Splash radius and splash damage affect all explosions.
If you get enough of them before rolling that map, then the portals will be able to damage, and potentially destroy, each other after you destroy one of them
It also makes triple splashdown op as hell
I once beat that one map with 5 portals in, I shit you not, 3 seconds lol.

I mean the Reeflux does have the charge hold if you want (lol)
I'd also take piercing so the bottles become more threatening.
I'd also think having no decrease in the jump charge would be good for the weapon, considering it has a whole other firing mode while jumping
I love my tri-stringer, but it's a struggle 😭
also a bow main here, I honestly dont think charge hold is the best thing for stringer since I honestly dont think it needs it since it's already very mobile and likes playing more off partials, so oftentimes you arent going to use it anyways. I think what they should do is focus on it's main two weaknesses, being inconsistency with damage and lacking paint at longer ranges. The damage is honestly super easy to address, it's direct damage per arrow could be increased to somewhere between 39 and 42, thus giving it more damage, which makes it just a little to heal off enough damage for it to kill you if it's focused on you. The paint buff could just make more droplets, think the hedit buff. The biggest downside would be trying to not just make bow a paint bot because that's boring, so it should still be a little spotty, just easier to move through, as well, its vertical shots should always make a perfect line like a charger shot, that way it has a way to let its team in. I also used to be a charge hold supporter, but as I've put more time into the weapon, there just arent really times where a chargehold would actually improve what bow specifically can do

Though I am aware that some people don't know that you can hold the charge with Reef Lux. Heck, I didn't know until like 3 weeks ago.
Fun fact: Blast radius increases jelleton explosions and portal destruction.
Having too many homing shot chips sucks, you try to paint a wall to escape but you just can't lol
I love how you can make literally any weapon overpowered in Side Order, it feels so nice to just sit back and watch the enemies practically destroy themselves
Or you could do a Lucky Chip run and literally watch the enemies kill themselves.
@@quertiywop5856 Honestly, I much prefer Drone runs. They're just a Lucky run but better, you get tons of items _and_ tons of attacks from Pearl at the same time
Tri-Stringer: It's a great weapon in just about every mode... aside from the main pvp

@remix7345 I have been using stringer in S rank and was in major debt...because I was using other weapons. Idk what it is about stringer, but it is such a comfy weapon for me that I don't really know how to describe it. It works a treat as a support in rainmaker, can be a real nuisance in zones, and a disaster to play against in tower control. Clam blitz requires a lot more mobility than stringer can provide, but one mode out of 4 is not bad at all.
The object damage on bow is actually so nice all the time.
Yeah, it's what made Stringer so good back in crab meta.

Splatoon 3 is a game that loves using the number 3, whether it be damage amounts in story bosses, the new agent 3, and other stuff.
So it's really funny how it only introduced 2 new classes with 2 variants
To be fair were most likely getting a new Stringer and Splatana next season
Will THEY get second kits...? I honestly have no idea
I'm willing to accept no 3rd kits simply cause between the 2 new weapon types and all the new weapons the seasons have been adding (plus their 2nd kits), we're already at a similar amount of kits to 2s end I believe despite them having 3rds. If my maths correct (removing single player weapon reskins), 2 ended with 129 weapons while 3 has 120 atm
Stringer was my first side order clear and was my absolute favorite as a stringer main!
Me with charger at max charge speed with max range plus homing assist begs to differ
I was genuinely surprised how good Stringer felt in SO
I started using it in multiplayer and it’s actually not bad
The kits could use some work but overall not bad
Mist is a very situational special, and kinda hinders the weapon a bit. However, when you really get into the support mindset and stick around other midline to backline teammates, you really find creative ways to use it. Default stringer is a weapon that works best when around other teammates, and is meant to chip in damage from a reasonable distance while also having the option to snipe from longer range if the opportunity presents itself.
I love the stringers, it's a shame they all are screwed by their kits and mid buffs
Also PS: day 16 of commenting to Chara until nintendo figures out how buffing and nerfing weapons works
RIP to me with the Reeflux Deco coming in as the worst ever kit designed.
I mean tbf it's so bad that it's at least funny, V-Jet was a terribly designed kit that was not fun to play against at all, so even though the deco kit is about as good as eating stagnant dumpster sludge, it's at least flavoured with the rotting apple cinnamon aftertaste called fun, unlike s2 V-Jet which is more like a taste of twice used diaper puke.

I think an unfortunate side effect of getting piercing with the tri stringer is that it loses it's ability to shred portals after getting it. The bolts explode on hit without piercing against portals and it's just really satisfying. Sucks that you have to basically give that up to get crowd control.
My favorite combo for now is charge speed up mobility ink recovery and splash radius up
I recently discovered that quick charge not only increases stringer’s charge speed, but also its tap shot speed as well

My first clear was with Tri Stringer, and I was just casually trying to get Prlz to jump back into my Splattershot run. Shot homing, piercing, and max sound boosting made short work of things, and made Killer Wail insane.

Bow's ability to be consistently powerful and fun to use in everything except the pvp needs to be studied.
Stringer was my first clear back when i didnt have many hacks unlocked, it felt so strong even with the random assortment of chips that you get with low hacks

I understand that, but it does indeed have viability in ranked. The right opportunities have to show themselves. In rainmaker, you are doing 2 things: defending the carrier and stalling the shield. The object damage on stringer makes the latter job a cakewalk. In tower control, you mainly stay in a safe spot to keep the tower clean and to ink the center of the map, forcing enemies off and into your freshly inked middle. Inkline honestly works better imo for zones as super chump can help fill midfield with ink a bit faster.
Tri stringer is my favorite weapon and I know I can ruin people's day when I play with it in a match but I wish it was better for competitive play
It can serve up some decent pain in ranks up to s+ from what I have found. It is my only saving grace in ranked. I don't always win matches, but I always do significantly better than with any other weapon.

Tbh my favourite weapons and most op are the charger and Luna blaster. Luna blaster with max firing speed (1000%) is insane. Charger with 5% charge speed and max range and max piercing is also incredibly busted

Honestly tri stringer is one of my favorite weapons by design and I’m so glad they let it have the potential it deserves in side order
As someone who plays the stringers like religiously, I despise the auto aim 😭
And then there’s me who neglected nearly everything about the primary fire of the bow in favor of spamming triple splashdown (splashers rise up)
Bow and Luna blaster were both super OP for me
You should make a proper bow analysis/guide so solo queue bow players (like me) can feel good about ourselves
I wish I got lucky enough to get a single good chip on my stringer run. When you get unlucky, Stringer sucks, which isn’t great, but at least when you aren’t unlucky it’s good enough to make up Multiplayer

ok so, i avoided using the tri-stringer in the dlc until the very last weapon besides the octo-shot because i thought it would be frustrating, but then i ended up completing it in 30 minutes,💀💀💀

This was my first win weapon and I got 31 minutes (Just to put that in perspective most peoples first time win plays is like 40-120 minutes)
side order is great because it lets me imagine a world where stringer has a good kit
I wonder if Nintendo is talking feedback from the customization that people put on these weapons and will design a final kit around it.
Did you know you can reroll boss floors except for floor 30? I tend to skip pinging marciale
I'll be honest I don't think 10 minutes works for something like side order.
It made sense to go as hard as possible with the first winning run but this is just too short to fully communicate the run.
I'm not asking for full runs, that's what the vod channel is for. I think 15-20 minutes would be the sweet spot, since that's around half or one third of the run (elevator included)
Some weapons feel like they have mire dps if you get more damage upgrades from marina

Beating the game with pearl drone is awful.
So so so many resets because of impossible runs.
If you pick anything above normal difficulty before your build is online, you softlock.
If you pick a certain 8ball station (can’t remember the name) you reset because there is a propeller.
If you pick tower before you get enough regen on your stuff to make progress, you reset.
If you get splat zones only. You reset. (Technically it is possible but doing ine without ink strike is basically suicide.)
So it is far more about getting lucky than it is about your own skill actually.

Stringer is one of the better weapons for Sider Order but no way is it the best. Charger and blaster are stupid easier you can just walk around and easily win.
