Are you concerned that 357 is such a "snubby" possibly loses a lot of it's power and potential, possibly turning it more into a higher 9 or 38? I have this in 22lr, now looking at 9 or 357.
I'm not so much worried about the effects of the caliber from the short Barrel, as I am the ability to place shots on target with accuracy. I am a VERY active shooter. I don't consider myself professional, but I've taken many courses, and sometimes shoot 2 - 3 times a week, depending on schedule and weather. With that said, this thing kicks like a mule!! I'm no weakling, and after a cylinder of 357 mag, it's painful..38 special? Sure, all day long.
@@sturny3698 That's very intriguing. You practice that often but still feel the effects of such high caliber. Sounds like my plan to go up to 9 before venturing further is a good one. (I do have a 9 micro semi, Max 9).
If you are going 9mm, and if you don't mind Semi-Auto, the Sig Sauer P365 (in a few variations) is awesome! I have a setup, basically the same as the P365 XMacro. Even the P365 XL is nice, but the compensated slide cuts on the macro really reduces muzzle rise by 25-30%, like it claims. Not a hoax.
@@sturny3698 A quick couple of searches seems to show XMacro isn't available in this state of California. For one the 17 round count, but Sig probably didn't even do any paperwork. In fact you may have heard that the standard 365 only just became CA available a few months back, made some big news and a lot of sellouts.
