A passenger has died, and 30 others have been injured after a Singapore Airlines plane from London was hit by severe turbulence over the Andaman Sea. Some passengers said the plane began shaking and then there was a sudden drop.
The plane made an emergency landing in Bangkok.

All aircraft in the vicinity took deviation to avoid a known turbulence zone. SIA pilot flew right through it. Too many close calls for SIA. Poor Human Resources.

Learnt it was a case of severe clear air turbulence and the pilots had no inkling of it ahead of them !!! Wondering if that was really the case !!
