Don’t know if I’m late to this but, i am trying to strip down my GoPro hero 5 black to mount on my beta85 pro 2. It’s a 2s drone and was wondering if the steps are the same and if the drone has enough power to fly? Not looking to do anything crazy, just hit small gaps going slow.

Hey bro, i just got this. I’m having a few issues. My voltage super low, like 14.6 from just 2 mins of flight just cruising around (4s 450mah tattu). It is a little colder about 50 degrees could that impact it that much? Also the first few times i flew it, my video feed would start scrolling, i believe this was due to the vtx overheating, since i have to setup my go pro on my phone, it takes about 2 mins, before i can fly. I have kinda fixed that by turning on the low power disarm.
Are you stopping at 14.6v under power? I usually come down around 14v. You might still have some flight time you're leaving on the table. Also, make sure your VTX frequency matches the goggle frequency by the 4 digit number.
@@whiffles vtx channel matches up, i put it in manually on betaflight. Ahhh okay, i was under the impression you had to land at 15.0 but im new to the whole micro scene. Im surprised no one else is having vtx issues, i’m planing on just upgrading the vtx to something a little nicer lol. Thank you bro
This one died the other day. I'm not sure why but my guess is a voltage spike when I plugged my battery in. I'm using an extra BEC through my balance lead now just to be safe.

You also need a display. Either find one in the naked GoPro community or you can buy one from a store. They're relatively inexpensive.

Is there anything needed to be done in regards to its wifi antenna? Or it is okay to leave it as is(no antenna)
I haven't had any issues, but you can cut some wire and solder it. Joshua Bardwell did a video about that.
Do I need to downgrade to firmware 1.60 if I'm decasing a GoPro Hero 7 Black? I plan to use the stabilization and not ReelSteady software.
1.6 is only for a Hero6.

The new board has a green LED but the function is the same. Press power once and record once.
does a Hero 4 black for also work well ?
It won't work with this BEC and case and frankly I'm not sure it's really worth it for the lackluster video quality of the Hero4.

I believe the same kit will work with the Hero7 but be sure to double check the compatibility before you buy.

It's supposed to be for using the flight controller to start and stop recording, but it doesn't work very well.

What about motherboard WiFi ??? Don’t you need to add an antenna ???
It's not required, but you do need to hold your phone pretty close to ensure a solid connection.

@@BmoreVisuals On 4S I usually start coming back around 14.1v. It'll sag under 14v pretty quick at that point.

This works for the Hero 6 and 7. I wouldn't do it for any but the Hero6 though. It works best with Reelsteady Go.
