  • Just picked up this used Vermeer S600TX with over 2,000 hours on it. We got a great deal on it for $9,000, but now I'm wondering if I overpaid. Join me as I inspect the machine and go through its features and issues. Will this be a good investment? Subscribe to find out!

Hey Mate, to remove the weight plate on the user plat form you need to remove the tracks to acsess the Hex bolt that works as a pivot for the platform. I just removed 2 buckets worth of slop out of mine. They are a great machine but a few design flaws being one of the first they made. Great video! Cheers

Nice work getting the Vermeer going. I would have taken the battery out and pressure washed anywhere the wand would reach. Nice getting the maintenance taken care of. It sure would be nice if you could get that stand plate off to clean out all that gunk. Not a bad purchase. Did you ever get the center toggle to set in it's detent? This was a fun project. Heck you can easily resell the Vermeer for more than what you paid plus what you paid for parts. Enjoyed a full-watch. 👍🏽🤠 6/25/23

I tightened the Allen head for the center toggle detent. The valve body was loose. It definitely took out some extra slop. But oddly there was only one screw so it might eventually back out. The engagement is also a little more firm than I would expect. But overall I am very happy!

You should do more videos exactly like this one, I’ve been looking for a skid steer just like this one, we’re did u buy yours at? Also on the bottom counterweight you can remove it by taking the bolt out of the left side, u mite have to cut the right side bolt off since the welded nut broke, but the whole thing will slide out after u remove the bolt on the left side

We found this on Facebook marketplace but also frequently monitor auction sites. Another landscape company had upgraded to a s925tx and weren't frequently using this machine anymore. Next time I do a deep cleaning I'll have to see what I can do about removing the counterweight plate/rider platform. It looks like there might be a bolt head behind the fuel tank but that means I would need to remove them.
