    Excellent as always ! its so refreshing to listen to someone who shares their own experiences instead of just telling things theyve learnt.Makes it so much easier to relate and understand. You soon feel as though Yazz is a friend - her delivery is so open friendly and approachable .

    I agree they should teach this in schools this is great info thank u. This would of prevented a lot of prolonged arguments sulking and stress trying to figure out what's the problem and why some things a person could say and how they say it has such a negative effect on me which normally leads to a negative reaction.

    Love the content, but the speed is very fast for my Child part who keeps wanting to ask questions. Would love if you had someone there to ask my questions for me. I understand that some research shows that grown-ups learn by discussion and interaction. Perhaps you could consider that as part of your series, which I hope you intend to continue. Best of luck to you - it's great to see TA free of charge - the world needs Berne's insights, and thanks for making them available.

      Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for your feedback and you are spot on, interactions and further exploration is necessary for our learning process. I am working on some courses, webinars and podcasts which I hope to make available in the future, stay tuned for more 🙂🥰

    In your bio, "I was excellent at quadratic equations, studied my butt off and for what, never had to use them in everyday life, actually EVER in life. Yet what I have learned throughout my journey from the age of 32 I have found to be the most invaluable, useful and life changing knowledge I could ever have been made privy to." That pretty much sums up my personal hypothesis. Your insights are on another level of value. Is there a way to ask a few questions via email or something? I also want to start doing videos of everything I'm learning (Psych_MA) but in terms of experience, I'm coming from the "child's" ego state but I am adaptable. Great work, seriously!

    Hi Yazz. Firstly, I want to say how informative and inspiring your video (part1) is. I am currently receiving counselling for work related stress, depression and, for good measure, anxiety. My counsellor discussed Transactional Analysis and I was so intrigued I wanted to know more as it kind of made sense of certain situations and how I felt. I came across your video which was easy to understand and I am able to work with. It's as if things are falling into place and I have a deeper understanding on how my thoughts can affect my behaviour, but also as to why and what has been the cause. I feel "awakened".
    I will carry on with the rest of the videos and continue to work with them.
    Words cannot express my gratitude but just to say thank you.

      Hi Alison, my apologies for the delayed response to your comment. I just wanted to say thank you for your feedback, it means more to me then you could ever know, and well done. Well done for not only facing your fears and working with them but also for getting out of bed everyday and giving it another shot, no matter how tired, empty and scared you may feel. Keep up the good work and I'm proud of you xx

      im sorry to hear you are suffering... there is a great video on here th-cam.com/video/l4kxkKkJmXU/w-d-xo.html it only breaks down into a simplified part of this clip above... which so far is the best one I have seen... there is actually very little on the subject that goes deep, so it's nice to see... have a nice week if you can...

    Yeh, I find confrontation hard. I either behave like a doormat for years or I attempt try to raise one small issue and it seems to escalate, I think partly because they pick up on the fact that I'm really upset and stressed. I try to communicate it as something I'm calmly directly communicating but it plays out like I'm super upset and it becomes a big deal when I just wanted to 'tweak' some minor thing.

    The reason i came here is my wife as she studied this course and graduated, she tends to use this skills on me which sometimes got mind blocks, It indeed had negative impact on my state of mind until i felt threatened by something bigger than i understand or could handle, so I divorced her and I'm happy I've done it , so now she is happy married to her diploma and Im free, she has a dog which may practice her skills on with no response, and I wish her all the best, i will use this skills to defend myself in the future, and I'll sit and watch.

    Hi Yazz, thank you for the wonderful videos. I may be wrong about this, but I wanted to ask about some observation I have - at 12:50mins of the video, where you illustrated which egostate works well with and not, I am surprise to see that RC works well with AC. How can AC work well with RC, instead of a Parent or Adult egostate? I thought a AC would be bullied by the RC. Would be good to have a better understanding on this :-)

    It possible to retrain parenting style? And override critical / judgements parent ?

    • @YazzdotLife
      @YazzdotLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The key is to give the CP less and less attention and work with our child states to manage the effects of the CP language and criticisms from a more empathic, nurturing and motivating place. In time and with practice the CP dialogue gets quieter and quieter and the adult/empathy/encouraging dialogue becomes the norm.

    Could ego states have different personalities, ages, interests, genders, appearances, preferences, or feel like they belong to different names?

    • @YazzdotLife
      @YazzdotLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes to a certain extent but one would need to be certain that this is not a Multiple Identity Disorder or other form of psychosis and so I would recommend speaking with a GP in order to discuss further and if necessary a referral for appropriate diagnose/investigation be made. Email me on Yasmin@yazz.life if you need/want more detail on this.

    The length of this video could be cut in half, easily, if she didn't feel the need to say the same thing ten different ways with every example. I am tempted to mimic it here, to show how frustrating it is, but I don't want to be petty or sarcastic. Point is: cut the needless, excessive repetition and examples, please. It's bogging down the pace and I'm looking elsewhere for more concise info. I liked the personal anecdote about being a "parent" manager, on a more positive note. :)
