The internet is an awesome place. Not at the point I need to replace my clutch but it's cool to watch so I'll know what to expect when I do it myself.

Wow I never knew changing a clutch would be so easy. I imagined it would be a pain in the arse.
My FZ6 does not need it yet but it looks easy to DIY.
    Great video.

thanks for this vid. I always thought this would be a really daunting task, but you explained everything well. and that extra info about the new springs is also priceless. (i was only going to order the plates and a gasket) I'm gonna order parts and get this done thanks to your video.

Do you remember the clutch order ? Does it start with the metal one ? Also did you have to adjust the clutch cable ?

After you instal the after market parts, everything went well? I order for my fzs1000 as well after market parts and I can't change gears after.
I leave only the metal plates with the old friction plates and same thing gears are blocked I can shift only without cluch no chance to put it into neutral.
After that I saw that for my tipe of bike are 6 type's of friction plate and 2 or 3 steel plates.

How's the clutch feel now? How many miles did you have on the stock clutch?

The clutch feels fantastic when shifting, but the pull on the lever is a bit stiffer than I'd like. Much better grab when I take off from a stop. I had about 36,000 miles on the bike when I did the clutch change. Hopefully it will last at least 36,000 more miles.

MotoShaman Good to know. I'm a ways off then at 12k. I would like to have faster take-offs though.

Um, the order 100% matters. If yamaha does their clutches in a similar manner with all their bikes than you literally screwed up your clutch install. The yamaha super tenere is very specific in how the clutch order goes. And from what I've seen on other install videos it does matter.
