    Thanks again man taking my motor apart and I’m drilling it with a drill press so it should be a little easier.

    Only some engine crank need balancing you should try wrist pin bearing spacers

    Can i balance my crank by drilling only 3 holes on each side with 12mm drill bit on full penetration

    This video tells me exactly nothing about how to figure out how much material to remove and from what location. Are you just hoping for the best? Based on what are you deciding where to drill and how deep?

    15mm, from the very tip (the cone part) of the drill bits?

    How are measuring the weight that needs to be removed for actual balancing?

    Thanks, i will have to give this a try
    plan on doing an expansion chamber soon with the stock chinadoll muffler modified on there as a silencer
    it will also stop oil from dripping from the stock muffler when stored after riding

      @@user-nu5wf8uf4c The cheap dolphin pipe and silencer eliminated most of my 4 stroking problem
      I had a broken 304 stainless 8mm stud in the front that when fixed helped eliminate a lot of vibration issues.( luckily I got it out)
      Just hit 40 mph with a 36-tooth sprocket, (downhill.) (Stock ,,, other than exhaust "no mods")
      there are some pictures of my bike on my youtube channel. trying some new shit

    Decent information but this is lightening, not balancing.
    To balance you would need to take the actual weight of the reciprocating mass and remove that much material for a 50% balance, which might not even be ideal for the application.
    Lightening is not balancing.

    • @seanolson5900
      @seanolson5900  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And this is the result of weighing the reciprocating mass and taking off weight to get a 60-65%

    • @seanolson5900
      @seanolson5900  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And this is for motorized bikes where the reciprocating mass is pretty much the same on any motorized bike motor so I didn't bother videoing the weighing and the math

      @@seanolson5900 close but not true. For example if your running reeds with window piston it changes every thing. Many run reeds

      @@MedicWillCA yes I know that windowed pistons are lighter and will be different than this I'm talking a normal non reed China doll

    I work in a engine shop building race engines and the only way to know where to take weight off is to spin balance and every one is going to be different and alot of time you have to add weight not remove it ... this is not showing how to balance unless you show how and where to remove or add the weight....

      i was just thinking this, I built over 5 VG nissan motors, anyways my machine shop does the balancing, and they use a pretty fancy fixture/tool. I've seen it in action once , I wonder how that applies here.

    Did any of you geniuses think about how the depth of a hole produced using a twist drill is to be measured?
