I love that the clear knobs show the light colors beneath. Makes me wish my pedals lit up lol.

I use a little bit of blue lock tight on the grub screws. None backed out yet. Going on 2 years of heavy use.

Great video J! I remember seeing David Gilmour’s Pete Cornish pedalboard and wanting to find a company that made switches with large buttons in the Cornish style. I actually wanted to swap out the switches in my pedals at that time. When I first looked no one was making these. Then years later when I looked again Barefoot Buttons was the only one making them but I couldn’t afford them at that time. A few years later I decided to get them and discovered Mooer was making a pretty cheap alternative out of plastic.
So now I use the Mooer Candy Toppers. They just pop on and can actually spin but not fall off. I got 30 of them for $30 CAD at that time (probably $20 USD) and I’ve given a bunch away to friends. I put three of the white/clear ones on my HX Stomp for the same reason of being able to see the light through the switch. They only wear out if you put them on and take them off pedals quite frequently. If you just put them on one pedal once they won’t ever fall off.
I only wanted them to make playing in my bare feet/socks less painful at home. I’ve found that they make everything easier for playing live as well. Mooer don’t make any tall ones though, that looks super practical!

I saw the Mooer versions, but as you mentioned, I really love the "Tallboy". It makes it so much easier when it comes to getting to harder to reach pedals.

Yeah Tall Boys come in handy so much.
And they feel like they could survive an alien apocalypse because how rough they are.

Are their different post diameters? The Bare foot button I purchased did not fit over the post of my pedal

Hey! Yes, they have different versions to accommodate various switch types. Please read their website carefully to make sure you are purchasing the correct version.

No, never heard of it? Is it a glue of some sort?

One thing no one is taking about is the potential for these to shorten the lifespan of your switches. The topper can act like a lever and increase torque on your switches in a way that isn’t healthy as you are not always hitting the switch dead center and causing it to be pulled ever so sightly off center as it depresses. Over time this can cause a switch to wear out faster and eventually fail.
My pedal tech advised me to stay away from them and doesn’t use any of them on his own pedals.
    Just something to think about.

I've been told that as well. I was considering them but I found out that they can either short the switches out or worse yet break them off.

So it’s $7.50 per button?. . . Two or three buttons per pedal is going to get pretty expensive even with only five or six pedals. Thank I’ll wear shoes.

HAHA! Yeah, I wouldn't want to cover my entire board with them because it will add up for sure!
