      Yeah, you do a great job free flying the elevation part. My opinion is that the elevation control is a major element between an OK video and a spectacular video. This is where the Avata I think is going to have an edge. I believe it uses downward facing IR sensors, as well as downward vision with Optical Flow, to precisely control elevation indoors. If you watch real estate videos made using the Avata, I think you will notice the insane, locked on elevation flow right off. Anyway, good stuff man. I really like the little birdseye PnP of the trajectory. Very nice touch.

      @@Beerbatter1962 Hey there, I noticed in this video that the operator is using a GoPro mounted on top of the drone. Would you or anyone else here recommend that set up over the onboard/stock Avata camera? What about with the DJI O3 Air Unit add-on?

    • @Beerbatter1962
      @Beerbatter1962 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@wTwigAlthough the Avata camera is a good improvement, I still don't think you get the best solution for cinematography compared to a dedicated footage camera. You won't get the best frame rate, and other useful features trying to combine your flying camera with your footage camera. In general, go with whatever camera provides what you need considering the resolution, frame rate, real-time exposure control, stabilization, and weight.

    • @wTwig
      @wTwig 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Beerbatter1962 Thank you very much for this feedback.
      I will mostly be focused on real estate tours, property footage, and the occasional unique fly-through videos of businesses in my area wanting some unique marketing.
      In my head a Go-Pro is overkill for this, but I also know they have incredible product support and are the upper echelon of recording devices for these exact scenarios (action/moving footage). Do you think it is worth it to just grab a GoPro alongside my Avata purchase?
      I am trying to be sure I don't invest in a product that won't provide the immediate level of performance I need. I can't seem to clearly grasp how well the Avata performs standalone compared to with an onboard camera.

      It has taken me a couple years of practice to get where I am today with this slow, consistent and steady indoor flying. There really is alot that goes into it.
      I don't think this would be possible with a mavic mini or something similar. When you're flying in a multi-million dollar mansion, your'e going to want a small drone and one with propeller guards or ducts.

    • @TRONCATFPV
      @TRONCATFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! The main thing that separates this from standard filming with a gimbal is that it's one continuous take throughout the entire property. It's difficult to lose sense of where you are. Plus the freedom to go above tables, through windows, and up stairs in one fluid motion is what alot of the real estate agents like the most.

    Thank you so much!!!!!! This video is what I need to get started with real estate! • @meechcreativellc
      @meechcreativellc ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not how that works. You need the 107 first. If the video you shoot is being used "in furtherance of a business" which the sale of a property is just that, same as handing off to a real estate agent or person self selling, it's commercial and you need the 107.

    • @meechcreativellc
      @meechcreativellc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@neilfpv So, here’s where it gets weird…so stick with me.
      As I have known and understood the rules, you can’t fly / shoot as a recreational pilot and then say, two years later use that footage in a commercial manner. Meaning that the flight in which you captured the footage, had to be under Part 107.
      Now, I am one who respects rules and regs, and the spirit of them. But, if your intent is to build a portfolio, which ultimately will be used in “the furtherance of a business” then yes, technically you should only use this time to shoot for yourself, for practice, etc. Then, get that legit first client and use that imagery for promotion and build from there.
      Now, that’s how I would do it if I were once again a newbie. That being said, the likelihood of there being repercussions from the use of a few pics starting out is slim.
      Now, IF there was an accident, on the shoot, and you’re not Part 107, insured, etc. with a cleared flight plan…then that’s where it gets bad.
      Hope that helped!

      @neilfpv ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@neilfpv It's ultimately worth getting it. Even if you don't end up flying for money, in the long run it will be the official document that shows you know and understand what you're doing. Nice video! Is it possible to pass through the brick or concrete walls without huge loss of video quality being 250ft or more outside the bulding? Any opinion will be appreciated, i'm noob in fpv but it seems the digital video transmission could solve my problem.

    • @TRONCATFPV
      @TRONCATFPV  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Range like this will vary depending on the specific building/wall. If you're flying the drone from over 250ft from the building you want to fly through this would probably be pretty difficult unless you were in the building.

      Flying backwards takes a lot of practice and aligning your route with other objects beforehand.
      ie if there's telephone lines in front of the house, I'll go to floor two, three, etc and will be able to judge about how high up I can fly in relation to different floors.

    Smooth flying indeed, but I’d like to know what you charge/your rate. Hourly, Day? Rates include post work of editing and such, traveling to property? I don’t do this for a living, but I have a friend in the Realtor biz who I’ve done a couple jobs like this for. Thanks!

    • @TRONCATFPV

      For real estate FPV work we have fixed rates that will change depending on the size of the property. and then of course different packages since we also do photography, floorplans, matterport etc.
      I'll probably have a video in this series that focuses on what to charge for real estate FPV work in the future. I've been noticing this question more and more 👍

      GEPRC is one of my favorite brands of pre-built cinewhoops. The Cinelog35 is great for carrying a full sized GoPro. GEPRC was supposed to send me a Cinebot30 to review but I never received it so unfortunately I can't vouch for that one carrying a full sized GoPro.

    Just subscribed. I have a degree in film and I have a few Ciniwhoops was wanting to try this. Question. Why do you not film all the bathrooms. And what do you charge to do a video for a client? Thanks man. Great video. Awesome work. Also. Why do you not shoot the garage?

    • @TRONCATFPV
      @TRONCATFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ditto! I've been curious how many FPV pilots also have a film degree under their belts. It definitely helps with this style of filmmaking 🤘
      I'll film the bathrooms or garage if a client requests it. The garage is the kind of thing I like to show quickly when flying outside. Bathrooms are usually too small and interrupt the overall flow of the video and can be difficult to fly in since they're so tight. Bigger bathrooms like a master bath I will film.
      What we charge varies depending on the size of the house and what the client wants. A lot of our clients also use us for photography, floor plan, and matterport services in addition to indoor FPV.
      Hope this helps 🙌

      It's taken tons of practice to get it to be this slow and smooth. I'm still learning things to this day. Slow & consistent speed holds peoples attention and eliminates the need to pause the video to see what you're looking at.
      The music choice is key to holding peoples attention too 😉 I use Audiio for almost all of my music.

    For someone wanting to get into real state drone work as a job but having no experience yet, would you advise them to just start with something ready to go like the DJI Avata or put together a setup like yours in your part 1 video? (not worried about cost)

    • @TRONCATFPV
      @TRONCATFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't think the Avata will be replacing my custom built drones.
      The avata is bigger and has more thrust so I'm cautious of the houses that I fly it in. Also, since the Avata has sensors on it i'm not sure how those will interact with objects in the house (if you were to fly close to counter tops it may increase altitude to avoid it)
      Personally, I think custom built is the way to go. You can get it under 250g easily, can fit in tighter spaces, can put a variety of cameras on board, you won't have to worry about airspace restrictions when indoors, and it will cost much less than an Avata.

    • @Phocasa

      When this video was released the O3 was not released yet.
