You are a very smart lady and do beautiful work. I used to do upholstery and I learned a lot from your video. I'm tempted to do another piece. Not sure my old hands can do it, but I want to!! Thank you. Jeanette
This is so informative and her voice is soothing which is awesome because I will be watching this over and over before I reupholster my couch. Thank you so much for making this video.
I am sorry that you lost your son at a very young age. Your video is very inspiring. I am planning to reupholster my lounge chair that has a skirt and I've been studying how it was attached. I book marked your video for future reference when I get started on it.
Wow, you did a really good job. And you made it look "do-able" for the regular gal. I was feeling a little nervous about starting my project but you explained everything so well, I think I van do this! Thanks for explaining about taking the old fabric off and labeling the pieces, and ironing helps make it look so much more polished, reminds me of my mother who ironed every little seam no matter what she was sewing. Your tutorial was very helpful. Thanks so much.
I have watched this 3M times. It has helped me so much. I have upholstered a lot of stuff but this was OV ER MY HEAD!!! I cant find metal tack strips anywhere. I ordered some online and their like 12" long??? That's a small nightmare in itself . Uf you can make a suggestion on how to utilize those please let me know. Thanks so much for this video. Your a very good upholstery girl. You make it look easy. Which it is NOT...😳
Hi, I loved your video,, but can't seem to find others by you..I would like to see more of your work. It is sad that you lost your son ..I know that is a particularly hard loss, and I hope you are coping with your loss. I wish you well.
Nice job, thank you for sharing! I have antique/ traditional looking couch with some wood detailing on the back and arms and I need a video to how reupholster it, if that’s something you can do please? I hope you’re doing well and healthy!
You did such a great job and those colors are gorgeous!! I want to do the same thing to a couch and loveseat that belonged to my mom. I hope they are salvagable. They were left outside under a carport. They have had squirrels and/or rats in them.
Hi 😁 I am gonna be doing my living room set and watching your video makes me feel like i am gonna mess it up my first time thank you for posting this and being so detailed about everything your doing not to many are you are just amazing..wish i had you here to help in person lol now i am definitely worried lol
You are amazing, you son must have been so proud to have such a gifted hardworking mama! Any chance you live in Arizona and want to start doing classes? :) Any suggestions on fabric do’s and don’ts?
hi..I bought a sofa online..it had attached seat cushions, within 2 weeks where I like to sit, the cushion sagged and crushed..how can I fix this? can I somehow remove them and make them separate? I HATE my sofa and I'm not too handy and can't afford a new, one so soon this one is less than a year old
I will try to get some footage as soon as I can. I have a computer that is down that has all my videos upload to it. So with that, I may have to get the camera out and do some more videos. But I will see what I can come up with. Thanks for your interest.
Do you have to hand sew the fabric when you started the deck? Could you remove it and sew the fabric on and them put it back on the sofa.. I'm a Newby and I'm just wondering?
I was looking at the front legs wondering is she going to sand an restrain over the scratches first and then you started doing the skirting an I realized that it won't be seen.
Wish my grandma was here. I watched her reuposter chairs and stuff so I didn't think this would be that hard. I'll probably need months to do this and I only have one seat. In my case it might be easier to get a cover, but this seat is pretty dated. I might not find one to fit.
This is a good chart to go by. I've been using this same model for years. This chart shows yardage for basically a solid color fabric, or a fabric that has a small design in it. If you are using a fabric that has a large repeat or a large pattern that needs to be centered, then you will have to allow more yardage. Hope this helps www.fabric.com/SitePages/Reupholstery.aspx
The part that you didn't took off in the front, that was the part that I have been looking in the internet to learn how to to do it. And I stared wahing your video I said I finally got it. What a boomer you did not do it. I'm disappointed. 😁😁😝😝😏. O well I will keep looking. Thank 4 your video.
So inspiring!!! Thank you for sharing this, and I am sure that your son is watching you and so proud of his mother.
Great job I'm sure your son is really proud to have had a mom like you .. thanks for sharing.

Nice work. New sub here. Keep posting.

Talent at its best
You should label this “for not beginner DIY” or “advanced DIY”. You did an amazing job, but there was no mention about making the piping etc.
