Good for you! :-) How wonderful of your MIL to get you this great gift! I quit drinking coffee many years ago, but the older I get and less energy I have, I wonder if I should be rethinking that decision. We have a Keurig, but it's several years old. I don't have one cause I am a tea freak. Cold or hot. I take my favorite tea bags with me so I only have to have the water to make it. Saves money and I get what I want. So Jeri-Ann got what she wants with a great b-day present from the mom that loves you. Congratulations. Blessings

Your old one appears to be a K50 which is a 1.0 I operate both a 2.0 (mine) and a 1.0 (mu girlfriend's) daily . So I surely do know the difference. And I think that the 2.0 is more recent than 2011. Very nice birthday present. Nice video. And a late Happy Birthday to you.

Thank you soooo much !! I received mine on Wed but in brown. I've NEVER used a Keurig. Still have a Mr. Coffee coffee pot which I can program the night before. That's what I liked about this one...that you can program it too. But haven't had the time to set it up and even the instructions were a little confusing. But thanks to your video, I know what to do now. Thanks a million !!

coffees and ice coffees available too. Hope you all enjoyed your very first cup.
Now I'll just scurry to my kitchen for my 2nd cup of instant coffee a-la some store brand variety followed by a splash of Coffee Mate minus the 3 or u and the happy, playful chipmunks! Some people have all the luck!LOL God bless you all!

Well actually, instant coffee is a great source of potassium (unless that’s changes on the last 10 years). My Pop used to drink instant everyday! You like the chipmunks, lol! It’s fun! I was fortunate enough to gift my sister and sister in law a Keurig back in ‘08 they needed one because my Aunt Mary would stay with them often and she needed to drink decaf. It saved them so much money it made it so worth while! Thanks for the love Girl!

instant coffee. Sure your sisters appreciated the Keurig to help Aunt Mary with the decaf that she needed while tending to them. When there's lots of coffee to brew, I'm sure a device like a Keurig is economical.

Hi Jerri my keruig did the same thing about 3 years ago had to replace it got go have the keruig I use my mr.coffee too cause I drink sometimes 6 cups a day and that can get pricey Opening up a keruig is like Christmas🎁or🎁🎂
Absolutely Resa! But I always (unless I’ve gotten coffee really cheap or somebody has gifted to me) use regular ground coffee in a reusable filter so it is much cheaper that way and no waste! Thanks for the love.

Awesome early birthday gift (and early birthday wishes). My Keurig was doing the same as yours and not making a full cup 🤐🤐🤐. I drink a LOT of coffee so decided to go with a Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker (less expensive in the long run for me). Enjoy!! 🤗🐶🐕🐾😁🇺🇸

Nice machine, however, I don't understand what Keurig is doing because this newer model called the Elite looks like a step backwards from the 2014/2015 Keurig 2.0 models with the touch screen.
So I guess the Keurig 2.0 touch screen models were an epic failure? These newer Elite models have more in common with the tried and true Keurig B70/B75 models..
Holy smokes that machine at the very beginning sounds like a motorcycle starting up and in idle hahaha.

I need to know how to use the timer. TWICE I have set the timer, and when it went off, I STILL had to manually make my coffee, making my ride wait a bit longer. I would LIKE to just stir in my creamer, and be out the door. ~{Mine is Brushed Slate!}
Well unfortunately the time just turns the machine on and gets it ready for the k-cup. You still have to select cup size and brew strength! Thanks for the great question Steven. Sorry for the delayed response.
No problem. I am just glad you answered before my ride comes in 2 1/2 hours. So ~ the timer goes off, then I wait 3 minutes for it to heat up, then press the buttons. Got it. Thank you, Jeri-Ann.
Can you show how to assemble the coffee filter to brew your coffee? What you are showing is pretty easy to do, assembling the coffee filter is what it's not so easy.
This was just me unboxing and setting up my Keurig. My husband is the keurig expert but we just use the k-cups. Hope you find another video to help you!

I’ve always used bottled in my old machines. If u have a filter you don’t need bottled water?
Nope! We have hard water and a water softener that can leave mineral and salt deposits and we’ve never had a problem as long as we’ve used a filter. I’ve never had to descale or re-prime either. Thanks for the great question Brandi!

If it were only my hubby and I we would get one but I have five coffee lovers in my house and we all love 2-3 cups each, so I honestly can’t afford it. We did buy a Ninja coffee maker though that even froths milk and we LOVE our Ninja! I love the variety you get with K cups though! I do miss it so much! The donut shop coffees were always my favorite until I tried the Newman’s Own organic line..it makes the others taste stale! I drink hot drinks even in hot summer. If I make cold coffees or the frozen slushy ones I drink them way too fast like I did Icees as a kid, LOL! But it gives me a caffeine bomb headache. Mmmm, watching it drips makes me want some!

I am the only one who really drinks coffee in the house so a cup at a time is perfect for us. And I don’t normally use pods that are already made I refill my own each day.
