Hey Jack, Great video! I’m thinking of getting the Air 2S but not sure due to its lack of variable aperture. I realise it comes with ND filters but how easy is it to judge the exposure of an aerial shot from the ground? Do you find yourself launching it a lot and then having to bring it back down again to change the ND?
With the Air 2 I had a pretty good feel for which ND to use just based on the light at ground level, but it's still a bit trial and error with the new sensor on the 2S and I'm still getting used to it. It's hard to tell from the live footage what it's going to be like as well which makes it a bit tougher, don't normally see until editing. As a general rule I use ND4 around golden hour, ND8 when it's cloudy, ND16 on clear days and ND32... well, I haven't yet! Also, sometimes it depends on the shot and angle and how much movement I'm expecting... but yeah, still some trial and error!
@@westernapproaches there's been talk about a "pro 3 coming" for over 18months...got sick of waiting and when this had the 1" sesomr, jumped on it immediately... No regrets (and variable appetite is not that much of an advantage let's be honest, nice to have but not nessesary)
