In RE Outbreak, if you die in multiplayer, you'd end up coming back as a zombie, and if you pressed the speech/vocal input to make your character speak, they'd beg for someone to kill them or say sorry. Seems like if you are in the extremely early stages, but your body still dies, you'll be aware of the fact you have little control.
I don't really get why people thought Brad speaking was unrealistic. Brad was still alive and in the final stages of zombification. The "sorry" was the last vestige of Brad's humanity before he fully turned, its why he's completely feral by the time Carlos got to him. Murphy from the first game showed this is possible. He was in the process of turning while begging Carlos to put him down, because he knew he's going to start eating people real soon.
the Movie poster called "Wolf of the Battlefield" is a nod to the capcom game "Commando" namely its Japanese name Senjou no Ookami which the poster is the English translation of.

Something interesting I noticed, on the train, Mikhael tells Nemesis to get off his train "Sh**bird!" before blowing it up. Later we hear Jill tell Nemesis to "Come out and play Sh**bird!" in their 3rd fight. At first I thought she says that in honor of Mikhael, but how could she have heard him? Also why Sh**bird? XD

You missed a few Aliens references! In addition to the Sigourney reference you noted, the game features William Hope (Gorman from Aliens) as Nathaniel Bard and Mikhail Viktor. Mikhail dies in a similar manner to Gorman, blowing himself up to buy time for Jill/Ripley. The Drain Deimos section now greatly resembles the Alien nest, and their new ability to parasitise their prey seems to solidify the link. And lastly, a much less solid one, but the final form of Nemesis has teeth/facial features VERY reminiscent of the Alien Queen, and like her, Nemesis is stuck to a wall in this form. Seems like there were quite a few fans of Alien/Aliens on the staff!

Idk if this counts as an Easter egg but I noticed when your first encounter with the Hunter in the Hospital, you view from Hunter’s perspective running towards the door leading to Carlos. This is actually a call back to Re1 Remake when you view the first hunter’s perspective running to door leading to Chris or Jill.

When Dario Rosso say "Get your own Missy", Jill respond with a little confusion say "Missy ?" i think it's reference from RE7 when Mia chased by Marguerite, Marguerite will say something like this "There's no way out from there Missy" By the way, nice vids Ink Ribbon "If it's just looking, window shop away"
I remember I was terrified of nemesis as a child but was like oh its just a game that could never happen and now we live in a world where that can happen...... in other words I played this game for the first time on mushrooms and let me tell you that is one hell of of an experience. highly recommend
Never noticed Morrigan on sign board. Thanks Kai! She's been my #1 since middle school. A shame Capcom has no desire to revive the Darkstalkers series.
Details like these makes me want to believe that developers did all they could do to make it the best game possible in limited time. In such situation we have the blame the management, that just wanted to release the game quickly before the next generations comes. Shame really, an extra hour of gameplay would make a big difference for this title. It's still an enjoyable game, I don't regret paying full price during premiere.
If you consider Lisa Trevor a traditional zombie (albeit an immortal one) she speaks in REmake. When Jill & Barry push off those giant rocks near her mothers tomb she shrieks “MOOOOTHEEEEERRR!” before taking a swan dive into the abyss.
Location of Transit: NONE They're glorified shipping containers meant to sent Tyrants across the globe to take out targets. I assume the events of the first two games put a stop to that. Sorry about the late reply.
There's a pachislot game loosely based on RE1 where the zombie version of Forest Speyer actually speaks, asking Jill to kill him In that game, Jill wears her classic RE3 attire for, uh, absolutely no reason.
If you wanna know my thoughts I thought this game was extremely disappointing. Too short should've been DLC, Nemesis was predictable and kindadum, Carlos was so annoying plus I didn't like his design he looked like junkie. Would've liked to see Barry more. Capcom should've remade the entire game than focus on Resistance.
4:20, I personally think the whole thing about Barry not being around was that it was the only way to make Nicolai's fate ambiguous in the remake: The only reason Barry was around was for a way for Jill and Carlos to plausibly escape since Nicolai took their helicopter in one of the possible endings in the original game. In the remake, they decided to have one ending, and to make this one ending fit with every single possible ending in the original was to give Nicolai a way to either die or survive without us knowing for sure. So, in the remake, they have Jill and Carlos take the helicopter, with Nicolai injured but still alive before they fly off where he can presumably do something like take that other helicopter on the pad. ...not that they'd ever bring Nicolai back in any sequels at this point, but there was one file in some other game after these events that kinda shows that he canonically survived.
That thought that was weak ass. Capcom has always been very lazy with canon when it comes to Resident Evil, the canon is completely a shit show. In the original, we know Nikolai survives and Barry saves the day. Why they decided to change it for remake is beyond me. But Resident Evil history is that side kick characters tend to survive and then get ignored. Nikolai as far as I know is the only human enemy who survives other than Wesker and is ignored in the series for it.
FINGR - I wonder if that's actually a nod to Misaka Mikoto? The Level 5 Railgun. Her famous move is to use a coin to massively electrify with her fingers and project it really hard towards a target with the coin toss gesture.
Nice stuff. Really like R3 Remake but wish they had have just put in bit more of RE3 and definitely think they missed a tick not having the stand and fight or runaway choices in all the Nemesis battles.
There is another dialogue of Carlos, well, one that changes depending on your actions (I guess?), that when you finish to reactivate the power at the Substation, Carlos will tell you that you need to go to plan the route for the subway but that he does not know where the building is, and Jill will tell him something like "that's very helpful" in a sarcastic way and Carlos sound a little sad (or angry) and he says that he's doing what he can. If you already went to the place where you plan the route for the subway before reactivating the power at the substation then Carlos will tell you kind of the same but Jill says that she might knows where the building is and Carlos congrats her for going one step ahead. I think is kind of a simple thing but I haven't seen too many videos about RE3R talking about it, I suppose that it is not tat big of a deal, hehe.
I realize this is nitpicking, but they replaced the S&W 629 .44 magnum with a reused RE2R asset, the DEagle. This change is even more bizarre when you see that the challenge names for the magnum are direct references to Dirty Harry, which made the S&W 29 (regular version of the 629) famous. Just seems weird that they'd replace that iconic weapon with the DEagle we already got to use in RE2R.

In the re2 remake after Ada and Leon encounter Annette the zombie that was set on fire has a plagas coming out of it's torso. Ive never seen this mentioned before but always thought is was a cool nod the developers featured to connect the future of the virus to the original story.
Yes tht was Indeed a g embryo, however : in the remake universe, the ne alpha (which was crucial In creation of G virus) is an artifical replica of Las plagas after umbrella discovered stories about saddler and his cult thru folklore, tht thy tried imitating said parasite, meanin Las plagas had a hand in creating nemmy and g virus, and to further bk tht up : look at the g embryo and ne alpha, thy both look almost identical even emit the same orange/red hue outta their "eyes"(g embryo) and "mouth" (ne alpha),and capcom actually confirmed tht this was indeed the case in remakes thy did so to better connect the stories, and to top it all off: In 4emake trailer where saddler supposedly infects leon thru parasite tentacles comin outta his left wrist,it's the same exact manner in which nemesis infected the zombies with his parasite, and same way In which Birkin infected sherry and chief irons and many others with his embryos
What about the Resident Evil 2 saveroom music when carlos is in the photo development to I thought that was really awesome and how we get to see the two cops in the hallway get killed by the licker
03:35 - We might have confirmation about that soon if the leaks about Outbreak are true tho. 08:05 - It's a mass production of Tyrant. Not Nemesis, Nemesis was produced in an Umbrella Lab in Paris and was unique. 12:20 - This is 100% plausible. Especially if he's zombified since 5-15 minutes only. In Outbreak, when you die in online mode (wich can still be playable 2022 with obsrv on emulator), your character is also able to speak once zombified for a short period of time. For example he can say "what happens to me ?". You can control your zombified character for a short period of time before he's gone for good, wich is almost what happens to Brad.

In the hospital, not the first hunter gamma but the second pair that you can see through the glass before you get to them . It's the room with the cassette tape I think. If you back up or exit the area & come back the hunter will walk through the door or either half its claw or arm will actually be protruding through the door. 🤘✌🐸
In the Umbrella Lab Nest 2, I understand the idea of those giant bags hanging containing more Nemesis Tyrants, but where it cuts off is that Nemesis was a guy who was made into the Nemesis, making him a one of kind, so it's most likely more Mr. X Tyrants
I am sad cuz of the amount of cut contents from the OG game to remake, it would've been great if they'd added most of it if not all, but that's all what we got. I know it would taken longer and would've been expensive to develop, but it would've also been great, I must say its a missed opportunity on Capcom's part.
I was actually watching the Silent Hill Casual Livestream then this was posted hahahaha keep it up Kai
Silent Hill and Resident Evil are my all time favorite horror franchises.
I was just watching older secrets and Easter eggs videos and then boom other one
Thanks! i finished the game 6 or 7 times and missed quite a few of those!
I really liked all the side dialogue they gave Carlos in the R.P.D. Wish Jill had more too.
XD
man i love this game but it would have been amazing if they didn’t cut locations and extra modes like Merc from it, anyway great video kai keep em coming 😊
Mind blown... Always felt like a deja vu moment wth those nemesis teeth...
I absolutely loved this!!! And I still love the original just as much, if you see it as a reimagining rather then a remake it's fantastic
I wish the campaign had HALF the love Resistance has gotten.
I thought resistance sucks
@@aaronjames3228 It's hard to start playing, due to fact that this game uses "Peer to peer" conection, on PC it's highly posible to run into a cheater on either of sides and player base is just a lot of try-hards that won't let you have fun and use cheese strategy's. In PS4 i herd it's way better, so if you want to play Resistance it's safe to say do so on PS4. The game have one of the best online experiences in all of multiplayer games in general, and best among Resident evil online games.
Capcom really wanted an online game, RE3 remake is just a single player DLC for Resistance
1:07 there is Annette photo pinned on the buletin board
Great video.
RE3R has so many little details and references from RE saga that I'm trying to discover as much as I can.
Ps. I'd like to clear about the diary that it could be found in Jill's flat (the one you said it's of mercenary) actually it's of Jill's from original RE3
12:30 also "Mayday....mayday... This is the queen Zenobia... Emergency call number...." from Revelations.
Also Rachael laughing and saying "It hurts" when shot.
When Dario Rosso say "Get your own Missy", Jill respond with a little confusion say "Missy ?"
i think it's reference from RE7 when Mia chased by Marguerite, Marguerite will say something like this "There's no way out from there Missy"
By the way, nice vids Ink Ribbon
"If it's just looking, window shop away"
I think that she was just annoyed at getting talked down to. No grown woman likes to get called missy.
It's still an enjoyable game, I don't regret paying full price during premiere.
finally someone who realizes this game needed to come out before RE8 and all this next-gen stuff.
It is good game but feel game was rushed out on time
i bought it for 29€ when it was on sale and honestly it is not a good game :/ i regret buying it.
I bought it full price for 2 consoles and don't regret it at all
compared to the Original, yes.
But i try to see it as a DLC episode for RE2Remake.
@@MarinetteDupainCheng564yes it should have been DLC!! Never going to beat original game!! Out of 2 remake RE2 remake is way better
@@HunterForHire422 not saying game is bad it is fun game!! Can feel it was rushed out
If you consider Lisa Trevor a traditional zombie (albeit an immortal one) she speaks in REmake. When Jill & Barry push off those giant rocks near her mothers tomb she shrieks “MOOOOTHEEEEERRR!” before taking a swan dive into the abyss.
She is infected, but not a zombie.
She was tortured and their body would heal itself to the point of no recognition
She's anything but a traditional zombie
I actually did not notice the dagger was spelt HOT DOGGER. XD
I'm still curious what labels "L.O.T: NONE" on Nemesis container mean
Location of Transit: NONE
They're glorified shipping containers meant to sent Tyrants across the globe to take out targets. I assume the events of the first two games put a stop to that.
Sorry about the late reply.
I know you mentioned the board in her apartment but you can see Annette Birkin in one of the photos!
There's a pachislot game loosely based on RE1 where the zombie version of Forest Speyer actually speaks, asking Jill to kill him
In that game, Jill wears her classic RE3 attire for, uh, absolutely no reason.
For fan service lol
The actor that played Mikhail in this game is also from aliens. (William Hope)
He also played Nathaniel Bard! :D
@@Lurmmings Who do you think you're talking to? I'm goddam Nathaniel Bard!
Yeah it's funny that Mikhail dies the exact same way his character dies in Aliens too. "You always were an asshole, Gorman."
Despite the remake being a failure,i loved the unlockables, weapons and outbreak references😊
Great, I've been waiting for this episode
Everyone hates this game but I love it man. It's so fun
As a remake of the original, it fails. But as it's own game, I'm on the same boat. It's an awesome game and it's super fun to play
Nice that you kept your eye out for these references. I didn't notice any of them because I never played the original.
The supply cases Nemesis drops were definitely disappointing.
darcy The entire game was disappointing IMO. It honestly would have a top tier DLC for REmake 2 but as a stand-alone game it just lacked content.
You could say the same about the whole game.
@@LookingGlass69 and i bet you're a disappointment talking like that

Dude I literally beatef this game twice today from start to finish and you upload this lol
4:20, I personally think the whole thing about Barry not being around was that it was the only way to make Nicolai's fate ambiguous in the remake:
The only reason Barry was around was for a way for Jill and Carlos to plausibly escape since Nicolai took their helicopter in one of the possible endings in the original game.
You didn’t mention Carlos interacting with the shutter or door in the lobby at the RPD.
FINGR - I wonder if that's actually a nod to Misaka Mikoto? The Level 5 Railgun. Her famous move is to use a coin to massively electrify with her fingers and project it really hard towards a target with the coin toss gesture.
Love the lore behind the easter eggs, so nostalgic of the old games! 6:48 Megaman kinda looks like Frank West, no?
I was/am still pissed they removed the Clock Tower quest. I loved it in the original game.
I appreciate that even though Capcom gave up on the Outbreak franchise, they still acknowledge the events and characters as canon
If you examine the spade key doors in the RPD station, Carlos will comment on how strange they are in a seeming fourth-wall break.
I still have a blast with this game during night playthroughs.
6:45 This was probably the only thing i caught myself on release lol. Great video as always!
Carlos was done so well in this game, I hope CAPCOM brings him back this way.
I like when they have nods to the Outbreak games. I love those games.
those games were legendary
@@Zyzarda Agreed
I was waiting on this one even tho I knew most of these but I really enjoyed it great job kai
Yeah I'm really sorry I tried but there just really isn't much going on behind the scenes of this game ☹️
@@InkRibbon oh no kai don't be sorry you did amazing job man I just meant I played re3r so many times I naturally found these but everybody might not have so you did a great job getting these easter eggs and we all know re3r was basically rushed out the door hopefully capcom learned they lesson it's not your fault I feel kinda bad now ngl
In the start of the game after Carlos saves you, if you move away from Carlos and go farther away from him when he and jill are talking about UCBS responsible for the city crisis, come back and he will say something else like "Look i didnt know okay" but if you dont go away from him he will just say what he will usually say.
Love ya kai. Def my fave re lore channel. You're love for the series is definitely reciporicated with me bro

You may know this one :
Carlos also has a line when he looks at the picture hanged on the right wall in the RPD hall.
I forgot the exact words but I think it has something to do with taxes (if I remember correctly)
In the re2 remake after Ada and Leon encounter Annette the zombie that was set on fire has a plagas coming out of it's torso. Ive never seen this mentioned before but always thought is was a cool nod the developers featured to connect the future of the virus to the original story.
Actually no, that was a G embryo implanted by Birkin. It's why Annete says:
"This is definetly Willam's work."
@@sherif956 g virus isn't descended from plagas in any way.
Great video! Currently hunting these eggs for myself
What about the Resident Evil 2 saveroom music when carlos is in the photo development to I thought that was really awesome and how we get to see the two cops in the hallway get killed by the licker

10:23 Omg I KNEW that was a reference to Fatal Frame. For a second there I had a stroke and thought was Fatal Frame Capcom, no it's Tecmo🤣😭
Your videos butter my biscuits thank you
Try to open the door with club symbol on ground floor of RPD and Carlos comments on how it’s a weird door, Kai, how did you miss this?!

The first one that tries to attack you as you walk into the door & open it. If you back up or exit the area & come back the hunter will walk through the door or either half its claw or arm will actually be protruding through the door. 🤘✌🐸
Those are the Betas

This might have been said already but I'd always assumed the "camera kill" line from Carlos was in reference to Dead Rising, not Fatal Frame.
Kai, you're getting me through a boring Friday night.
Also from the rpd if you examine the uniform, carlos will say something when in the poster boy room
In the Umbrella Lab Nest 2, I understand the idea of those giant bags hanging containing more Nemesis Tyrants, but where it cuts off is that Nemesis was a guy who was made into the Nemesis, making him a one of kind, so it's most likely more Mr. X Tyrants
Nemesis is creepy when starring at you. 😆
I am sad cuz of the amount of cut contents from the OG game to remake, it would've been great if they'd added most of it if not all, but that's all what we got. I know it would taken longer and would've been expensive to develop, but it would've also been great, I must say its a missed opportunity on Capcom's part.
Lets hope they don't do something like that for RE4 remake.
And good job doing these videos buddy, you've got yourself a sub. Keep them videos coming.
Hey Kai, did you catch the Dino Crisis nod with the dino bites ad in the subway? Red bite is Regina, yellow bite is Dylan. It could also double as an M&M reference, but I think its a DC one first. Love your channel! Wish I had to courage to do one myself lol
the outbreak easter eggs are pretty interesting
A great thing to wake up to a new Ink Ribbon Video Greta job again Kai
Love the video but homeboy talking like he was a scientist on project nemesis 😂
02:58 the logo of Zapata Beer is the animated version of Samantha Stephens from Bewitched starring Elizabeth Montgomery .
Another thing, but this one being for both RE3s, Nemesis was never named in the original, he was simply called "the Pursuer" while in the remake Nicholai is the one to mention it
You also find a note in the lab that mentions it's name
