    Hi ,
    It is true Cal state vs UC is more affordable in FAFSA, My question is around how much get on grand. Scholarship and how much is net price I am single mother ,
    my son finished his High School next year . He has very excellent grade , He wants CS in concentration Game Development.
    Did you think so is more less expensive to go Cal State San Luis Obispó or is the same cost UC living on campus?
    Thank You

    I just got off the cal poly waitlist and am interested in going. Quick question, how would u describe Cal Poly's carrear services, particularly on the business side of things. Do they really help you find jobs/ internships or are you on your own on that front... BTW- thanks for the video, it was useful

      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rishi, I am being completely honest when I say this.. I believe the career services is (& Business specifically) is one of the best things at Cal Poly. You have so much guidance in getting jobs and internships and if you utilize what they offer, I can almost guarantee you will get one of your desired internships / jobs.

    So I got conditional Admission into Cal Poly Slo, realistically are my chances of getting accepted lower or higher. I would love to go but like I said idk if I’ll get accepted so I need to have a backup school. Thx 🙏🏼

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      to my knowledge, conditional acceptance means that if you complete all the classes you said you were going to take in your application to Cal Poly of your senior year with a C or better than you're in.. My understanding of it. Lmk if I am wrong

      Christian and Dane do you know if this applies for transfer students? I got conditional admission for transfer.

    I was curious about the living situation for transfer students, does everyone do off campus or do some stay in the dorms?

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a transfer, you will have the option to live on campus at the poly canyon village / Cerro vista apartments or find apartments/houses on your own off-campus. Worthy to note that PCV and Cerro Vista apartments are relatively far from the campus (Even though there listed as on-campus) as there are some housing off-campus at the same distance. But, off-campus housing specifically houses, are sometimes hard to come by.

    • @caitlinburditt7741
      @caitlinburditt7741 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      what’s the most common thing that the transfers do? on campus apartments or off campus housing

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have heard transfer doing both options. From my personal experience, I would say if you are going for a more social vibe get, off-campus is where that is. An apartment community off-campus is real as well

    What was your high school stats, like how well do you have to do in high school to get in

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because you apply to Cal Poly through your major, your stats and I guess the probability of getting in varies on the major you applied under. As a business major I had 4.5 and mid-1300's SAT but again in accordance for your major. Other majors will require better other less. But, there is an extracurricular section when you apply and I had a lot of extracurriculars

      i think the averages of stats for each program is on their website

    I live a little more than a few hours away from Cal poly but I want to be an Aerospace engineer, do you think that this would be a good school for me based off of opportunities (btw I’m in 8th grade so I have a lot of time 🥲)

    I was accepted as a business major do you think the opportunity you get from the orfalae college of business is top tier

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Taeyoon. Yes, 100%. I am a double concentration student and have had the opportunity to interview and get intern offers from the Big 4 as a 2nd year for my 3rd-year summer already. Apple recruits heavily from Cal Poly as well. It is top tier without question

    • @nhuhaonguyen379

      Christian and Dane is it hard to declare a double concentration at cal poly? i know switching majors can be difficult

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you are talking about a double concentration in business, they unfortunately no longer offer the double concentration to students anymore. For other majors I am not so sure. Switching majors can be relatively easy as long as you keep your grades up! If you want or thinking about switching, I would definitely not shut that option down

    Do you guys know if Poly slo or Pomona have a better business program?

    • @christiananddane4783
      @christiananddane4783  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nicole! As a student at Orfalea College of Business, (Cal Poly) I have had the absolute best experience with the curriculum along with the ability to connect with top tier companies and get internships. From my personal opinion (could be biased), I don’t see many other business schools at all being any better than SLO based off of the opportunity I’ve had. From my opinion, SLO business program is much much better than Pomona’s and rankings can support that as well if you need that confirmation (even though Cal Poly is so underrated)
