Ok, volume is not the same, maybe in mixer yes, but in my phone I hear that pa5x is louder in this video. Bass, treble, middle, do you use mixer for part of forniture or for mixing? Make sound (just for ear) equivalen and then you will se, that difference is not so big... Depence what you need...
I think he is using the sound of the speakers in the Medeli and he is using an output connection on the Pa5x . That's why it sounds much louder and also the sound will be much diffrent because of that. He should have used an output connection on the Medeli for a true comparison.

Definitely, this comparing isn't fair. Generally most of the Korg keyboards give the player the true sense of the musical instrument, strong output and pure sounds. With consideration that the player is playing a main role in making the good music not the keyboard. In my opinion and the Medeli can't compete the Korg.
The price is not the only thing about what has to be better or not. A 4000 $ Keyboard not only has the better sounds, quality or samples, mostly there is also much deeper funktionality in structure, DSP-Routing possibilities, Sequencer-, Arp- special- capabilities and way more tricky things that you can do. Lots and lots functions under the hood, which a cheaper one regulary not has to offer. But: It depends on personal preferences, likes or needs and in the end : money.....
They have done blind sound tests where people can not see which keyboard they are playing. They did they one I attended live with a Yamaha Genos, Ketron SD9, Medeli AKX10 and Korg Pa5x. The test revealed more than half of the listeners chose the pa5x over the others. It was very interesting how many preferred the Korg over the others. Something I never expected nor would have believed if I didn't see and hear it in person. What was interesting was after the test concluded and the results were announced how many people tried to invalidate the results not wanting to believe them. Those people were put to rest quickly when they showed the video and proved the event was legitimate. Why do so many people want to choose to believe a lie than accept the truth in front of them?
I would hope the Korg did sound better than the Medeli AKX10 with the price difference. Would be nice if in this test both keyboards were set to the same volume so you could judge them fairly on this video though... they even turned the Medeli down even lower when it came to the styles comparison.
I think the real competitor of korg pa5x is Ketron Event. In this case, I think the winner will be Ketron. Omg those basses, strum guitars and drums are ultra realistic.
Medeli will be more appealing when it implements audio ( .wav ) in styles and especially more flashram than yamama and why not, having a portable module will be the winning move !!!
I think that depending on the person, you can do wonderful things with the medeli and bad things with the korg the akx 10 well exploit can be a very nice instrument for little money
compare a 4500 $ to 700$ keyboard the medeli wins a perfect program with a good settings will get like 90% of the korg quality .it is very very expensive. you can check the turkish programmer , they are doing very good job with the Medeli Dante Zen which is similer to the akx10

First of all this is a totally incorrect way to compare the instruments, the most important thing to do is gain staging, make both the same loudness. Just because of this a comparison like this is useless. Second, Medeli does not sound broken, no mater the price. Korg destroys the audio as soon as you import it, a known fact. Not sure why, but all their keyboards sound like broken, how difficult it can be to reproduce the audio files correctly.

True, as in the construction quality etc. You should go to a store and listen to a Custom voice created for it and put it on Korg Pa1X. The differences are significant. Nevertheless, Medeli still have to work a lot to compete with Korg and Yamaha

Pity the quality of sound recording is crap. You cant compare unless you use a proper studio and record it to soundcloud for a real comparison youtubes algorithms suck. i can hear distortion on both keyboards.

In the meantime we are waiting for the OS update for the Pa5, as three days ago the keyboard froze when I was playing it at a gig. And we had another Pa5 that we jumped on it to continue the playing. The second one froze also. This is not ok. For 4600 EUR... So, I am disappointed. On the other had, the Medeli never froze and neither any of the Yamaha keyboards that I had... Never! So, at this time, at the comparison, Pa5 loses in front of all keyboards, even Pa4. I had Pa300 and never had issues like this. So, I am sad

So far I have concluded that Medeli could have different keyboard sensitivity set up. Like out of the box it is a bit compressed i.e hits the roof.

The sound is over Pa4 with more levels than you can imagine. The OS is a work in progress system... We all wait for an update
