Weekdays Be Like... | Rebecca Black - Friday (Parody)
This was a bad idea...
Hello! It's been a while, hasn't it? Over a year to be precise since my last upload. I have been very busy during that time earning a qualification for my dream job, so I haven't had a whole lot of time or energy to think creatively. Now that this is coming to an end, it has given me some more free time and head space to dedicate towards making some more music. Here is one piece that I was working on. It is a bit of a joke track and not meant to be taken seriously. I am also personally a fan of the original artist! So, I hope that this does not offend them.
During my hiatus, I have also mustered the cash for FL Studio! So I won't be stuck with the trial and having to discard my hard work every time I close the application. And not only that, but the package that grants me access to all of the native plugins. And so far, I am very pleased with it. Currently I am just experimenting with a few of the new features that released with FL 21. One of those features is a new plugin called NewTime. This seems to be a cousin to the earlier NewTone, which is another really cool plugin that you can use to manipulate the tone of audio samples on a piano roll, and do some autotuning. NewTime instead can be used to time-warp samples in little segments, which I'm finding really useful for matching badly timed vocals or drum loops. It works pretty much seamlessly, and this is precisely what I was using it for here. So, consider this as a bit of a test.
For the pitch manipulation, I instead opted to use automation clips for this, because it was just easier to work with this from the playlist rather than saving new samples in NewTone. I was experimenting with formant shifting also, which is a super cool feature that allows you to shift the position of the harmonics in vocal tracks. In Layman's terms, this means altering the perception of the sound without changing the actual pitch of the vocals. For the pitch shifting, it has been especially useful to avoid sharp spikes in the high end of the frequency spectrum, especially when shifting up. And FL 21 introduced this new feature in the sampler that shifts the formants automatically (called "restretch pro"). I thought that was really neat. I think it give the DAW yet another edge ahead of competitors like Ableton...
Special thanks to "Cardi" (@masteremarald123) for producing the instrumental used in this track!

Please let me know what you think! I really enjoyed making this. If you guys have any ideas for what I should do in the future, please let me know in the comments! I am thinking of doing a mashup next...

BF4 OST | Jin Jie's Dream + Revolution | FL Studio Remake
มุมมอง 1.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello everyone! It's been quite a while since I have posted a video (over two years to be exact), however I have been producing music here and there since. I decided I would surprise you guys with a cover of one of my favourite pieces from one of my favourite video games. This just came into my head, and a lot of the times that is all it takes to inspire me to recreate the song. Oh, and I hope ...
FL Studio | Daft Punk - Around The World, But Something Isn't Quite Right | Remake
มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
So I've been questioning whether I should attempt to remake this funky track myself, but ultimately came to the conclusion that it would be too difficult to authentically replicate the two main pluck synths. A couple years later and I feel like I have gained enough experience with this program to give it another shot, and I'm actually really impressed with the results! It doesn't sound perfect,...
BBC Radio 1 - 10 Minute Takeover Theme (Extended Mix)
มุมมอง 9K6 ปีที่แล้ว
So this theme song has been stuck in my head for a while after hearing it on the radio numerous times in the past. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't a single on its own, it's a great listen. I'm sure there is others out there with similar thoughts. So I downloaded myself a copy, gave it a quick EQ till it sounded right, and made this video to go along with it. Hope you guys enjoy! DISCLAIMER:...
Hyperspeed - Eveningland (Extended Mix)
มุมมอง 117K6 ปีที่แล้ว
So this is my first actual upload :D I think this is an amazing track with a really smooth vibe to it. I thought it was such a pity that the original didn't last for very long, and much to my surprise (not really) I wasn't alone in thinking that. So I booted up FL, time-synced it as best I could, and added a much needed EQ (flattened out the mid tones, made it slightly brighter, compressed the ...

Oh Eurospar’s a whore, we’ll rip you off and more!
This deserves so much more praise, this is beyond awesome
Great work bro! you know what key its in? there any midi for it?
@@DRLongSchlong671 Much appreciated thank you. There is no MIDI generated from the score although very easy to replicate yourself if you copy what I show in the beginning. It is in the key of C minor.
@@IcarusMakesMusic Thankyou, yeah I should be able to figure it out now knowing its C minor.
This feels weird but it works
Oh have no doubt that I intended it this way. I mean, one is conveying a nice warm house party where everyone is enjoying themselves, and the other is conveying a school shooter who is planning to massacre their classmates. It’s a beautiful contrast 😅
Is there a Serum preset bank or anything like that that has these sounds or similar
Not sure about Serum, I use Sytrus because I feel it is the most versatile synthesizer available. You can use additive or FM and AM synthesis with ASDR envelopes and effects all in the one package. I tuned all the sounds by ear from the default sine tone. I prefer it this way as I know for my own record that everything is my own work; I can prove to myself that I made this truly from scratch.
Don’t worry, I wanna cry too ❤️
perfect.
dude this is cool but how did u get the bass line for it cant find it inside of sytrus
Bro, the 2020 free FL was savage. At least now you can save the files in a trial version
As far as I’m aware, you could always save projects in the trial version. It just prevented you from opening them again. However now that I’ve bought the full version, it’s not a problem anymore. Check out my latest upload, I’ve been messing with it for a few weeks now :)
That waz a lovely song
wow you nailed it, great work
Thank you! 🙏
1:30 Who recorded me pressing the ignition button on our propane fireplace?
be advised, hostel tank spotted!
hostel /ˈhɒstəl/ noun noun: hostel; plural noun: hostels an establishment which provides inexpensive food and lodging for a specific group of people, such as students, workers, or travellers. Similar-sounding words hostel is sometimes confused with hostile
sick af
Glad you think so! ♥️
Always love listening to this on a chill day :D Great work btw!
Appreciate that, thank you!
0:13 remix start
I remember hearing this back when i was 13 on a video and it just gave me a really peaceful and uplifting feeling from it
this reminds me of the good old trance times. this song need a good 120bpm bassline.
Dude this could be geometry dash level
Your synths are on spot, just chance your drums, and mix your bass
Oхуеноооооо
🇺🇲 🇿🇦
when the song starts, I'm doing 40 MPH when the base drops I'm doing 100 MPH
Any tips with how a beginner can get better? Your videos especially the around the world remake it’s motivating, keep up the great work.
Learn the program from the ground up. Know what each window represents, what each tool does, and so on. Then try to learn each of the synths the same way. Know what each effect does to the sound and how you use it. Then see if you can route instruments to mixer tracks and mess around with each of the effects. I think actually knowing what is going on with each adjustment you make really helps when making decisions about how something should sound. I’m at a point where I can hear a random EDM song sample and know exactly how it was made. You’ll get there, but all-in-all I would say just keep practicing and keep learning. There are also a ton of useful FL tutorials that can do a better job at explaining the program than I ever could, so check em out!
this is good! one question: where did u found those drums sounds ? i been looking for it for a while
Hi there! First, thank you very much for the comment, I appreciate it! Secondly, the drum samples are actually mainly from the default packs that come with the FL Studio trial. You can find most of the 808 and 909 samples from the legacy drum folder in the browser. Hope that helps!
@@IcarusMakesMusic 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Oh, just another note: FPC has a great library of samples from the 707, 808 and 909 drum machines. It’s a really nice sampling plug-in which has all of the samples in one program and has tons of premade loops that you can load from it. It’s like your classic drum machine…
@@IcarusMakesMusic Ill check it thank u so much bro
Anymore R1??🤩
Testing Games brought me here.

Is anyone else here from a happy hob brb?
Well done 👍👍👍🙏
Appreciate it!

Thanks a lot :)

Thank you :)

More base (reverb) on your kicks and claps is what you need Play around with reverb2 and you get it *ADD REVERB ONLY TO THE CLAPS AND KICKS*
Thank you for the tips! Yeah, there are a few things I’ve noticed after coming back to this. I’m also not completely happy with the pluck lead, feel that could be dulled. I had another comment criticizing my kicks and I agree, I could have eq-d it up a notch but what I tend to do is add sidechain compression to all my instrument tracks to bring it out more as the master limiter tries to bring it down again. Lots of finicky things to work on!
Everyone please subscribe this man is brilliant
Cool tune but such a rip off of Paradise by Coldplay .
You just gave me a great idea 🤔
#PARAGUAY ask why deleted 1200 am álbum ?
Code Bullet and shazam brought me here
Thank you Aldas F1.
Why No Spotify
Amazing job, the kick is maybe to light?
Perhaps 🤔 maybe add some sidechain and bass it up a bit

Can you edit this part?? 🤩 th-cam.com/video/m5Ksd0l-ips/w-d-xo.html
According to Shazam some idiot named Jincheng Zhang owns this song, whoever this fucker is, he is stealing a lot of songs.
Awesome track
Thanks to Code Bullet for introducing me to this amazing piece of music. Ear candy at its finest.
Oh man you're totally right!!! Code bullet introduced me to this song during some AI training XD. Hell yeah!
0:38 Music Title? tbh that backround music is better than mgi music
Anyone else here from the Aldas F1 channel?
Yes.
What bass did you use, specifically? I'm having a hard time trying to pinpoint the exact file.
Hi there! I didn’t use any presets in this project. Every track was set up from scratch :) hope this provides an answer
