Da Nang Vietnam is one of the most livable beach cities we've been, and we loved the affordability and the quality of life we could have there for a lot less than the USA! ❤😊 For our family of 4, we could live there in luxury for $2,500 usd, but if you're budget conscious and live more like local, it would be a lot less! 😊 If you would like to check out our other videos on Vietnam, you can watch by clicking this link--> th-cam.com/play/PLkefgwLVlLngM-XfblBIAaRl7OuFGhyQf.html&si=HNIE0kECXXpJMpoJ
Fun and informative video, especially w the kids chiming in. And it's not just the low cost either, it's the good quality w the fresh food, services, accommodation that come w the low price too. The cost of health care, family practice, optometry, dentistry in VN AND the ease of getting appointment and treatment would make us Americans cry.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching. Good point on the healthcare! We didn't need anything in Da Nang, but our friends said they were happy with the healthcare there. When we were in Hanoi, Vietnam, I had a bug bite that was infected, and I got an appointment the same day, and the medication was prescribed by the receptionist. I saw the doctor and was out in 30 minutes for $25 usd. Cheers- Chris
thank you guys for the video ....I will be in Danang in Feb 2025 for a month and your video was very informative greatly Appreciated.....Cheers from Canada East Coast Halifax.

@tdok You'll find better deals if you stay 3 months or longer but that's not to say monthly deals aren't out there. You just might not find them online. There are Airbnbs, Facebook Marketplace, Pagoda, etc but the prices are HIGH. Best to book at a hotel for the first 2-3 nights and just walk the neighborhoods. Go see the space in person and inquire. We, personally, like locations close to markets, restaurants, atm and a major hotel nearby (because we find taxis are readily available there)...yes, there's Grab (Uber) but sometimes a taxi for our family is quicker.
If you live more of a local lifestyle, even more affordable, but we still like to live a fairly Western lifestyle. You can check out our Da Nang Beach video if you haven't already! 😊 Link to video --->th-cam.com/video/ksRQTZrRyW0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pZiOLO2uWwrjbwk2

I just spent over a month in Da Nang, Oct 2nd - Nov 14th, 2024, Yes I agree prices are cheap in Da Nang I really enjoyed myself there. If you walk over the bridge prices tend to be cheaper than "touristy" closer to the beach. Also, cheap Bahn Mi sandwich can be found at the WINMART inside the Vincom. Also I found a haircut place few blocks off the main beach rode for 150k. Enjoy your time in Da Nang. Safe travels
Hi John, thanks for watching! Glad to hear you enjoyed Da Nang. There are definitely deals to be found when we went to some good local places across the bridge on the other side of the river. We are most likely going to try 90 days next year as a home base while we explore more of Vietnam and will be able to learn more about the local deal. Where are you from, if you don't mind us asking?
@JohnW-ef4qh Cool, we are from Henderson Nevada! We're on our second year of full-time travel and want to start a slower pace of travel next year. Enjoy your travels John!
This family is so cute, buy their home at US and begin new living in Danang Vietnam, so cool, highly apriciate, warmly welcome you to Vietnam by the most friendly, openning, kindly of Vietnamese people.
I think because this place was right by the beach and hotels, they charge a higher price for tourists...we are definitely learning that we paid tourist prices for some things...thanks for watching! ❤️😊
This was a great video u guys! Thks for sharing. Next time u r in Da Nang u could show us dining at your fav street restaurant with the plastic stools + also buy some bahn bao from a bike vendor 👌would love to see if they are tasty!

@@WorldFamilyExplorersand if you cook at home and try other kinds of entertainment, you can save up to $800, so it should be $1,400/month for a family of 4 living comfortably in Da Nang. Should be around $2,000 for foreign families to live in Hanoi or Saigon.
@mrbbkk we want to visit Nha Trang next year when we return to Vietnam! 😊 I've heard some like the beach promenade better, but some say Nha Trang is great for short-term stays and more touristic, and Da Nang is better overall for living.
That's great to hear! We were there for 1 month but want to go for 3 months next time to get a better feel how it is long term. If the 3 months go well, we would like to make it one of our home bases while we travel!
Planning Da Nang for 2026! Can’t wait! I actually have A la Carte apartment saved on my list, good to see u liked it. I read there is laundry machine in the basement, did u not see it? Would u stay in that area again? Even tho it’s a bit further from An thuong area, seems like still plenty food choices!
We did see the laundry machines, but it's honestly easier just to take it to the professionals around the corner. This way we didn't have to wait around for the machines to cycle. We liked the area. Lots of restaurants nearby, massages, convenience stores, but An Thuong area has more expat-y restaurant options. We also liked My An area.
Thank you! We homeschool and will continue to do so unless our kids want to return to school. But even then, there is many great schools outside the US.
Glad you enjoyed the video! There's no door dash or uber eats, but the Grab app works very similarly and we were super impressed how fast things get delivered in Vietnam!

People keep on talking about how cheap Da Nang is but they rarely mention the quality, what is the point of a cheap product if it’s useless! Low cost but the quality of life in Da Nang is very good! That’s what makes this place the most livable city. Glad you Enjoy Da Nang ❤
Sure! We actually filmed a video because we get that question all the time, but we haven't released it yet! 😊 I Dad/Chris am retired from the Military so I get retirement pay and we sold everything before traveling and rent out our personal house and other investment properties for additional cash flow. I also have a Real Estate business in Las Vegas I manage remotely. We make a small amount from TH-cam commercials but not much! ( we aren't Mrbeast ) 😂🤣We have other friends that full-time travel doing remote online jobs, which many have become available since covid) or managing businesses or investing which they can do remotely.
Hi we found our rental through airbnb since it was only for a month. Long term some of our friends use Facebook or work with local agent and you get much better price this way.
We haven't been to Nha Trang, but from what our friends say, the beach is more beautiful there, but Da Nang is better for longer-term living. We plan to go to Nha Trang next year and compare! ☺️
Please tell us how you’re planning to make this your home base ? What is the visa process you’re going through in order to stay in Vietnam long term? My family and I would love to travel and stay long term in Vietnam, but none of us are of Vietnamese descent.
We travel full-time, and Vietnam currently has a 90-day tourist E-Visa that you apply for online. We would need to travel to other countries every 90 days, then renew our visa to come back again. For us, we are nomads continuously moving, and Da Nang Vietnam would be a place we would like to return to as one of our home bases while exploring other places in Vietnam and other countries! ❤️😊
Guys, please do not go back to the barber the charged you 200k vnd or 10 usd for mens hair cut!!! Mens hair cut cost like $5 and that’s the Max you should pay, doesn’t matter how nice the place is!!
@ryannguyen2057 You're right! 😊 We saw barbers after we got our haircut for a lot less, we just needed to go further away from the beach tourist area! We forgot to say that we did get the shampoo and head massage with our haircuts. Still a lot cheaper than in the USA but we need to go to a different place next time for a better deal! Thanks for watching! 😊
Do you have any content on schools for kids? Or if there's anything for special needs kids such has being autistic. Any info on this would be much appreciated!
We homeschool our children so we don't have any personal experience with schools in Da Nang. I know there is some international schools there (heard great things about the school in Hoi An), but again no personal experience. I suggest joining some of the Facebook groups for expats and asking in there about the schools. Hope this helps 😊

Are you guys planning to live here long term?( If so how are you planning to do it) Or just for 90 days? I just want to see how it works if I do move here with my family
@tommytran3059 We are considering Da Nang as a full-time home base or minimum would like to be there 90 days a year. Many expats live there full time and just do the 90 day tourist visas, then go to another country while applying for another 90 days " Visa Run " then come back. We like to travel a lot anyway, so leaving and coming back every 90 days is fine with us if we decide to live there longer term. You apply online, and it takes 4-7 days to get approved then you come back once approved.
Do you know if the Vietnam government have a limit on how many time we apply for visa? Also we are planning to do business there , so not sure if a diff visa is needed
We traveled to 12 countries with the kids before Vietnam, and the kids have made friends everywhere and enjoyed every place we have been so far. They do want to slow down more, and we agree that we all want to get into more of a routine and slower pace of travel. Vietnam was definitely a favorite on our list, and especially Da Nang. We will most likely spend at least 3 months a year there. We homeschooled in America first, and once the kids did well with homeschooling back home, we realized they could do well in any country and they have been adapting very well schooling while traveling and learning about different cultures! ❤️☺️
We try to do at least one video per week, depending on our travel schedule. It's hard to keep up while also homeschooling our kids. Thank you for watching! ❤️😊
We did go to Vin Wonders this year but want to on our trip next year. We did go to Sun World Asia Park and Mikazuki Water Park, which were pretty cool, but VinWonders looks better! ❤️😊
Yes, it's currently only a 90-day tourist visa and some other complicated business visas, but for us, we travel a lot anyway, so we would just keep exploring other countries every 3 month and come back. Takes around 5 days to apply for another 90 day visa then once approved you can come back.
@carbonfibercrypto2919 that is one hard things about traveling. Alot of countries make it hard with different shots and waiting periods needed. We had to find new homes for our pets before we started traveling which was sad...😔
Hi we are a full-time travel family so we travel to many different places. In the last year we visited 13 countries. We really enjoy Vietnam, though, and plan to come back again next year! ❤️😊
I apologize, I don't think your comment translated properly. It's basically saying that you're sry but you're going to America to chase homeless people? Sorry, I don't understand what you mean, hope you enjoyed the video. ❤️😊

@WorldFamilyExplorers we live near veliko tarnovo. Lozen.
We loved Da Nang! We stayed over on An Thuong 29. A 2 bedroom was $450/mo with WiFi, washer and dryer and cleaning twice a week.

We homeschooled in America first, and once the kids did well with homeschooling back home, we realized they could do well in any country and they have been adapting very well schooling while traveling and learning about different cultures! ❤️☺️
i like how you list all the prices.
Glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
When do you post new videos?
We try to do at least one video per week, depending on our travel schedule. It's hard to keep up while also homeschooling our kids. Thank you for watching! ❤️😊
VinWonders Nam Hội An! 🎡🏝🐾
We did go to Vin Wonders this year but want to on our trip next year. We did go to Sun World Asia Park and Mikazuki Water Park, which were pretty cool, but VinWonders looks better! ❤️😊
@WorldFamilyExplorers Yes! Go Safari Zoo?
We didn't go to the zoo, so much left to do for our next trip! Thank you so much for the suggestions! 😊

Will there be a new video this weekend?
Working on our next video on Hoi An Vietnam, which will vibe released in the next few days. Thanks 😊

Hi hope you enjoyed the video ❤️
it's a pity that there is no good long-term visa available
Yes, it's currently only a 90-day tourist visa and some other complicated business visas, but for us, we travel a lot anyway, so we would just keep exploring other countries every 3 month and come back. Takes around 5 days to apply for another 90 day visa then once approved you can come back.
@@WorldFamilyExplorers Indeed. We have a boxer dog so taking flights every few months is too much of a pain.
@@carbonfibercrypto2919 Should not travel if you have pets. It just too much work and will diminish your enjoyment.
@ agreed, but this is not a choice. I’ll spend the money before I abandon my homie!
@carbonfibercrypto2919 that is one hard things about traveling. Alot of countries make it hard with different shots and waiting periods needed. We had to find new homes for our pets before we started traveling which was sad...😔

Hai vợ chồng ở Vietnam luon hả??
Hi we are a full-time travel family so we travel to many different places. In the last year we visited 13 countries. We really enjoy Vietnam, though, and plan to come back again next year! ❤️😊

I apologize, I don't think your comment translated properly. It's basically saying that you're sry but you're going to America to chase homeless people? Sorry, I don't understand what you mean, hope you enjoyed the video. ❤️😊
@@WorldFamilyExplorers as a VNese I can't understand neither lol
It appears that the living expenses in Vietnam is going up!
Yes cost of living is on the rise around the world! Still a lot more affordable in Vietnam than USA and great quality of life.
for 2500usd/mo you guys live like a aristocrat in a chateau with butler.
I don't know about all that 🤣 but a very comfortable lifestyle for sure.
