I first read about TA when a friend suggested I read Born To Win in 1994. The book has opened my eyes about a simplified version of Freud's partite of the mind. I have read a lot of Freudian and Jung psychology but found it difficult to grasp and understand psychological terms and deep rooted complexes. Since then I have read everything about TA. It helped me to understand a lot about my personal issues in life and the human behaviour because of my abusive childhood and why I am an introvert. I have also read I'm OK - You're OK by Thomas Harris and The Road Less Travelled by M.Scott Peck .

T/A works very well at the personal subconscious level . . .
At the risk of being redundant I like to put it this way ! ! !
It is structured meditation which uses Parent Adult Child icons . . .
as a foundation to guides me through my ego states ! ! !

We relate to friend, Partnr, boss differently. We set different boundaries,
Eric. Our behaviour depends on our feeling. PAC we keep shifting ego state.
Parent ego - taught behaviour. Controlling parents, nurturing parent ego
Child ego - free child behaviour,
Adult ego - seeing here and now. Respond with maturity, respect and compromise.
TA helps to rely on adult ego state.
    Complimentary transaction

When your talking of the child state, a blurb pops up during adaptive sub state stating (sometimes rebellious). Wouldn't being "rebellious" be more indicative of the spontaneous, or free, child state. Note: I'm learning this and not a therapist. I just want to understand correctly. Thanks for sharing this information. Your the only one I can really understand about this subject.

I'm really greatful.... this is the first time for me and I'm intrigued by the theory that it makes sense on life and experiences that I have had...
