The hand held vacc/blower unit is pretty cool, other vaccs wont fit in tight places. The power bench seat is awesome, great place for the kids to sleep/nap on road trips, etc.
Excellent work guys, you all deserve a big pat on the back. Once on the road, I can see many great adventures for you all. Looking forward to the next one. Gary 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you! Can hardly wait!
@@TexasHillbilly you look philip rivers lol
Great job on de-shagging the interior!!! The 318 engine can be modded by using 360 cylinders heads for more torque. One of those 4 speed Chrysler overdrive auto transmissions will help a lot too.
Very cool Man! I'd love to see it in person!!!
You're raisin' em right Brotha!
Thank you! Appreciate the support.
What a great job,well done.
Many thanks!
This renovation may not be a professional job but I must say that the parts and pieces that are being used to put this interior together is awesome. Man you are doing a great job with that interior renovation. Especially when you're doing it in a way that saves you money. Beautiful job bro!
I appreciate that.
TexasHillbilly: Those old school Chrysler and Ford slush boxes have a torque converter drain plug.
Good to know!
Great work well done all of you guys cheers from Australia 👍😉
Thank you so much 😀
Nice work with this awesome van😀
Thank you!
You got alot done in this video
Thank you. It’s been a lot of work.
Good afternoon from Spain, a piece of video, showing the laborious mechanical work, it will look spectacular, if it weren't thousands of kilometers away I would go to help you, God bless you and thank you for these endearing videos.
Thank you so much! 👍
Yes J! I've waiting for this one mate!
Hope you enjoyed it!
😯OMG ! 😯
This was an EPIC AMOUNT OF WORK ! 🤩
..and this video should already have thousands and thousands of likes 👍
Epic Thumbs Up for y'alls commitment , determination , and effort ..y'all have earned oodles of RESPECT !
😇❤
Thank you so much!
Definitely looked like a brown recluse, I got bit on the ankle by one, it left a dime size hole. It feels like getting scratched with something hot or a hot sting. If you don't keep it clean, that's when you get necrosis that spreads.
You need to seal the roof , if you don’t use 14x14 spot for air conditioning, or max air fan, I recommend one or the other!
Is that what the square on the roof is for?...Roof top AC? I thought it was for sunroofs.
Great video
Thanks!
You might want to put ATF+4 trans fluid in. Originally it probably required ATF+2, but its backwards compatible, so the higher number will work on the older vehicles. Chrysler transmissions are usually temperamental when you use other fluids.
Will do. I plan to do a filter and fluid change before I take it on any long drives.
It's looking excellent, came up better than I would of thought, your excitement is great, great seeing you and your family working together 😊 thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Thank you so much!
@@TexasHillbilly you wear the shirts from all my favorite automotive channels
Better content than TV networks can produce!
Check the brake light switch on the brake light pedal underneath the dash for those lights to shut off in the back
A front light was on as well. I think it's a faulty headlight switch.
You can spray some contact cleaner into the switch it has water copper contacts inside and brass that get dirty turn it on and off switch it in and out and that might clean up the problem before you buy a new one there's a little button to push to pull the front switch to come out and then you can pull the whole switch out his little button on the square box behind the dash
Asome job you have done a lot of hard work. Im thinking might take the engine out and just do a rebuild if it sit that long it would be good to check those cylinder walls most likely pitted and causing it to smoke.
good video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Congratulations on getting the old girl running again.
Thanks 👍
First time follow your TH-cam channel buddy. Present from Malaysia 🇲🇾✌😅Kuala Lumpur.. Good job buddy
Thanks for your support!
My great uncle had an old 70s Trotwood "Tin Can" pull behind that had an electrical inlet with Tiidee Products on it. It was an odd 3 prong setup that went to an old fuse panel inside. Ended up changing it all out and putting a small breaker panel in it because the old Tiidee stuff was obsolete.
Makes sense that they would make a wide range of aluminum components.
Adjust the switch on the brake pedal, thats probably whats keeping the brake lights on
I think it’s the light not fully off. One of the front running lights was on as well.
I would have liked it to be furnished inside like it was in the 70s. Carpet everywhere, colors like yellow, orange, brown... cozy and authentic.
I would have as well, but my budget doesn’t like that.
@@TexasHillbilly c'mon man - a pair of sunglasses and another bandana for nose/mouth and you'll fir right in with us okies 🤠🤓
@@TexasHillbilly My 85 GMC had paneling, shag floor carpet with terry cloth seats.
You can dye the carpet and the seats
Nice work whit van 👍 good video 👍
Thanks 👍
Super Glue works on those big cuts, I speak from experience with stupidity and blade cutters
I probably should’ve got stitches, but the butterfly bandage that was under the regular bandaid did the trick.
@@TexasHillbilly Mine left a portion of my fingertip with no feeling. See also "stupid things guys do"
Firing order, distributor rotation, and cylinder arrangement is identical to Chevy
They make roof mounted 12v A/C units u can use
I’ll look into those.
I believe the square cutuot on top is for roof top a/c unit
I think you’re right.
Nascar Xfinity just doesnt sound the same as the Winston Cup Race, does it?
I commend you on the interior of the van. Looks completely different and much better than it did when i first came to this channel after TH-cam recommended your video.
Agreed. It’s not the same vibe. Thanks again!
Are you going to be lucky and have it have a plastic gas tank
Fort Hood is now Fort Cavazos.
Your kidding!
Did you buy a carb rebuild kit wirhout Sherman treats🐶😎
Check the trans fluid level
That’s in the video….
Is it my imagination or is the video color a bit washed?
BTW the van and that 80's porn stache kinda go together.
It always seems to be a little washed out. I haven’t attempted color correction during editing yet.
😂Gotta up the creeper lever if I plan to drive this thing around.
Scratching head in wonder...
Even more confused about why you didn't rust reform the roof after seeing that you knew how with respect to the floors?!?!?
I did. Not everything is filmed.
Dude I would get a new battery for it
When it’s ready for the road, it’ll get a fresh battery.
parati?
Dude I know you wont read this but anytime you pull a cab off immediately put a rag in the intake to keep bolts dirt and bolders and water from going down into the intake, The first time you drop a bolt down the intake and have to pull the heads off to get the bolt out of the cylinder you will thank me
I read every comment. Thanks for the tip!
@@TexasHillbilly When I went to Arizona Auto Ints years ago the instructors beat it into our heads / Plug the intake ! You are welcome keep up the good work I love it
