Same, but I had a crazy idea. You mix your vocals and make the sound better. Then you download it and then reload it into the song and put new effects into it and make it sound amazing 🙌🏽
An easy technique is to just sing notes in the chord. For example if you have a melody that starts on the 3rd of a chord. Sing the same melody but start on the root. You’ll have to change some of the intervals but as long as you stay in the key it should sound fine
And that's all without even editing just stacking vocals on itself. What I've learned is editing is always a lot more simple then a beginner makes it seem. Sometimes just raising the volume of a section and adding reverb to the chorus makes it the sound your going for. Best of luck in your music journey to whoever is reading this
I think it should mostly be noted, if your instrumental is already stacked and busy, this does not usually end up working out right. Best thing to do is punch the compressor on the lead, maybe have a harmony, and a big of stereo widener behind and for something like electronic and rock or busy tracks in general this works fine because you dont wanna have the track fight the vocals and vice versa
Its more to it than that. Some people have a sound diffuser or a mic box to filter out outside noise or unwanted sounds. Using DeEsser also contributes
@@geezyeskabantedifferent takes as close to the original as possible. Ensure to add character to each different take, such as making one take in a lower tone and another take in a higher tone
Okay I’m confused on how they recording.. like I mean I know there’s ways u ca record off your iPhone using a actual microphone using some types of hdmi or type of plug in cords, or use iPhone earbuds to record but the quality isn’t that good to me personally…and u can use a laptop with Apple earbuds OR u can use a mic and get the best quality
you gotta wire an audio interface, there are different ways to do it, if you wanna use something like an arturia minifuse or something like that, then you'll requiere an USB HUB, and an Apple Adapter that allows to connect to USB A, and then connect the adapter to your Iphone , then the USB HUB to the adapter, then the audio interface to the USB HUB, and you're set, open Garageband or any app that you may use and pretty much it will work automatically.
I’m recording with a mic but it does not sound smooth like that, how do I edit it so that it sounds blended in with the music instead of feeling like I just slapped it on there?
Whenever I try to do this it just makes the track louder, harmonies work tho. Would I need to offset one of the tracks by like 1 millisecond to make it sound like there are more than one person singing it?
Usually if you just sing it again (not duplicate the og track), that has enough variation to sound like it’s more than one. Unless you’re REALLY REALLY superhumanly good at sounding the EXACT same every time 😂😂
You can alter the sound volume and how it’s coming out. Off the top of my head I believe it’s somewhat bottom left button but I can’t remember definitively. You can mess around with those until you get your desired effect overall. Just one guess I am by no means great at this lol.
Instead of moving the actual track, you could use the (I think, I don’t remember the name exactly) FILTER EQ effect and increase the spread to do the same thing
If you’re using Apple headphones make sure there is a safe space between you and the mic and also adjust the noise gate and DENOISE!! Denoisung can make a big difference sometimes
Yes. You should also experiment with taking out low and/or high frequencies on your backgrounds so they don’t interfere with the leads. ALSO experiment with panning them left and right to fill up the space
The sad part of mine is , I don't know those plug ins and vocal effects' names are. Often times I heard music in my head but don't know what type of vocal effect or vocal presets
when i try to add harmonies and back vocals to my song and suppose i start recording in layer 2 the recording of the layer 1 also got recorded in the layer 2 also from starting to the ending , and the whole song sounds so bad , how to solve that problem can you give the solution
Record a main vocal, then record 2 more vocals that are the exact same as the main one (record it tho don’t copy & paste the main, it don’t work like that) then pan both the doubles to left & right.
To solve your problem use the noise gate to cancel Out any air or noise that may have slipped threw them you will have a clear song noise gate is major key if you do not have a sound proof booth learn noise gate front to end and frequency in band lab and you will never complain again
the lead vocal alone is already good
Fr my lead vocals always sound so flat and empty I need to add like 5 layers for it to sound thick enough

I would look into a music theory course to expand knowledge on harmonizing
Focusing your attention to the bass is also a great way to ground yourself in the chord
