Uber and Lyft are getting away with robbing the drivers especially with the amount of expenses ,time and responsibilities and a very high standard we have to do to make these companies rich. Bullshiznit

In my market, lyft's pay suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. As bad as uber's pay is, lyft's is even worse. And there are no "bonuses" in play. I haven't had any bonus offers from lyft in over 6 months. Nothing. No quest bonuses, no challenge bonuses, no guarantee bonuses, no consecutive ride bonuses, etc. Nothing. So they can't even say, well the upfront pay is a little lower, but we make it up with the bonuses. There are none. I can't imagine why anyone would voluntarily opt-in for even lower pay.

Lyft sucks shit! They DO! They pay $2.37 for a ride with up to FOUR people in your car! It used to be $2.25, I guess they think the 12 cent raise is a big deal.
I got a 3 dollar bonus unlock last night. It pinged me to take someone from south boston into mattapan, a 20 min grind into a bad area, to put it nicely. 5 bucks an change, which included “bonus”. The apps ride offers were so annoying I just shut it off.
When we thought we hit the rock bottom, they find new ways to dig even a deeper hole. Lets call this gig what it really is now, charity and goodwill. Driving more for less money does not make you more money. It cost you health , risk, sanity and more maintenance in a long run.

❤❤❤I have been driving for Lyft and Uber for over 8 years in San Diego, California. Once Lyft luxury ceased, I have not taken any more rides. The fares do not even cover operating costs! Delete Lyft ALREADY! This is a TERRIBLE business model. Prior to David, I completed over 7,500 rides working part-time.
Beware! When I was not getting rides I opened the Lyft passenger application but did not see my car on the map which also means I cannot get rides. I turned on priority mode and now my car shows up after refreshing the Lyft passenger app. I then turned priority mode off and refreshed the Lyft passenger app. Guess what - my car was not showing on the map. Beware! They are trying to force drivers to user priority mode to even get rides.

This is a LIE! You cannot use your Lyft driver app AND your Lyft passenger app at the same time! A notification literally pops up telling you this.
@@ShinjiTimC All drivers do this. You cannot accept a ride on the Lyft app if the driver app is running but you can run both apps at the same time. You can see where you are on the map and if your car shows up. Most experienced drivers do this all the time on Lyft and Uber including Sergio. I am in CA market for reference.

Don’t seek to join Uber or Lyft rewards. They’re all a scam. Only do trips that are profitable!!!
Worst scam perk is UPSIDE. Wide open to theft and invasion on devices. Did away with it on my Lyft passengers app when I was getting questioned by drivers in 7 states as to my whereabouts. Malware is all you get.
That's the only way I do it.
I drive full time for x rides. Lyft in my market is already much less per mile than Uber on the driver app. On the customer app Lyft charges more than Uber every day. The minimum fare is $2.00 for a driver. Why would anyone want less.

It's slow all the time in Chicago on both platforms. There's way too many cars, and it's getting worse. Prices hardly ever surge now. The base fares are a pittance.

We have reached a point of signing ourselves into lower pay!! This makes me feel dumb a a full time driver because Uber and Lyft dare to try all these games on me. Wtf!!
You are insane if you are still doing lift and uber full time, Unless you live in your mom's basement with no rent payment or something. It's a recipe for poverty being a full-time driver right now. With how bad they are ripping us off. I only do this part time now
I've been using priority mode for two weeks now. They guarantee that if you don't earn at least 15% more after having the application on for at least an hour, they will adjust your earnings the next day. This morning I started with a $9.24 adjustment. I keep both Uber and Lyft open. If i don't like the offer on priority mode I just decline it. Also with priority mode you accumulate points quicker.

I don’t drive a lot (20 hrs week) but did see the Priority Mode for a couple days. I did get more rides but they were lower fares. So I made about the same those 2 days.

It's tough to get a good job eight now. Bidenomics are driving this labor market and economy into the ground. Not many good jobs hiring right now, and many companies are starting to lay off now. This will get even worse as the year goes on...

Lyft pays only about 60% as much as Uber in utah. It’s extremely frustrating! I rarely drive for Lyft. Sometimes they pay 50 cents per mile like WTF!!! 👎

They also now suck even more, IDK how they can suck more but they just DID! Did you know that if you dont arrive at a riders house within an "ETA", and you are not "ON TRACK", you will not get paid a cancelation fee! This happened to me a few days ago. I arrived at my riders house after going slowly over a potholed road that has construction on it. The guy came out and said he had to take care of his baby, that had an "accident". IDK what that meant but I didnt pry. I said I understand, and kids are priority! I just told him if you cancel the ride its ok and I will move on. So I text Lyft "support" and was told thank you for my "understanding and patience" I told them I do not have either of those right now. I was also told to have a nice day after not getting this cancelation fee due to "Not being "on Track and not arriving at the ETA. I told them this has nothing to do with an ETA, the man had to take care of his child, thats why he canceled. They closed the chat and said its settled now"

Lyft rates are absolutely garbage. Priority Mode is even worse. DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE. You will get $3 rides the entire day. It's an absolute joke. This is absolutely poverty mode.

There is no slow time up here in Minnesota with Uber or Lyft - Unless your a Part timer , Cherry picker or multi apper now that's a different game . I have used Priority mode with Lyft and for me it save time , don't have to Multi app and most days if I work a full shift make about $320 to $360 . I am not a points guy but if you are ,being on Priority mode can also help you gain more points especially off Lyft so called busy times . Now with Uber they don't mess around its just gogogo and the algorithm is getting smarter drop a rider off and there someone near by ready to go ...
I was in boston last night, rolling. And lyfts ride offers were so low an trashy I had to shut it off. Why would I take a 40 minute ride into mattapan for 14 an change? Because lyfts algorithm is designed to move you around from “premium” area to area that are downright unsafe. I think its funny to, lyft doesn’t route me to revere, no, only areas like randolph, brockton, mattapan, roxbury. For less then 50 cents a mile an no time compensation. Lyft can suck it.
We here between DFW and Austin know our rates and perks. Biggest issue has been longer ride / better pay fares that suddenly disappear as the final miles to destination approach. To Lyft's credit they informed me I was reimbursed 140 bucks for 14 rides ended by the passenger minutes before arrival. I am Platinum, and best earnings have been tips because I strive to treat the passengers with confidence and care. Been notified of what that kind of service does to the wallet being in top 3% of earners.

Of course, if Priority Mode is used, it generates more points to maintain Elite status, even during days and times not having points toward Elite.

Solo should be available to all gig drivers/deliverers for free. I like the concept of it, but it costs $72 for 1 year of Basic up front.

I accepted two rides out of 21 on Lyft screw them who in the hell wants to drive that for $2 that's crazy

I didn't know Lyft had a priority mode. My acceptance rate is low so I wont be qualifying for that I'm sure. I have the SOLO app. I use it to track mileage and my income and expenses for tax purposes. Not sure how to set up that guaranty pay.
Do these rides apply for the new 70% guarantee though?

It is where they hide the money they steal from you. They don’t pay nearly as much for shitty insurance and they claim. Sure, they have some expenses, but not as much as the driver.
Guys find another Gig that world I do amazon flex and give uber or lyft only 5 hrs of my time except weekends cause its busy in my city I use to be that 10 to 12 hr chick shit nit no more I rather do 2 5 hr shifts with Amazon and get a guarantee 200 a day 😊

Lyft are rip off artists surge pricing my ass .noon it was 11.93 (I'll give a tip at this rate) then at 2 when I need it to get to work it's always 14? Almost 15 to go 4 miles ( I do not tip at this rate you got ur tip gouging me)
Greetings. As usual you only tell half of the story and most of what you say is a contradiction. However as usual you know your audience is full of complainers and victims so throw them the chum they need. Here are priority mode facts, In Florida.
1- You do not have to choose it.
2- You earn Lyft Rewards points 100% of the time
3- 15% less is relative because there is no pricing model or or pay model with up front pricing
4- Easier to hit ride challenges
5- If you just dropped off someone 75 miles from home, would you rather drive home empty?
6- It is another tool to make profit. 15% doesn't mean you lose money on the ride, just means you profit less. However CPU members like yourself would rather sit and decline 96% of trips instead of profiting $8.50 on a ride instead of $10 on a ride. (just an example of 15% for all the whiners and victims)
7- Ride bonuses still apply in priority mode as do ride streaks or bonus hours.
Joe, I know you are well meaning but the way you describe running a business is an outrage. Business have fixed and variable expenses. You must earn enough revenue to cover those expenses before you earn INCOME. I know you won't answer this question but I will ask anyway. Your car note is $500 a month, Insurance is $200 a month, and your rent or mortgage is $2,500 a month, all fixed expenses. $3,200 a month total, all due on the 1st of the month. There are 7 days left in the month and you have $1,500 towards your expenses. You can continue to CPU at 4% AR and earn $10 profit per ride OR click toggle on priority mode accept 90% of rides and earn $8.50 profit per ride. Are turning on priority mode or not?
100% of drivers know that Uber and Lyft are exploitive, abusive, (insert any adjective), and will ONLY do what benefits Uber/Lyft. A good business man takes ALL the roadblocks and succeeds in spite of them. Stop being a victim and playing to the lowest common denominator. TELL BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY and let drivers make an informed decision.
Here is an example of priority mode at work. Last night I had a private client. I drove her From FLL (airport) to Palm Beach gardens at 1 am $150 for a 65 mile ride. Now it is 2:30 am and I click on priority mode and set my home as the destination. Did the same with Uber destination mode, not one ping or trip radar. Took 2 rides for 70 cents a mile on Lyft totaling $36. The last ride dropped off 2 miles from my home. Should I have driven home empty? Is that how you run a successful business?
As I said priority mode is a tool to use for YOUR advantage.
