    What do you think of the finished chair?

      You did such a wonderful job, I love the fabric choices and the colors. But the best part, it looks comfortable and inviting to sit in. Well done!

      Thank you me to shorts r just placeholders till my longer stuff gets uploaded. I have more dollhouse videos in the works and a possible barbie doll restoration/transformation vid in the future. 😊

    I LOVE the bold fabric choice. Personally, not a huge fan of the solid velvet seat; I would have done it in the tweed as well, with the velvet piping. But, it does go well, and you did a beautiful job.

    • @TasminBassettArt
      @TasminBassettArt  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree not my first choice would have loved if there was enough fabric to do the seat. Dog paws would have ripped at the wool a bit over time too so velvet will wear a bit better in this household.

    Amazing work! Cant imagine all the frustration at times and other feelings on the journey to the final product. This is really well shot i might add. The lighting as you work and we see hints of the final product really sets the mood for the dark finish of the wood and the classic tweed material for the chair itself. This is a classic video to watch with a cup of coffee on a rainy day. Well done!

    Beautiful work. Good, clear information. Lovely result. Makes me want to tackle a job I've put off for years. Hint: Cut piping fabric on the bias to accommodate tight curves.

    Amazing! I've got one of these chairs to recover (my first time dabbling in upholstery) though thankfully the padding is still good. I think I'll add a layer of Dacron just to plump it up a bit. I'm using Emma Shipley's Lynx velvet fabric in navy

    Wow! What a splendid job - and the tartan is very en point. Personally, I would have liked the seat cushion in the same fabric. Otherwise, well done!

    If you would like more information on the Parker Knoll Froxfield 749 I worked at the factory and have a lot more details

      Sure that's sounds really cool.

    • @deanpearce7049

      @TasminBassettArt the Froxfield stayed in production right up until the factory closed its doors in the early 2000's. Your chair is one of the older ones. It has a beech frame that was finished in mahogany, this was a mahogany stain, mahogany tinted sealer with a clear lacquer topcoat ( all pre cat). It was inspected by Mick Thornton. The later version a foam inner back and foam arms.
