1:45 Ok, I love Jill and all, but that may be my new favorite death animation in the entire franchise
LOL!!! Poor Jill
They should have added that in the remake..just a random tentacle-attack that ends in a death animation.
Plot twist:nemesis make jill into a jill sandwhich
Wow, never saw that one, mainly cuz I've always had either gotten to Jill first (most often the case) or managed drive off Nemesis (VERY rarely done, unless Carlos never shot at anything else but unloaded on Nemesis).
I love how Nemesis was so pissed at Jill that he smashed him like what Hulk did to Loki.
I would like to see Capcom explore the idea of the failed nemesis’s that were deemed “too intelligent”
After they escaped, they were probably put down as soon as possible with all the weapons Umbrella had. Not only would the be dangerous for obvious reasons, but at the time they could be proof of Umbrella doing shady stuff… not that it mattered by the end of RE3 though. It would be a neat idea of the BSAA having to track down one of the rogue Nemesis’s though, but maybe there could be a morality question of killing it if it’s too intelligent and isn’t violent.
The powers of nemesis with the mind of Hannibal lecter. Yeah, you don't want that getting out. Lol
The fact that Spencer wanted to further the evolution of humanity and decided NOT to let the intelligent culture developing failed nemesis live for further study purposes is really shocking to me, like you created something that is actually exhibiting human intelligence and behavioral traits if I was trying to further humanity I would at least let them live a little longer to study just how a potential society would work
@@jackierocha5096 Nothing is shocking, Spencer didn't want to lose control, and such creature couldn't be controlled.
@@equalpartsmusic someone needs to draw that or SOMETHING i need to see it not in my mind 😭
When my aunt played RE3 for the first time in 1999 and i was 5 years old watching beside her, Nemesis gave me the most bed-witting nightmares of all time but in a shocking way i grow fondly of him over the years, he was truly the greatest horror element in RE universe original games
Salute to your cool af auntie for letting 5 year old you chill with her while she got her game on!
You have a cool aunt
RIP Mr. Rosato. You'll forever be immortalized in the RE Universe for your contribution to the series.
"That's Mama Luigi to you STARS"
We've lost Leon Kennedy from the og re2 and Cassandra Dimitrescu re8 and then Nemmy
Also. There's another fact that you forgot to mentioned about his voice actor in the remake of nemesis. He was actually voiced by the same actor as the remake Nicholai. Neil Newborn. He is Credited as "David Cockman". Which is a pseudo uncredited actor. Capcom or Possibly the developers of the re3 remake or even neil newborn himself were probably the once who made them up as a joke that confused fans or games if david cockman is a real person but it turns out it's Not.
Neil newborn is also actually voices nemesis besides nicholai.
Bonus fact: The original Nemesis rocket launcher is a FIM-92 Stinger, the same kind snake uses against Metal Gear Rex in MGS1 and it's remake.
Except his was modified to be mag loaded.
Wasn't the stinger used for taking down enemy aircraft and not personnel?
@@Seriona1 Imagine having a magnum cartridge for a rocket launcher, well, okay technically it's a missile launcher (missiles are just guided rockets).
@@CorsairAB It's still in use today and that's it's purpose, but no reason a weapon can't have more than one use, anti-tank missiles have been used to destroy low flying aircraft and likewise anti-aircraft missiles have been used to destroy tanks. If we wanna be technical, taking down a transport helicopter is pretty much taking down infantry and other personal.
It's not though. Maybe based on it but you can clearly see differences in the 2. Just looks like a cartoonish bazooka to me
26. Nemesis was the first B.O.W that can use Heavy weapon to help him pursue his target, some of it including Rocket Launcher, Minigun (RE Apocalypse, RE Operation Racoon City) and a flamethrower (RE3 Remake)
27.Nemesis was 8th most favorite RE characther all the time and the only B.O.W characther that make it to Top 10 (According to Gamefacts poll in 2017)
28. He was the first tyrant on RE Series that wasn't kill by a Rocket Launcher
He does get killed by a Rocket launcher wdym?
@@Dizaxly-69 in gameplay ? Yes, but storywise ? No, since in RE1 and RE 2 B Scenario all the tyrant boss got killed by rocket launcher and nemesis got killed by the rail gun and Jill can choose to either leave him and die because of the Bomb or finish him with the magnum

I remember playing this around the same time, though i was a bit younger. The game would make me scream everytime he showed up yet i couldn't stop playing. I became obsessed with horror after this and Resi 2, despite they gave me the creeps and i would play whenever my little brother was in the room, just to have company (never told him this, of course). Man i loved the original games, 2's remake was nice but it never quite tops the chills the original 2 had.
Good old says when we'd give kids these games
Okay but the idea that there were MULTIPLE prototype Nemesis tyrants that were getting smart enough to basically be superpowered humans(with them developing ego, rebellion, CULTURE, along with even attempting escape, those are all very human behaviors that no other zombies have shown before) is a really interesting thing that I wish would actually be explored someday in a future game, because if a bio weapon is able to act & behave like a human and has the intelligence to rebel against creators then the possibility of getting them on your side for a mutually beneficial thing(destroying their creators) would give such fascinating story options
Also here's a fun fact about nemesis in the beginning of the game nemesis is left handed and attached you with his left side so you can fight him by approaching him from his right side but as the game progresses and he takes more damage he becomes right handed and you have to attack him from his left side.
I never knew that Nemesis could burst through that chapel door!! And it's been like 18 years since i played re3 first time and i have lost count how many times i have completed it. Lol. Guess you always learn something new. Great video as always Kai!

Worth noting the fact that in the original due to limitations Nemesis could not follow you into a room until the door was off camera, giving as much time as you need to plan how to escape.
Not enough he still catches me
Nemesis is basically Umbrella's very own Terminator. Ever since I was a kid, he always scared me. And when one of my older brothers played the original RE3 and when he got to the clock tower and saw Nemesis shoot down the helicopter, I wish I was there to see his reaction. That would've been funny.
"His official name is not Nemesis, fans gave him that name.... his official name by Umbrella is Nemesis T-type"......wth?
We could say specie Tyrant or T-Type, model Nemesis. So, we just use the model name and not the full name.

Yet I didn’t know
22) He would run past you in the church and kill Jill? That’s never happened to me. I either kill him or run to Jill first myself. Had no idea!
9) That grenades & Gun powder C make freeze rounds. I had to combine 2x Gun powder C’s to create freeze rounds.
the way you combine the gun powder to get the freeze rounds give you more rounds the way ink said you get less but you get it a lot sooner ypu can do so much with the gun powder its crazy

Resident evil may have fallen and re risen but nemesis will always be an amazing antagonist and will never be forgotten
Only not long ago I've found that in the acid battle, Nemesis could lost not only his arm but his head too, and continuing fighting.
Lost both arms, head and later his torso
And still managed to restore his body by consuming the corpses in disposal area (bubbles)
I do love Nemy. Poor guy gets bad rap. All he wants is some S.T.A.R.S. But no corner shop is willing to sell him some Milky Way Chocolate Stars. It's such a distressing tale. Poor Nemy. :'(

Indeed plus a " pervy" fact. Nemesis+cut scenes+dual shock controller=best vibrator ever. 😆😆😆😆
One question i always had was how Nemesis was always able to track down Jill.
Would've been cool for the remake to explore that.
My guess was always that a company like Umbrella would most likely have access to blood samples of all the S.T.A.R.S members and that Nemesis literally smells their blood to track them
I am guessing Albert wesker, the leader of S.T.A.R.S and the person who is associate with Umbrella, he could have implanted all the information of his members to nemesis that's my guess, also he's kind of related with the Umbrella CEO
I believe the director of the original game said his blood starts boiling whenever STARS are in the area.
Oh yeah, he smelled Jill's blood alright. Racoon City started to get zombified during her time of the month.

I miss the mid transformations, now they just fall into water or crash into a wall and five seconds later they're 20 times larger.

The craziest fun fact about this game that I never hear anyone mention is that the head of the alligator from RE2 and a regenerator corpse from RE4 are in the acid room...the 2nd to last fight against Nemesis
One other fact, it was confirmed that the NE-A Parasite is derived from a fossil of Las Plagas.
This likely means the Lab complex on the island in RE4 is the Umbrella Sixth Laboratory after it was abandoned following Umbrella's fall.
Lame. If you mean the remake. Tha parasite on nemesis was a seperate one.

Fun fact about Ink Ribbon: There’s a purple add-on for Nemesis in Dead by Daylight called “Depleted Ink Ribbon” which makes zombies walk faster
3:17 Damn, never noticed that!
Actually, technically the first monster who spoke in the series was G. In the original re2, Sherry did say she heard her father call out to her but by then William had already turned into G1.
Yeah, in the remake he also begs for help in the first form.
Just a bonus Facts
Nemesis have appeared in some crossovers outside of the Re Games
He Appeared in MVC3, UMVC3, MVCI, Project x Zone and Dead By Daylight
The origins of the Nemesis has always been a mystery to me and i wondered who the Nemesis really was originally. I had it for the PS1 but then i got it for the Dreamcast 20 years ago and i still have the Dreamcast version to this day! Such a retro classic game! I like the remake but nothing beats the '99 classic!

When I played re3 at 5 years old I thought his name was umbrella 😂😂😂
When i was 5. My brother buy the original game and i have encountered the big cheese for the first time and i got panic and i don't know what to do, i got scared. and and and he quickly grabbed me then picked me up on the ground then instantly kill me with a some sort of a peepee(i did not know it was a tentacle at the time. Kind of sad shirtless Nemesis form was not in the remake. I dunno, I kind of like how it shows how messed up he is but still had a body builder type build.
"super" nemisis as I grew to call it
I wish he took a more gradual mutation process in the remake, going through everything he did in the original but also new forms. I think the giant maggot/flesh wall form should have come after the form that was the final boss in the original game.

This was super interesting as I didn’t know most of this! Honestly, I’m really interested to see you talk about nemesis in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. That’s the true version of nemesis lol
Uh..... no.... lol
Resident evil 3: nemesis is the REAL nemesis my friend.
MVC3/MVCI Nemesis is much more taller than the original Nemesis, which is only a shoulder and a head taller than Jill. That thing is a watertower disguised as a Nemesis.
i always thought it was odd how so many people thought Zombie Brad shouldn't have been able to talk in the remake when Nemesis was always saying "S.T.A.R.S." and then RE 4 came
I mean, to be fair, Nemesis was also established as being smarter than all the other monsters in the series, while zobie Brad is just that: a zombie.
The remakes are trash but here's the answer of your comment, brad can talk cus he became a zombie in that moment its a reference to the original game and code Veronica diaries were they start writing their changes and even wrote that they start feeling hungry, the comics made that instead of coming out of the closet the zombie was finishing writing his notes
Brad's brain wasn't completely rot yet as he was turned while being alive so he can atleast speak. Human bodies only rot if all the vital organs shutdown, so if he was actually killed before, the virus would require some times before fully reactivating the dead cells and his body. Only during this time the brain function can reduces due to decomposition.
Nemesis is just a smart, lab grown boi.
@@Saddonghussein This. Brad was going through his "Itchy, Tasty" phase of becoming a zombie.
Also the fact that in Resident Evil Remake (I don't know if it is in the original) a zombie literally wrote in a journal, reinforcing the fact that you hold a little of humanity before turning into a zombie if you just got bit instead of getting killed
I don’t know if I’m looking into this too much but nemesis doesn’t mutate because he was damage. He mutates because his coat got destroyed. It’s called the a trench coat limiter because it suppresses his mutation. So getting damaged didn’t make him mutate, nemesis gets damaged before his coat get destroyed and doesn’t mutate. But more like the coat itself was containing his mutation
That's true
True because once the coat burned, he came back shirtless with an arm full of tentacles
the infinite ammo drop in the clock tower is only on subsequent play throughs. On the first play through of the game (meaning NO epilogue files), He will drop a assault rifle (fully loaded) instead.
Yes and in order to drop the assault Rifle or the infinite ammo case, Nemesis must be defeated or knocked out in all his appearances except when he fights Michail.
@@Rafesco Actually you can also get away with that fight on the train because when he fights Mikhail he doesn't drop anything.

Whoa! I had no idea about the Nemesis breaking down the door to kill Jill in the original RE3.
Now I am glad that I clicked onto this video. I didn't think I would learn anything new.
FUN FACT (unless I’m wrong then it’s not fun): Prior to the Resident Evil 3 (2020)’s Nemesis redesign, the original Nemesis design's last appearance and best looking version of it was in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Once again Kai with the great videos!!!!
Fun fact. You can briefly confuse the Nemesis by pointing towards the night sky and yelling "STARS"!
That jill-slamming though xD Forgot about that
Additional info that comes from the cool Bradygames strategy guide. I had it back then and the illustrations are cool. When Nemesis grabs you, he's doing the grab stance/animation that Sagat from Street Fighter Alpha 3 is doing, except for the knee hits, it's just the one-hand grab.
I remember first time my brother and I played the original re3. Seeing nemesis for the first time killing Brad was horrifying and so unexpected
So Nemesis was named by fans while his real name is Nemesis. I think my brain got fried at the first fact
i thought the same thing
😂😂
Yeah, homie is just ummm special

Edit: in the Manhwa(cantonese/Hong kong comic). Nemesis was once Human, he is a Boxing Champion and a Familyman, but unfortunately, his family were killed by some organization(possible Umbrella/BOW group) and he was hired to be in the Nemesis Program and thus, Nemesis was Made according in the Manhwa. Score PN confirms this detail on the non-canon Comic.

Oh yeah I just remembered that nemesis's Dashing Punch cannot kill you at all. I think it's a oversight that capcom programer's didn't pay attention to or was an intentional nerf to give some bad players a chance but still keep nemesis a constant threat.
The guy who programmed his grab kills must've been really proud of his animation so much he demands the player to only die by that attack alone.
Yet his dashing punch can indeed blow off a zombie's head as it counted as an upper attack, very weird.
I need to dig it out, but one of the issues of EGM I have from back in the day had interviews with pioneers of the RE series and one question was "is Nemesis a character we've seen before in the series". The answer from them was "yes, it's a character from the series that fans are familiar with and will play a part in future installments". I've always wondered about that.
I dunno where I heard this but the reinforced biker outfit that Mr.X and Nemesis wear is not only for protection but also to restrain them from further mutation and growth, something we can see every time they lose their clothing or if they're butt naked.
Yessir! They're called Trench coat limiters just for that reason
Omg been waiting on this one much love kai a.k.a. ink ribbon
Question about one of the facts. The one where you mentioned that Nemesis absorbed some of the fluid from the dead factory. I remember reading that Nemesis got enhanced by consuming Tyrant flesh. In that room if you look around there are several dead Tyrants and if I’m not mistaken there’s some kind of book or comic that goes over that. So basically it leads to me a “which is correct” question.
Here's what happened.
1.) In the treatment Room, Jill slowly melts Nemesis until he's headless and armless.
2.) Nemesis mutilated corpse got lowered into the Treatment Water for dissolving failed bio weapons
3.) Treatment Water does not work because of the sheer amount of corpses and material, it only partially dissolves him, allowing him to absorb some viral material in the water and mutate, but also destroys his intelligence.
4.) New mutated Nemesis is now a blob of flesh, without intellect and just following it's instincts.
5.) It seems a dead tyrant and eats it, now it's mutated further.
Both are actually correct.
@@johnzkeePW he still got some intellect or at least survival instict
Once you deal a lot of damage, Nemesis retreat to consume Tyrant's dead body to restore his form
@@Onigumo. That's correct. He kept a minimal sense of his mission because he continued hunting Jill.
Thank you. This was really informative. Excellent work. Keep up the awesome work.
You missed his appearance in Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. Even though it is not canon, he appearance is very well noted in the regular campaign as you try to reset him which leads to him being programmed to fight the STARS members which I thought was pretty cool and nice nod to RE3. There’s also the campaign with the Echo Six as you have to fight him by letting heated steel drop on him which is the only thing that stops him. There’s other parts in the Echo Six campaign where you fight him but those are pretty note worthy
Man I was looking for this comment I was like what about Operation raccoon city

One fact that may not be about nemesis itself but RE3:nemesis is that after you beat him in the dumpster you can see on the upper room yellow bubbles from nemesis's body underwater.
The NE-Alpha parasite was also manufactured and spearheaded due to Umbrella's inability to locate the long rumored Los Plagas. Prompting Umbrella to create their own mind controlling parasite.
Which, after Los Plaga's discovery, Nemesis, and the coveted discovery of Megamycete, the T-Virus was practically rendered obsolete and was only revered for it's regenerative abilities and zombie byproduct. The Corporation truly was after mind controlling properties, in which the executives, Spencer, Wesker, would finally be able to enact their secret eugenics programs.
As the Nemesis project was first directly overseen by Umbrella HQ, in Europe, the origin of Los Plagas and Umbrella, until it was transferred and received later successfully in the Arklay laboratory.
some people hate on RE3 remake nemesis but i really liked his design over the old ones! imo he looks even scarier then
Exactly!
And, akin to Birkin’s malformations, it gives much more variety.
Plus, he has plenty of tentacles in his original form anyways. Adding some more and calling it “a new form” is a stretch.
6:42 - I remember when I played the japanese version of the game years ago after obtaining the infinite ammo from Mercenaries, Nemesis would drop an Assault Rifle instead. This happened to me probably twice. I`m not sure however if this was because I alread had the infinite ammo or not. If anybody knows the right answer to that please let me know.

You know, back then when the internet wasn't so widely use, I use Resident Evil Hong Kong comic as part of my guide since they also put some of the similar game moments in that comic too.
It's almost poetic that the Resident Evil movie Nemesis fights against his programming and is all about Alice. It's like a metaphor for that entire film franchise. Thank you, movie Nemesis, for reminding us that the Remake Nemesis with his rad outfit will never be the worst.

Yeah Nemesis fights were shitty.......watched Maximillian play through it and he was so utterly disappointed with the fights (they were too easy and gimmicky as well, Nemesis didn't feel like a threat due to poor writing either).
The Remake is atrocious! All the capabilities the engine they made had, just for them to push out the money grab it truly was. Instead of expanding upon the original they seemed to reduce it and make it a single path game for the most part and then to not include mercenaries mode as if they were focusing on making the story better! I mean C’mon how does the original have more replay ability then the “remake”?!?! They should have stayed faithful to the original and taken more years to develop it IMO I wouldn’t have been mad about that in the least. Sorry that my passion explodes! Have a great day
@@doubleabeast2378 Yeah it’s a huge missed opportunity and they shot themselves in the foot! They had to drop the price once people learned how shitty it was.
2:50, that was the hardest puzzle in RE3, yes, even the water sample puzzle in the Dead plant is EASIER, it's just shape alignment.
Tony Rosato, also voiced Luigi in the Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World cartoon.
So before he became the fearful Bio Organic Terminator who kept on bodying us in game.
He was also Mama Luigi.
Yes. Finally someone know what's up
5:47 Not even Umbrella was capable of such profanity
Can we get 25 facts about Brad
Dario Rosso shared a voice actor with Nemmie? Rad!!! RIP
Nemesis was based similar to SF's Sagat. Tall and one eyed. You can see in the art of Sagat where he hold's Go Hibiki Dan's father similar to how Nemesis holds a dead Brad Vickers.
I truly admire your content, especially on the Resident Evil franchise.
As a heads up, Nemesis wasn't the first monster to speak, Dr. Berkins was the first.
Remember, that after Dr. Berkins mutated into the tyrant, Dr. Berkins spoke saying, "Sherry...." and others.
Hope that you continue with your awesome videos!
@PurpleGamer1020 Yes. It was a typo.
I played these games sooo many times and completed them an equal amount. but i must have sucked at it. I never heard of enhanced ammo, never figured out the easy kills on Nemesis and i don't remember ever getting more gun parts from Nemesis'body other than the eagle parts.
My first video from you. I was entertained.
Actually there’s 4 spots that Nemesis can get stuck. The 4th spot is during the Clock Tower boss battle.
I am also going to say that the posters in the resident evil 3 remake also foreshadow the game. For example, the one with the bowling ball poster is when Jill was running away from the giant head that was sliding down the stairs and the one that says they were only sleeping, it foreshadows the nemesis in the acid and not dying, he came back stronger than ever
