    I've tried so many silk/satin pillow cases, I just cannot handle the texture against my skin, so i just pull my hair up into a loose bun

    I swear by Curlsmith! It is the only line of products my scalp & hair don't freak out on. Just ordered a jumbo size of the protein line conditioner again.😍 I didn't realize they had a purple towel. Next time I order I need one! I love their vegan scrunchies too!

    Wow your hair looks amazing! It's a good reminder to me that it's been a while since I've used my Bond Curl and I do dye my gray hair. Does clarifying after using Bond Curl undo what it does with bond building? Should I separate those into different wash days? Hope your nose is feeling okay. 😘

      @Aivlyss ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what I understand, clarifying doesn't undo the bond builder benefits.

      Whenever I color my hair I have a big hair routine I dedicate to until my hair feels more normal.
      I will use the bond rehab salve, clarify, and then deep condition. Ive never heard a curly video mention that they do that exactly, I just thought it'd be the fastest way to neutralize everything 🤷 I'll do that about once a week, whenever it feels my hair has a lot of buildup or dry, since you don't want to wash your hair a ton after coloring. Give it a try 💝

    My hair is weird. I'm 50 with natural silvery grey hair that I can still grow to my butt...but after a couple days of no washing, it still gets frizzy. But I don't mind. I love big hair and frizz helps my fine hair to appear big..lol...I have used products that eliminate 99% of the frizz, but I dislike how my hair feels and not a huge fan of how it looks. But that's just me.....lol...love your channel!!

    The Curlsmith towel looks pretty awesome. What are your thoughts on scrunching with a t-shirt instead of any towel?

    • @SwavyCurlyCourtney
      @SwavyCurlyCourtney  ปีที่แล้ว

      I started out with a tshirt! My earlier video's show this! There I did more of plopping vs scrunching.

    What are your recommendations on a good hairspray for curly hair?

  • @Aivlyss
    @Aivlyss ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you happen to know how the bondbuilder gets through oils, if not clarifying first? I use hair-oils as a pre-treatment and feel that the bond builder isn't getting through that.

    Scrunchies vs regular hair ties BIG game changer. Those regular black hair ties just knot up my hair 😭 I've been using scrunchies for years now, it's 1000xs easier to put it in a bun for bed, on that satin pillowcase 😉 and if it's one of those circular buns for work, it really encourages curls throughout the day!

    I wash my hair every 3/4 days and it's pretty oily by then so I need a good cleansing shampoo. Is the strength one by curlsmith a really good cleansing shampoo? I've tried a couple sulfate free shampoos and so far my scalp hasn't liked them. LUS gave me itchy scalp and bumps for some reason. So I went back to suave lol. Would like to try curlsmith but idk if my scalp will like it.

    • @SwavyCurlyCourtney
      @SwavyCurlyCourtney  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I personally feel like the strength shampoo is one of the more cleansing shampoos from curlsmith. So that would be the one I would recommend to you if you are on the oily side. And they offer travel sizes so you can try out the product, without committing to the full size. 🤗

    I'm really struggling with mushy curls at the moment so i was interested to check out the balance line you mentioned. However, all the products say that they are protein enriched, and I'm pretty sure my hair has somehow become over proteined. Would you still recommend them? I completely trust your recommendations. Thanks so much!

    • @mistiebennett7028
      @mistiebennett7028 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      mushy curls are usually because you have moisture overload and need protein

      Mushy hair usually means too much moisture. Too much protein feels crispy.

    Hi courtney thanks for all your videos! echoing 2 questions from other followers: 1. can the bond treatment "get through oil and product accumlation" if we use for pre pooing or should we shampoo it first? 2. does using clarifying shampoo after the bond treatment "washes it away"? (most of us save the special hair care routine for the weekend when we have time hahaha) thanks!
