the finale scene I definitely have to rewatch it just it’s crazy what happens in this show it starts out as a murder detective show then it somehow gets magic in it with Sabrina teenage witch being involved
I think RAS said it’s how he always intended it to be, to lean more into the comics. He just didn’t want to do it straight away because he wanted to hook people in. I get that, but I think that also contributed to its downfall. Magic and supernatural should’ve been hinted at throughout the first season to plant the seeds. But I understand his argument that it wouldn’t have survived as a teen detective murder mystery. There is so much already out there on that, and after two or three seasons it gets boring. The only show to really do it successfully was Veronica Mars, and that show still remains different and unmatched by anything else.
So the Riverdale Gang back in 50’s, Hearing a good fashion 50’s song, Is so beautiful to watch, A perfect send off to everybody in the cast and, Jughead’s. last words to say, A perfect goodbye.
Riverdale was a special kind of show. Despite wanting to stop a few times here and there I made it to the end and I’m glad I did. This ending is a lot more satisfying then a lot of other finales that leave a lot open ended. Not riverdale. No loose ends no questions left. A great ending. Goodbye riverdale it’s been a hell of a ride.
Thinking about my Grandma and how she’s getting close to the end of her life it makes me think of the ending to Riverdale. I hope wherever she goes in her next life it’s something similar to this and she gets to see her husband and all her friends again. I hope they don’t get stuck in that hereafter though. I truly hope life just resets and recycles and we get to to be with all our same friends and family in the next life but just with different names in different towns in different states or perhaps another country. I truly hope death doesn’t actually mean “THE REAL END”
What an amazing journey and imo the perfect ending to Riverdale!! I hated the idea of them never leaving the 50’s at first, but in the end it clearly worked out for the best. Very grateful the cast members stuck it out through the many highs and lows. They always took the material given and DELIVERED. Great job by all involved.
Did they just pulled a mf TITANIC ?!?

The closure given was so perfectly written and i love they specifically picked betty as the last one to walk it before goin to the other side; because of her relation to all the other characters workin out as a way to bring everythin together one last time.
