I used Seat Belt Eye Bolts replacing the original Seat Belt Bolts. So my seat belts are bolted to their stock location and the Safety Harness are connected securely to the eyes. My Safety Harness Shoulder Straps are Rolled and strapped to the original Roll Bars. I have a video on how to strap the Shoulder Harness to the 986 Boxster Roll Bar. And Schroth is pronounced shoe-roat. You can also fit seat belt plugs when you are using the harness to fool the seat belt sensor. I was looking to get a lower seat mount as my memory multi-adjustable seats sit too high and when the roof is retracted, my head is eye level with the top of the wind-shield, and cannot fit a helmet on when top is up. Yes I watched your video ages ago. I’m amazed you used the stock seats without shoulder strap guides. Please get a proper seat that allows the harness to work as intended plus lets you sit lower.
Hey brother quick question for you. I have a 996 and lookin for this exact set up, but in an adjustable setting(sliding mount). Where did you source your gt3 style seat, and any recs on the sliding mount, not fixed? Would like to beat to still use the back of the car if possible
Check out my other video installing a seat with a slider. These seats are from an Australian company that made them in the early 2000s are are actually safety rated for the Aussie road rules. I wouldn’t trust eBay replicas.
How did you go about reconnecting the seat belt to the harness? I separated mine from the harness and plugged it in under the seat but I’m still getting an airbag light
Hi Seth, PCI also have a mount with a traditional slider. I have another video installing the Brey Kraus out with slider in the Porsches as well. It is the Racetech seat install video

If you didn’t have the battery disconnected when you unplugged the seat you will have to clear the code to get rid of the airbag light
do you think its possible to mount sliders to this mount instead of the side brackets?
