This isn’t as rare as they’re saying. It’s just that a lot of parents just think one of the twins is smaller. My friend fell in 1990 and started bleeding. She knew that she was pregnant, but not with twins. Found out that she had lost the smallest baby, but the other one was ok. Gave birth to a perfectly fine baby boy.

@@ShirleyLestrade Yes, she was great, she didn’t even look like she’d been pregnant 24 hrs after she left the hospital. Sooo envied her.😅I’ve just always remembered that detail about twins because her doctor said it’s a lot more common than people think. I do wish that I had’ve thought to ask her doctor if that means we could be like cats and get pregnant by different guys or if there is something in our genetic codes that would get rid of the second baby. But, if it’s caused by the body not knowing it’s pregnant yet, I don’t see why it couldn’t get pregnant from different men.

I actually recently heard a story on TH-cam where a father did a paternity test on his twins. One was his and the other wasn't.
I don't know how true the story was. I just know it was on a channel called Strong Successful male.
It's actually very rare to get pregnant while already pregnant, you're talking about twins already existing, it's not the same, get educated 😂
That happened to me, but I didn’t find that out until they were born and they dissected the placenta, it explained why one was always smaller than the other. They were 7-10 days apart and born the same day. They turn 12 tomorrow and are the youngest of 8.

I am watching a series on Netflix and the woman also conceived two babies 3 weeks apart. If you ovulate twice in a month, you might fall pregnant with the second baby. I thought it was only a fictational story, but with this video it is confirmed that it does happen. Surely a miracle.

It's more common then you think. Also each baby can have a different dad. Also happens with in-vetro and then naturally.
There is a movie on Netflix where this happened. Different fathers.

As the mother of twins,let me say that TWINS are THE BEST!!Congratulations, they're beautiful! I can tell you from experience, I had twins,and a just turned 2yr old,by myself for almost 4yrs. No family ,new town where I literally didn't know one person,,& still healing from broken shoulder & other injuries. I didn't have a phone, and if I can do THAT, I realized, I can do ANYTHING! Shout out to all you single parents putting your kids before anyone else,and staying disciplined for the good of us all. I love my kids more than anything else in life.

I got pregnant again 6 months postpartum so I have Irish twins and they're 3&4 now but I still live in fear of having 2 so close together again because man this is tough and even tougher when they become toddlers 😂

Been throigh this twice. First time it was twins and i conceived a 3rd. I lost the twins but carried the 3rd to her full term. Shes newrly 16.
Second time conceived the one, and then 17 days later conceived the 2nd. They were born at 28wks due to the later "twin" being very small and not growing well. The later conceived twin was 1lb 2oz, the other was 2lbs 7oz. Theyre now almost 10yrs old and amazing girls.

Back in 1962 my twin and I were born he weighed 9lbs 2oz and I weighed 3lbs 2oz she was tpld the same thing i was concieved a month later

That's a blessing in itself as well. Most of us never heard of this till this post. Then reading ur comment I'm like the Holy Spirit is def amongst all of us bc I don't believe in luck or luck all bringing us 2 comment on this post. But I def believe Father God reveals stuff 2 us all of the time. Whether we always recognize it is a different story but will admit I unfortunately don't always recognize it myself. But have been paying closer attention ❤
This happened to me in 2010. I was 2 weeks pregnant and got pregnant again. They were triplets. 2 were identical. I still have the sonar pics of them.
Also met a lady who had twins and other other one happened to be smaller, I think this is what happened with her as well, she mentioned that earlier scans also showed one foetus. I think it is more common than we may think just that it’s not really talked about much often
A lot of medical testing is done. Sometimes one is vastly smaller than another other baby in general.

I have twin uncles born on different days yet born 15 minutes apart from each other. 11:45pm Saturday and 12:00am Sunday.
I have a friend who has 2 boys. Born on same day BUT exactly 1 year apart. She got pregnant 3 months after having her first child.

The one where your friend got pregnant 3 months later after just having a baby is called IRISH TWINS. Where you get pregnant directly or close to. I have two cousins who are only 10 months apart, she got pregnant 3 months after as well and then had the 2nd baby early, premature,so instead of a year apart, it was only 10 months.
I've heard of this with two different fathers, so it's to hear they both have the same dad.
I attended a thanksgiving Mass of a woman who has quadruplet after 10 years of waiting for another child after her first child. At first, the scan showed only one baby; few months later the scan showed triplets. The four babies are alive and doing well but the woman suffered partial stroke but she is getting better as at the time of the thanksgiving. It is a rare phenomenon indeed.
Sending prayers to this woman and her family.. It’s amazing what a woman’s body will do. I pray to God that she quickly and fully return to health💕

This happened to me too. My twins were two weeks difference in gestation age. The neonatal team was pretty excited about it because they said it was very rare.
My cousin had twins this way. One was 2lbs and the other 4lbs at birth. They're now 5yrs.

I went to high school with fraternal twin sisters , and this happened to them. It is very possible to get pregnant while pregnant as long as the cervix hasn't sealed itself off, yet.

@@japarosh007 No....they are twins that result from two separate eggs released from the ovary and fertilized by two different sperm cells within the same menstrual cycle. The two fertilized eggs implant in the uterus and develop during one pregnancy.
@@PregnancyandPostpartumTVSo I take it mom had multiple eggs that got fertilized at different times. Is that how this works? I have twins myself that were in their own sacks thank goodness. They were both breech so I had to have a C-Section. They were taken out two weeks early and I wasn’t at all dilated. They were still 5lbs 7oz, and 6lbs 2oz. They gain a lb a week the last month so they would have been quite big for twins.

This happened to my aunt in the 80s when she was on fertility drugs to get pregnant. She got pregnant with her daughter, and like a month later two twin boys. They’re triplets with different gestational ages

This happened to my mother in law. She was pregnant with my sister in law and two weeks later ovulated and got pregnant with my husband. They came early and my sister in law was 5 weeks early but my husband was 7 weeks early and needed to be in the NICU. It is very rare but happens.

It's very rare in most animals - very common in some, though. I think domestic cats are the most likely to have it. It's pretty common for a litter to have two dads between the kittens!
It's not possible in humans people just don't understand how babies are measured..
A baby can measure 10 weeks and 1 day and that doesn't mean that's how old they are. That means that that is the size that they are..
And you can have two babies Measure very differently and they're still twins .

That happened to me. With my triplets. 1st ultrasound I thought ok twins. 2nd ultrasound thrd baby showed up. ❤
Same my doctor said I conceived twins then a bit later a Singleton so technically it's twins and a Singleton but because they was born on the same day makes them trip triplets. They don't look alike really but my daughter April was the smallest of them all

This is pretty common. My aunt and my dad are twins, born on the same day, youngest of 7. But my dad was a premie baby, while my aunt was full term. The doctors thought that he was probably conceived about 3 weeks after my aunt from how small he was.

Denke genau das hatte ich auch. Hatte zwar am Anfang zwei Fruchthöhlen , aber bei dem einen hat man was gesehen, bei dem anderen nichts. Erst einige Wochen später sah man dann in der anderen Fruchthöhle was.

I had the same experience with my grand twins they were three weeks apart . They're both beautiful and healthy babies now

They say it's rare, but it happens more than you think. The only reason they say it's rare is that only a few cases have been documented. It's more noticeable when the pregnancies are farther apart, meaning you got pregnant in two different cycles. However, you can get pregnant during the same cycle within a week of each other, which is harder to determine since one fetus just looks like it's developing a bit slower.
That happened to my grandma except the babies were 3 months apart. She has 2 fully functioning uteruses. She miscarried the second one because the first one (my uncle) was much bigger. She then carried my uncle a total of 11 months. This was over 50 years ago so intervention was rare unless medically necessary. Also yes she would sometimes have 2 periods a month, she would also still get her period through out her pregnancies. She's also super human never really feeling pain from labor and was able to read a book through most of her deliveries. One of my aunts she even delivered in the hospital without the drs or nurses knowing, when she told the nurse the nurse argued with her that she didn't have a baby yet till the Dr came in and lifted the sheet seeing my aunt laying between my grandma's legs. My grandma is a bad ass and at the time a medical phenomenon. At least in the smaller towns she lived in

The one who was conceived 3 weeks later must have had major fomo, and wanted to join in, and didn't want to wait any longer 😂... She was like "wait for me! Move your tushie over brother, I'm coming in too." 🤣😝
