Learn the program from the ground up. Know what each window represents, what each tool does, and so on. Then try to learn each of the synths the same way. Know what each effect does to the sound and how you use it. Then see if you can route instruments to mixer tracks and mess around with each of the effects. I think actually knowing what is going on with each adjustment you make really helps when making decisions about how something should sound. I’m at a point where I can hear a random EDM song sample and know exactly how it was made. You’ll get there, but all-in-all I would say just keep practicing and keep learning. There are also a ton of useful FL tutorials that can do a better job at explaining the program than I ever could, so check em out!
Not sure about Serum, I use Sytrus because I feel it is the most versatile synthesizer available. You can use additive or FM and AM synthesis with ASDR envelopes and effects all in the one package. I tuned all the sounds by ear from the default sine tone. I prefer it this way as I know for my own record that everything is my own work; I can prove to myself that I made this truly from scratch.
@@DRLongSchlong671 Much appreciated thank you. There is no MIDI generated from the score although very easy to replicate yourself if you copy what I show in the beginning. It is in the key of C minor.
be advised, hostel tank spotted!
