So the Takumi thing: the "if" is before the Speed check condition. It has three separate conditions: "if [1] [speed is] ≥ 4, [2] foe's attack can trigger special, and [3] unit has weapon-triangle advantage." So Takumi must have weapon triangle advantage to get the Special deceleration. Unfortunate.
I really hope this is like a Vital Astra moment and Holy Pressure is inheritable. It would be such a boost to so many healers. Hope this is the start of a good trend with healer buffs! Amazing analysis as always, I'm super excited to see what Elise can do!
I'm honestly fascinated by the idea that offensive Healer abilities are going to be scaling based off your opponent. I really like that gimmick and will really help all healers in an interesting way! If they keep staff specials rolling I'm looking forward to the flash one in particular. Although panic or exposure would also be very cool.
They could have done Poetic Justice to Elise by making Holy Pressure a 2 charge instead of 3 charge Special... It's still the best thing Healers get, but no unit is really dying to inherit it until Arcane Staff comes with the cooldown reduction.
I don't know how to approach this banner. There are so many great and exciting things in there (similar to the prevous Winter, New Year and Mythic banners), but at the same time, none of those exciting things have an answer to the current meta. VTakumi would be amazing, and easily top tier Far Savior, if we had a consistent way to deal with the brave + DR piercing specials combo. As of right now, he will die to the exact same things that kill Duo Duma/AIdunn/Caineghis/Fomortiis/Speedy demons/creazy Far Savior here. Duo Elise is another speedy nuke, this time in the form of a healer. She will put extra pressure into the previously mentioned tanks as NCD is still pretty exclusive (we are now getting NFU inheritable weapons, yet NCD is only on two prfs since his debut). Hardy Fighter will be mandatory to stop her true damage, which makes us go back to the first point. Now we reach the interesting stuff: VLeo. He has the potential to be one of the best, if not the best, support unit for tanks in Light season. Being able to inflict gravity to all the units in two columns every single turn, might allow tanks to bait units individually, instead of having to deal with multiple units at once. He can also allow them to safely bait Embla too, thanks to her recovery skill. He will have to watch for wrapping shennanigans, but he can be a fun unit to have around. Plus he can make getting pots quite easy, which is a plus for me.
Some one brought this up, and it hadn’t occurred to me. He gets 2 rows per round. You line him up at the beginning, then you end turn on a separate column. He’s going to decimate my poor defense 😭
The first part of Elise’s special I think is more designed to not let her charge it from healing. I’m not sure if it will interact with duo chrom but I don’t think that was the main goal of its design.
I think the description in holy pressure saying assist skills can't decrease the unit's special cooldown more refers to using Return+ to decrease it. Like how other staff units can heal to ramp their healing special. But since this special is offensive I think IS is trying to separate the special completely from any healing aspect other than the kind of unit that can equip it.
Hi! Sorry for the off-topic comment, but I've been wondering if you'll test Formotiis like you usually do with new units. Since the last video was tiring to make with the frustration of the summons (I feel you, it took me 4 Gotohs and 1 Reginn before I had to SPATK Formotiis, it was awful), I know it didn't have time to make the tests, however I'm really curious as to how he performs against certain teams in AR/Summoner Duels. I did test him against my Brave Seliph without a whole AR support, and he did survive, but I don't have the units to truly test him out. I really want him to work well as both Far and Near Save.
I'm summoning for Elise, with Leo as a somewhat distant second. I don't fodder off units if I only have one copy, so I'm going to try and get an Elise before the spark, because I've got a couple of staff demotes I've been trying to build, and if Holy Pressure and Poetic Justice are inheritable, that will top off their kits perfectly. (I'll wait for the Double Special to get a second fodder copy; I'm not going to go full-bore on this banner.) The unit I'm looking at inheriting Holy Pressure onto right now, Linhardt, is in an interesting spot where his stats are concerned. Mine is +7 and has a few dragonflowers, but his stats sit at 43/53/27/33/45. His defenses are good, but his attack is on the low side and his speed IS low. If Holy Pressure is inheritable, and if Poetic Justice is inheritable, the fact that they do true damage based on the ENEMY'S stats means he'll still be able to pack a massive punch when the special triggers. If these skills are inheritable, they'll be a great boon to the staff demotes of Feh at large. As for Leo, I'm fond of him as a character, and getting an alt that actually has good combat would be nice. But he is another character I'm willing to wait for the Double Special on, if I don't get him before spark. (I'm not color-sniping. Sniping on colorless can only lead to suffering.)
@@FEH The funny thing is, his kit WAS largely done before this revelation dropped on us. I got him the Serpentine Staff+ (Wrathful Refine), Rescue+, Windfire Balm+, Atk/Res Unity, Dazzling Staff 3 (alternate with Renewal 3), and Odd Recovery 3 (Alternate with Joint Distant Guard). The only thing I had wanted to add was Mystic Boost 4, but it's going to be a LONG time before I have that sort of fodder, since I don't even have one A!Eir, let alone two. But suddenly it looks like we might have more options, and I'm DEFINITELY to see how Holy Pressure can change the way I use him.
I have run cav lines in Astra since Elimine came out and would love duo Elise but I can't summon for her unfortunately. Here's to the free summon! Gonna be spending my orbs on Peony's remix banner
"Flame Peony" * cries in Tana* Also for Elise's special what they meant with the Assist don't charge it i think it means her healing don't charge the specials like the other staffs specials, but she could get the support from Chrom and such
Ever consider doing an update video for heroes like Duo Chrom? With all the new skills he can run and his banner coming back soon now might be a good time to invest in him
How is he still a good investment?? IS just loves him. I’d love to do an update video, but it’s hard to get time. I wonder if a video on “units that aged well,” would turn out well.
I like how IS offers the solution to last year's valentine's-day-massacre-red-armor-killer unit with a blue armor this valentine's day. True poetic justice.
I need that A/S Far Save for my Duo Marth. I already sacked a V!Lucina for Savvy Fighter and Kestrel Stance 3. I wish Holy Pressure worked on Def or Res depending on which is higher.
I think holy pressure is really hard to use without outside source Special acceleration as only staff armors get skill related to special count and the only seal available is quickened pulse. So I think she’s amazing but I think if people are pulling her for just fodder I’d avoid her. Also in most cases offensive staffs best c slot is atk spd oath 4 meaning infantry staff and staff fliers tend to have better offensive capabilities than cavalry armored variants.
This banner has treated me extremely well thus far,I was able to snag 9 five stars including both Takumi and Elise in just over 200 orbs! Wishing everyone good luck with their summons Can anyone tell me what track starts playing at 14:55? It's driving me insane that I can't identity it!
Love the vid. I just wanted to mentioned something I think you may have skimmed over slightly. Leo's ability gives gravity for player and enemy phase, which you mentioned. But this means he can be tactically placed to gravity two columns in one go. Which I personally feel could cripple certain AR teams. Mostly Calv lines. I'm curious if you've took that into consideration and have any other food for thought.
Man. Man! I'm not even a fan of Leo but I kinda wanna playtest him, I am pretty much a Gregor stan and I am loving this trend of weapon effects activating on both phases and this seems very fun. Wanna run this on my light comp with Eir, Dagr, and Gotoh to see what kind of havoc can be unleashed... God though. I'm so tempted towards Elise. I mostly wanna fodder her to my Lena for Poetic Justice and Holy Judgement but this is heavily gonna be decided by if HJ is inheritable or not. I'm trying to save my orbs for the possibility of Spring Michalis and L!Deirdre's next run dangit!!
I'm so excited for duo Elise they're so cute and adorable together! Elise and Sakura ending together was always so adorable so it's not a surprise this duo is precious! I'm definitely pulling for them and the healer special looks really cool as well!👀💕 The holy pressure makes arcane staff feels possible now!
healers scaling of the enemy with poetic justice and holy pressure should give them quite a bit of longevity because they’re less reliant on their own stats which will age eventually. That Leo is more broken than Seior imo because his res check is isn't dependent on distance or turn. If he can lock down multiple units he could have a big impact on the Meta in Ather Raids where most nukes have low res.
on AR-D, so many units use warping, though. i don't know, but you could be right. maybe i should've put him in the support tier list. some one brought up the fact that it's better than Thorr's stall ploy in certain cases.
@@FEH as a support unit I think he's top tier because gravity is very good and depending on how you build him he could offer a few stuffs buffs too. Warp defenses would be the exception because they don't care about gravity .
I dont think Gravity and Force ending a turn are nearly that comparable... I know how powerful gravity ploy is (I use loki all the time in AR) but it does not replace Future focused or seidr's utility
Is Holy Pressure true damage? It says "boosts by X". Poetic Justice is true damage, though. One bad thing I think Elise suffers from is lack of canto. Requires her to one round her target.
If Holy Pressure is inheritable, I dont think it's particularly great. I think we're running into the Godlike Reflexes problem again where the biggest issue is charging it. Anyone who isnt Elise doesnt have a slaying staff and even when they do, they still have 2 more charges to go. Most staffs are dependent on using Dazzling staff to avoid counters so they cant use counter attacks to charge it either. Its an upgrade over Balms but its not much as far as I can tell. As for Poetic Justice, its juts upgraded Wrathful Staff. Thats cool. Elise herself is interesting. I think her depending on the foe not running MB is not ideal but if she can get all of her effects off that is pretty strong. Im not sure if she scores well though because healer assists still dont score the best yet
So apparently Holy pressure is inheritable, but I just hate they made it 3 cooldown and made Elise the only staff user with slaying effect, making this special rather hard to pull off on anyone else without using something like time's pulse, which in on itself already is limited to infantry units.

i'm hoping its not just with triangle advantage, but you're probably right. i just wanted to see something different with armors that wasn't hardy fighter.

I’ve been listening to a lot of folks talk about it, and I think it will be. The hard part is, Elise is by far the best user of it. I’m looking forward to some creative healer builds, though!
One last thing, if Elise's special is inheritable, it technically can be used with Time's Pulse 4, as for whatever reason it is not locked out from Healers. Can run Atk/Spd/Res Finish 4, Null Follow Up/Poetic Justice, and Time's Pulse 4 on an infantry healer and thats super amusing. But big if, if the special is inheritable.

for those looking, this is the best explanation of Takumi's weapon that I've seen so far.
