Love watching these guys. Their gardens are stunning. Love hearing their tips and get a chuckle when they stumble on the name of a plant here and there. Looking forward to seeing more of them and their beautiful gardens.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I love watching your videos. You explain what you're doing so well & your love for gardening shines through. You've given me a lot of inspiration & confidence to try new things & trying new plants. Thanks so much for sharing your time & talents with all of us.
My wife and I are clearing an area at the border of our property. We are building the low end up about four feet. So We’ve been monitoring the amount of sun per day in that area and notice that it come a go from full sun for a few hours to partial shade then back again. We are planning no planting Endless Summer Hydrangeas, Hostas, Coral Bells, Alliums and various Spring bulbs. Do you think these plants will do well with not having 6 hours of direct sunlight?
@@growformegardening thank you. you guys ROCK I have never seen a piece of paradise that was laid out so beautifully. and y'all have so much sun light. we get so many ideas from watching your videos. keep up the good work.

Eric, “I’m talking to the people.” 😂😂😂 One downside of compost, if you have dogs who walk in your garden it creates an absolute mess. I did compost then ended up having to add mulch because the dogs’ paws were so muddy.
Thanks for bringing us along! I know it had to be done, but seeing the catnip go was traumatic 😅😅😅😅, if you start having problems with snails, you can purchase beneficial snails at your garden center, at least you can it south texas. They eat the destructive type! Also, spanish lavender can take higher humidity, but they need a fast draining , porous soil and prefer to be planted on a mound. Luv you guys ❤❤❤❤❤😊
Awesome video. I can’t say enough about how beautiful your gardens are and I hope you’ll show us an up date video on how everything you cut back recovers. Big fan🙌😊
I really enjoy garden chores, maintenance, and clean up videos! New gardener here so it helps me figure out what I need to do to have a garden like yours!!
Thank you so much for this video! I stumbled upon it while looking up blue perennials. I truly appreciate being able to hear your thoughts and experiences with the different plants. I find it difficult sometimes to envision some plants in the spaces I am looking to put them so it’s also really nice to see them mature. It’s also nice to see possible companion plants. You have breathtaking gardens. ❤️🙏❤️
I never dreamed that such a garden could have such a variety in upper NY. What would be awesome is to see one of those garden planning diagrams showing your favorite plant combinations. For those of us who are desperately trying to take notes about plant names and what I like growing next to what that would give us a start for what to buy for our own garden.
Very motivating to see you do all the garden chores! With the heatwave starting today I got out of bed early right after watching your video and went out and conquered some of mine. I don't think any of us can go out again for 4 or 5 days unless it's the crack of dawn! Stay cool and hydrated guys!
Nice throwing the plant in the hole technique, Christopher! 🤣 PW Blue my mind Evolvulus is fabulous in planters, but it is also an excellent interplanting/colour contrasting landscape plant as well. I plant it tucked under my Huechera's(I like it under the lime leafed best) , coleus, dwarf inkberry, and under my summer lavender phlox.
Your garden is beautiful! I'm a big fan of blue flowers in the garden. Planted the Caryopteris Beyond Midnight last summer and I must say, if you don't have it, you need to plant some. It is absolutely stunning!!! Even in our already 95 plus degree heat hear in central Oklahoma, this plant has performed beyond belief.
Watching you clear all the Walkers Low today really showed off the roses! I’m curious as to what your rose care regiment looks like - how often you fertilize, preventative insect care, etc. My zone is also 5b/6a but Chicago suburbs and I am dealing with major sawfly issues that seem to really hard to get rid of! Thanks so much for your videos!
Have you tried Phenomenal lavender? It does well in our moist PacNW garden and Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) grows it successfully in her garden in The Hamptons after not having luck with other varieties.

I've read castor oil sprays is a good starting point.
I have two lavender plants in my front yard South facing border, so they get lots of full sun, dry soil, (zone 7a, southern Connecticut), and I'm going to add more to make a hedge across the front. Thanks for the gardening inspiration.
