    Thank you very much for honest video about the Medeli AKX10. Unlike others I am very happy with mine. As you said, it is a great instrument to learn on without having to invest so much money. If I continue to enjoy playing an arranger keyboard perhaps I will upgrade in the future but for now I am having lots of fun with the Medeli. I look forward to future videos that may contain suggestions for improving the sounds. Thanks again.

    It's perfect for me, at home, having fun, making my own styles and jamming. I think it can go a long way for me but it's good to talk openly like this so that people can understand what they are getting and if it's the right keyboard for them. 👍

    I have the cheaper version of it, the Thomann AK X1100, which is similar to the Medeli and I`m very happy with it and often use it to create my songs, as you can see in my channel. I`m a hobby keyboard player and I know, this keyboard is not for making professional live performances. But as you said, this is the best arranger keyboard for that price, that`s why I bought it.

    I think you are talking rubbish. It's a great little keyboard. I was a professional musician for fifty years and could make it sing using the edit function and multiple sound effects. Maybe your technically ignorant. I also own a Korg PA 4X and several other keyboards.

    I greet you with respect! I know you have some experience in our area of the Balkans! But, what you didn't specify in the video, on this AKX10 you can put samplers that sound better than on many professional models! Really, the sounds from Rom are pathetic, but for a professional, a 700 euro keyboard can give the class of many professional arrangers ! For someone who only uses *start/stop* and expects it to ring, it won't ring, except like an old PSR model...! For a professional, who knows how to work with samplers, this cheap keyboard is a gem...and believe me,,, when converting, it reads the Roland rhythms very well, and on the sampler side, it works very well! With many greetings! Dan from Romania!

      Everyone has their own standard taste for sound. It's nice to hear that you like this instrument. Thank you for your comment, but please do not mention the manufacturers of the sets, because I will not allow such comments anymore. Instead, you can just say that there are sets, but without advertising the people who make them. That's why I will delete this comment in a few days.

    Thank you for making this video and finally a review that's truthful about this awful instrument. I actually bought this in the past on the premise that so many people were saying how good it was and how it was an SX900 clone (which I own, actually I own 21 arranger keyboards in total including the Event!). But anyway, when I received the Medeli I played it for about 3 or so hours and then put it back in the box to send it back the next day. It does not even compare to any of the established brands lower end keyboards at all that are in the same or similar price bracket, not even close, let alone idiotically comparing it to the Event. The Yamaha SX600 and Korg Pa600 (or Pa300) that are still available blows it away in every sense and I would recommend any beginner to look at one of those if wanting to learn about arranger keyboards. Or even look to get a used SX700 which absolutely kills it in comparison. But honestly, I saw the video that tried to suggest the Medeli was better than the Event, he was completely deluded and being deceitful/devious because after watching it I lost all respect of channel and will never visit it again. I think the person must be doing a certain sales pitch because no serious professional person in their right mind with any form of sanity would ever suggest that unless there was a hidden agenda or were out of their minds!! Thank you again for your bringing these people back down to planet earth with the reality of how awful the Medeli is. A person who really wants to learn or make music should absolutely stay away from the Medeli because its even worse than a toy. All the best to you.

      You're totally right. I was really really disappointed in the sounds. From the organs and pianos to the weird guitars. Basically I only wanted it to play on top of MP3 and WAV files when I play solo events. So after sampling my own sounds in it. It's okay only for that purpose for me. But there is no way in heck I would use this keyboard for ANYTHING other than what I use it for. I love how fast and how easy I can get to the songs I have stored from what I've created from my other keyboards. But basically I'm just using it as an MP3 and WAV playback device 😂

      They will sell outdated sounds in a good looking housing with good looking buttons, knobs and touch display.

    •  ปีที่แล้ว

      You really have to buy some sound packs like Global Sound or Dynamix set to uplift the instrument I guess the factory sound are outdated. I ordered one but I know this already.

    Tiho, (or anyone who owns the AKX-10) could you please tell us if it is possible to trigger external MIDI modules from AK-X10's sequencer? I was burnt once with CASIO's "flagship" arranger that did not have this function, and would rather not repeat. Thanks very much in advance.

    I post my solos to show how the medeli sounds good I had to go in and edit the equation ect but I would not be ashamed to play it live.. You have to go in and edit sounds , I do not use the split just n Oi it my thing I would rather do all technical sounds myself

      @@Tiho2012 You're contradicting yourself by saying the AKX10 has cheap sound quality while at the same time praised it as the best keyboard in its price range. Cheap sound quality at what price? Do you expect a USD500 keyboard to sound the same as USD5000 keyboard?
      A proper review should compare apple to apple. The AKX10 never claims to be better than the top of the line arranger. It is designed to be the best value for the money.
      Many inexperienced reviewers make the mistake by comparing keyboards of different price range whereas reputable keyboard magazines would set different criteria for different price range. It's called expectation. This is why most brands make multiple keyboard models to meet the expectation of the different price range.

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Some people compared the AKX10 to professional arrangers and my video aimed to explain that comparison was nonsense and wrong. The AKX10 is a low-end keyboard that is worth the money it sells for. I am impressed with the options offered for this price. As for the sound, it feels like it's a cheap keyboard that has a cheap sound. I recommend the AKX10 to everyone who wants to pick up an instrument and learn on it or to those who don't want to pay a lot of money for a professional arranger because they don't need one, but I want to underline that the AKX10 is by no means an instrument for any serious musician who wants to play in front of an audience. AKX10 is fine for someone who will play amateur entertainment for friends.
      However, I want to praise Medela for drawing everyone's attention to the fact that you can get a lot for little money. Medeli should work on a new model that would give better sound quality for a reasonable price because "BIG COMPANIES" have recently been offering unfinished arrangers with a lot of problems for huge amounts of money. It seems that they are more concerned about how much they will raise the price than what kind of instrument they will make.

    • @medeliworld
      @medeliworld ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Tiho2012 Once again you don't need to have an expensive instrument to be a serious musician. There are thousands of talented musicians who became famous by using simple cheap instruments. Think of the Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix and other musicians who started poor.
      The Hammond B3 was originally designed as a church organ, but musicians love the distorted slightly out of tune sound of the Hammond B3 instead of its original sound.
      Sure you can sound good with expensive instruments but if you're not a talented musician, you would just produce bad music with high quality drum / piano sound. I believe in the music business, talent is more valuable than high quality musical instrument.
      As for the AKX10, many people do take advantage of its many features and compensate the low quality sound and style by using third party sample sound and programming their own Styles. This is something that you could explore, i.e. how to make the AKX10 sound more professional.
      Finally, Medeli does make professional keyboards under the Hydrasynth brand. Perhaps you can review that keyboard and come up with your opinion.

    • @Tiho2012
      @Tiho2012  ปีที่แล้ว

      Regarding the sound, I disagree with your comment because these sounds are very synthetic and do not sound at all like the instruments they represent. The tone is synthetic to the point that it sounds like a children's keyboard. Sorry for being so strict with my comment, but the sound of the organ is comparable to a toy keyboard. Most sounds sound like that. The only thing I would single out in a positive sense is the sound of a couple of electric guitars. I would also like to mention that the keys are very bad with very poor dynamics, so in no case can you play with these keys. Thanks for the recommendation to listen to your instruments with better sound quality. I recommend that in the next Medeli model you improve the sound quality a bit and have better keys. Feel free to add 50% to this price and it will be a hit keyboard. With such an instrument, they would be very present on the market.

      A very interesting toy that sounds like a toy regardless of whose recordings they are. There is no way to avoid that cheap sound. As I mentioned earlier, it sounds a little better if user samples are used, and the good thing about it is that you can lock the set. I think it's a good home entertainment instrument for the amateur because it's cheap.

I think there is an usage for each instrument and the AKX10 is more easy to take with you somewhere. finally I will not say that the DGX is better ... they are all good.
