- Since Koma is deleting his channel (sadly, but I understand why), and he greenlit anyone to archive his videos, I will be uploading his mixes that he made of DOOM. I really liked listening to the mixes on the background.

Soooo, I got a copyright strike from Mick Gordon and 4 of the videos got removed (Meathook, Metal Hell, Super Gore Nest and Hell on Earth). I don't know how much longer will these videos stay up. It probably isn’t the real mick Gordon. Remember a long time ago someone named their YT account mick Gordon and copy striked videos of doom soundtracks. Could be that person again. I doubt mick would copystrike you
Thanks for archiving these dude! I was literally sad af when I read his announcement about deleting his channel. Alot of other doom eternal mix channels just don't understand flow or transitions. at all, and sound awkward.. His mixes are the best. Sorry that it sounds like your already dealing with the b.s. that he was. Thanks for the google drive files.
Also I don't think you got striked by the real Mick Gordon. I talked to another great Doom Eternal mixer "Dinnernator". Mick Gordon gave him consent and told him he had no problem with Dinnernator making mixes and that he has never filed strikes. Also: Id Software, David Levvy and Andrew Hulshult all have also said that they love people making mixes and have no problems with it. In many comment sections you will actually find Andrew and Mick complimenting the mix! TH-cam needs to work out their shit and support creators.

4:03 - 5:46 is the best piece of music in the entire doom franchise. It's just that good. The "RIP AND TEAR" chants, the guitar that feels like it's repeatedly hitting you over the head, the sense of urgency, all culminating in this singular, adrenaline-fuelled moshfest. I get that Mick did a great job with the main campaign and it was sad to see him go, but Jesus H. Christ, if Levy did not go off with this fucking song.

coming back to this 2 years later armed with extensive knowledge of metal and all of its various subgenres i'm tempted to say that this is the best modern doom song.
Sorry to ask, but what genre of metal is this? Since most of the metal songs have vocals in them, and this one is just pure thunderstorm of instruments... or is this just a soundtrack and that's it?

@@samotutko6913i don’t know how much the dlc soundtracks qualify for it but mick’s stuff falls pretty neatly into djent. Not a total expert in metal but I do know djent. I’ve never been too big of a fan of the term argent metal since doom’s music already falls into djent.

One of the reasons there is a point of downloading good stuff and archiving it on your hard disk. I was late to backup KOMA archives and I'm still furious about it. His rendition of "Cultist Base" fucked so hard...
I like to think that the entire soundtrack is something the Slayer had on his suit hard drive. I also like to think all that music was because after he became King he formed his own metal band with some Sentinels.

In the cinematic, we see a lot of demons, the real surprise is the sentinels coming. We dont need them lol, we face those kind of troubles for the entire game, but pretty cool they help us. Rip and tear!
