Congratulations on the victory! This is truly one of the hardest bosses in the game. The fight with her is incredibly beautiful, somewhat reminiscent of Malenia from Elden Ring. The mod deserves to be added to the original game as DLC by the developers.
To beat radiance, pure power was not enough, or the pale king would had destroyed her, so zemer couldnt beat her, for beat radiance, you need an opposite power, only the dark can consume the light, that why the void was the only way to beat her, and why we only can fight her after unify the void, because the night become one with the darkness, enough darkness to consume the radiant light
I both wish and am glad this is only a mod... Of all the knights, Ze'mer didn't seem to be the one that would contest for the top three hardest bosses in hollow knight.
I see a lot of people saying this oughta be put into the vanilla game. I disagree; I think it wouldn’t hold up as well when played in conjunction with the original. While this mod is amazing, it’s simply not as high quality as the og game. Keep in mind this isn’t meant to mean the mod is bad! It’s amazing, by far the best one yet! I’d like to hear other opinions on this.
I sincerely disagree. In terms of quality, this mod goes above and beyond what is expected of it even comparing to original. The writing is solid, the mechanics are new and original, the animations are simply fantastic (and this particular fight is beyond fantastic in my opinion) and the soundtrack belongs right there with the original score. So yeah, in my books it is as good and in places better than the original game.

There’s no new mechanics I find more interesting than the base game, the writing is fan service (good fan service, but still fan service), and the animations are simply lower quality than the base game.
@@loggersviii1228 the parries are, for once, valuable. Zemer fight becomes easier once you realise you can parry through majority of her attacks. This is not something you can do in the original game and it gives you a new angle of tactics in battle. Isma uses minions that aren't extremely annoying and distracting like Collector's or Lost Vessel's. Hers are stationary and you can ignore them as long as you avoid the floor and projectiles. However, they won't let you heal safely, which means you have to deal with them if you want to. This is in my eyes better than endless waves of the same creature over and over again. Drya is probably the weakest of the bosses in terms of quality if you ask me, but she's still better than for example Bee Knight, God Tamer, Soul Warrior and Traitor Lord. Her attacks are actual swordplay instead of disconnected slashes. She's also, given her name, relentlessly agressive and won't give you time to recover if you don't go out of your way to make it happen. Hegemol is good because he puts a new spin on False Knight/False Champion fight, showing how the owner of the armor used it to his advantage. And the animation of him throwing the mace and punching the ground is of superb quality. It isn't as angry and furious as False Knight's is, but it is because Hegemol doesn't actually want to destroy the city he's protecting. And if you look at Zemer's fight and say that her animations aren't as good or better than most of the game's original ones, I don't believe you. I don't have an argument in here because all I can do is compare them both and say I like hers more. They are graceful, with original swrodplay that showcases both the weight of the blade and her extreme proficiency with it. They are fluid and flowing, instead of original's mostly jerky movements (not a bad thing, just different).
@@Micolash-Cage-of-Nightmare parries have always been valuable. Try using them in sly, HK, PV, or traitor lord. Even NKG can be made easier with parries. Isma having less annoying summons than some other bosses does not equate to higher quality. Have you… played the mod? Dryya’s fight is literally chock full of disconnected slashes. The only that aren’t is her boring three hit combo and her thrust, both moves done better in the base game. IMO traitor lord is much more fun than dryya, but that comes down to personal preference; naming some of the weaker bosses of the base game and saying dryya is better than them again doesn’t equate to the mod being the same/higher quality than the base game? I don’t know what you mean about hegemol. Like, yes, it is a good boss. But not better than what the base game has to offer. I’m gonna make a seperate reply for ze’mer since I’m going to go relatively in depth with the descriptions.
You don't, phase 2 is a 'surprise' at the end of the Champion's Call boss rush. You can fight it on its own after you encounter it like any Pantheon exclusive boss

Funny enough, I've already seen a couple of people call Ze'mer the Malenia of HK.
Her 2nd phase flurry is reminiscent of waterfowl dance lol, down to her movements (tho shortened and simpliefied for 2D, it's recognizable)
This would be cool, but I hope these bosses won't end up in the pantheons because these guys would make it much harder.
As cool as the brutal second phase is, part of me wishes that the traitor's child would have appeared for a duo fight.
